1/ A former convict and ex-Wagnerite has started his own "Taxi Wagner" service in Russia's Novosibirsk region. Valery Bogdanov says that he is doing "a noble cause for the local residents". ⬇️ 
2/ Bogdanov has started a Wagner-themed taxi service in the town of Bolotnoye, about 128 km north-east of the Siberian city of Novosibirsk. So far it only has one car, but he says business is good and plans to expand.
3/ Bogdanov has five criminal convictions for theft and robbery and was serving a sentence for possessing drugs when he was recruited by Wagner. He completed his six-month contract in May 2023 and was awarded the medals “For Courage” and the Wagner “Black Cross”.
4/ After returning home with a pardon, he decided to start his own taxi firm, using his own car. Bogdanov says: "I saw on the internet that people in the city complain about taxis. There are not enough cars, you order one and no one comes, or they refuse to take you far away."
5/ "Everything is different here, people are happy that the car always arrives without any problems. We are slowly developing, we will expand." He says that he is planning to hire more drivers to meet the demand for his service.
6/ “I rethought life and realized that it should be lived with dignity, and not wasted in any way," says Bogdanov. "When I returned, I decided to do a noble cause for the local residents."
7/ "People, in general, are happy, many are even willing to wait for me to carry them. Despite the fact that there are other taxis in Bolotnoye, passengers choose me."
8/ It was recently reported that former Wagnerites are facing difficulties finding jobs, as many established businesses will not employ them. Many are having to work in relatively low-paid roles instead, such as driving taxis. /end
