That project was Keleidoscope - an explicitly anti-gay kids project... If you don't know, Living Out is a Christian organisation in the UK which is based on the "celibacy" model of Conversion Therapy Practices, encouraging people to suppress their same-sex attraction in order to follow "God's" design for marriage

I'm back because I want to do a long form here on Mountain of Fire and Miracles and talk about Conversion Therapy Practices not being just a white story with white survivors, white queer culture and Church of England assumptions I was recently sent this horrific book of Healing and Deliverance Prayers for Gays and Lesbians (@ The Midnight Gate) by Anthony O. Akerele. Also known as:

I'm reading the Makin Report. I'm not planning a detailed live read after the Soul Survivor Report tweets really took it out of me. I will make comment as I go. I'm confident the report speaks for itself, and recommend reading in full and digesting the implications for all The opening points 1.1-1.12 alone are enough to lead to mass resignations. This Report is truely heartbreaking and I'm on page 2 of over 200.

Right. So, we *think* Derek Prince might be the first references to homosexuality being influenced by the demonic. He actually referenced this in his training course materials in 1971. I have not been able to get hold of his training materials from then, but I *do* have his book. TW. incorrect and unhealthy teaching on demons

It's here, in some training materials from 1971, between fear, resentment and doubt, and tumours, fits and cramps, we have one of the earliest references to Homosexuality as linked with demonic suggestion.

I do not claim to be an expert on Safeguarding Practice, especially in regards to Children. I'm just someone chewed up by the system and it's definitions of 'vulnerable adults'. I remember this was absolutely cheered at the time, and yet they seem to have produced under the radar and in the pretence of inclusion, a fresh new yoke of burden.

So, what they are saying is you can offer prayers in the way you'd do Christenings but NOT in the way you'd do marriages. Basically, they are saying same sex couples are NOT equal to straight presenting couples. What did they think the POINT of the prayers was if not to celebrate same sex relationships/marriages. Who was asking for prayer for you and your bestie????!! Ridiculous.
