“So less than 5 months from now, we’re going to defeat crooked Joe Biden, we’re going to take back our country, and we’re going to Make America Great Again!”
We have a spate of 'trust the plan' devolutionists of various stripes suggesting that Trump is saying here that their fevered dreams and anti-constitutional fantasies are going to come to fruition and Trump as the true President is about to reveal himself.
Maybe. But I doubt it.
What is more likely...
That Trump is hinting and winking about super secret hidden devolutionary processes from the campaign podium...
...or...
...that something a little more mundane is going on?
The devolutionists (or whatever) have already elucidated their fantasies (which would mean that Trump as President is responsible for all that is happening, that Trump shredded the Constitution he is sworn to uphold, etc.) so we can leave their record to speak for itself.
I am going to articulate here what I think is far more likely the case with Trump's recent hints at pre-2024 election happenings.
Look carefully at this:
“So less than 5 months from now, we’re going to defeat crooked Joe Biden, we’re going to take back our country, and we’re going to Make America Great Again!”
He says Biden will be defeated and the country will be taken back.
He does not say that he will take back the White House in five months, despite being very explicit about taking it back after November 2024.
With the Executive Branch, there are only a very few deterministic moments:
1. Election/Inauguration 2. Impeachment and Conviction 3. 25th Amendment removal 4. Resignation 5. Death of the President
There are no other Constitutional means to replace a USA President.
I believe that Trump is either going to defeat Biden while keeping him in situ. In other words, Biden will be trapped in a box of corruption and investigation that forces him into an inert caretaker mode with a Cabinet that finally starts to do their Constitutional jobs,...
...or Trump is aware of looming circumstances that will/are likely to bring about a 'defeat' of Biden via the means numbered 2,3, or 4 above.
I have written before about a potential "resignation cascade" that will be precipitated by Demo-rats fleeing the sinking ship.
Biden as Rat in Chief is certainly eligible for participation in the #ResignationCascade
Given the corruption tempest building, the 25th Amendment and/or impeachment & conviction are obvious possibilities. Biden's increased frailty also calls out for the 25th to be considered.
With Trump fully engaged in multi-front law fare via his (currently) four sets of indictments, with his campaign in full swing and receiving live results regarding his standing with RINO opponents and Biden coming in hourly, with his private intelligence apparatus...
...telling Trump what is going on behind the scenes, with his moles in the Democrat Party feeding him intelligence, etc., would you be surprised to learn that Trump knows enough to make an assessment regarding the likelihood of a range of outcomes that could/will take place...
...in the next five months that could be described as 'defeating' Biden?
Is it reasonable that these same circumstances (such as widespread indictment of criminal officials, etc.) could lead to, for example, the resumption of constitutional operations at the border...
...which could reasonably be described as taking back our country?
Would Trump really hint at top-secret and supra-constitutional machinations from the campaign pulpit?
I doubt it.
But I am quite confident that if he possessed sufficient information to make an assessment...
...regarding outcomes that will eventuate over the next five months, and if these outcomes included defeating Biden and taking back the country (and especially if he was sure that telling us would not screw up those happy circumstances), he'd let us know that such was coming!
Occam's razor suggests that we choose the simplest explanation, absent other factors.
In this instance, are we to believe that Trump's words are confirmation that the supra-constitutionalists, the devolutionists, the 'trust the plan' opportunists, are correct?
Or are we to suspect that Trump's words are telling us that he knows more than we do and that we can look to our civics class education (if one is fortunate enough to have received such) to understand what the possible means of defeating Biden and taking back our...
...country in five months or so really are?
There is a saying in medicine:
When you hear hoofbeats, look for horses, not Zebras (this is a North American aphorism).
Thus, when you hear Trump, are you looking for secret, supra-constitutional and unprecedented...
...explanations?
Or are you looking for explanations grounded in the Constitution as written?
I'm gonna go with the Constitution.
END.

"Politico reports Kerry disclosed “it’s going to take a little bit more work to break new ground” in negotiations between the world’s two biggest greenhouse gas polluters, with more talks about further talks ahead."
Talks about talks? That is hilarious and shambolic.
At the same time as Kerry is being humiliated in China, Saudi is hosting a summit between the GCC and Central Asian nations that is clearly a serious diplomatic event where substantial progress was made.
Yesterday, I wrote a comment suggesting that Trump is waging an Information War that has a goal of not merely winning the '24 election, but also doing so in a way that delivers him to the Oval Office...
...with an unprecedented mandate to destroy the corrupt deeps state that permeates the federal government.
I was immediately asked a couple of questions:
1. How can Trump win if the election rigging is not fixed? 2. How can Trump smash the deep state if he is not naming names? If he did not even get any big players into orange jumpsuits in his first term?
