1. Trump's obvious amphetamine intoxication makes him an unreliable witness but one thing from his interview I note is, he admitted that he wanted the DC National Guard deployed 3 days before the attack. My theory is that the coup potters needed the Guard to clear the Capitol to
2. block the count. The fake electors were just a part of the coup. Three days out he wanted the DCG in place. I make that likely by Jan 3rd. But on Jan 4th, Trump's acting Secretary of Defense issued a direct order that only he had the power to deploy the armed DC Guard. 
3. That order would have likely required Miller's removal to countermand his clear order that DCG was not to be deployed as an armed force capable of forcibly clearing Congress from the Capitol needed to accomplish the strategic objective of both the fake elector conspiracy and
4. the Capital attack. One thing seems apparent from the interview and his bizarre belief that Nancy Pelosi was to blame for not having the Guard in place is that he knew the plan was going to fail. He couldn't stop it and without the military force to effect the coup plot all he
5. had left was blame to lay on people like Barr and Speaker Pelosi. But he said nothing about Miller. My guess is the people like Kash Patel and others who he had planted in DOD still do not want their complicity to be discovered. I also think Barr knew the plan all along.
6. And because Barr was gone December 23, Trump just admitted that the plan was in place by then. Barr likely kept quiet because he expected Georgia would have at least one Senate seat go to the GOP. But by the morning of Jan 6th, that became the final piece of the coup to fail.
