Has anyone done any reading on the Woman at the Well as a lesbian living under capitalism? Five husbands, and the man she lived with - not her husband. I'm reminded of Mariana Lawton who had to marry to survive, though retained her love for Ann Lister.

I thought I might talk a little about this recent "call" by Greater Love for the Gov to "drop plans" for a conversion therapy ban in the UK.
Greater Love, apparently, is a group of Christian ministers who will not EVEN UNDER THREAT abandon The "Christian doctrine of marriage". Image
I looove when people say they wouldn't abandon Jesus on the cross or their stance of homophobia under any circumstances, even threat of death. As a kid growing up, it was always external threats which held us in place. One day the government will kill Christians, we were told.

First of all, know there are Mental Health helplines out there, with a variety of focus. There is a good list at Mind online.

I recently downloaded the Wysa Health UK app, with a mental health AI Penguin who will talk you though lots of basics around mental health. Very calming. Was recommended this while on a waitlist for further help from the NHS relating to stress, anxiety, and so on. Image

Look, I'm sure these Journalists all have important things to say and their exploration of Hillsong, but, I do feel one writer in particular who has been right up there in terms of blowing doors open AND connecting with survivors and providing contacts, is missing. Image
