1. The House Rules can't change the succession. McHenry is an acting Speaker Pro Tempore he is not the Speaker. The Rules contemplate a prompt action to replace the Speaker not to provide for a temporary Speaker who has access to the Gates Procedures disclosure or any of the
2. gang of eight privileges without a vote of the full House. @PatrickMcHenry has already shown himself a petty individual who by recessing the House without a vote exceeded the power of a Speaker Pro Tempore something that was was neither "necessary" nor "appropriate"
3. under Rule 8(b)(3)(A). His actions to cause unnecessary and inappropriate inconvenience to the former Speaker Pelosi while attending to the funeral of a member of the Senate is an affront. His adjournment for part of one legislative day plus three following legislative days
4. violated the Constitution Art. I, 5 and may arguably give rise to recess appointment power. McHenry should be forced to hold a session to vote on the Speaker Pro Tempore and cannot declare himself a de facto Speaker with the power it carries by fiat of a Speaker Pro Tempore.
5. The Minority Leader should demand a parliamentary ruling on the propriety and legality of the Speaker Pro Tempore's intemperate acts and demand that a vote be taken on who will act as Speaker Pro Tempore as provided for in Rule 8(b)(3)(A). @RepJeffries @SpeakerPelosi

What are the chances that the reason Musk is pursuing the DC Circuit case to reverse the order prohibiting Twitter tipping off people subject to RealDonaldTrump Stored Comms Act (SCA) search warrant is because he actually tipped off people subject to the SCA search warrant?
What if scrubbing Twitter back ups and watching the legal dept was worth $44 billion to someone?

MTG was at two meetings at the White House. One was on Jan 5 thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/2021/02/viral-…
The other was likely Dec 18 but this report says the video was Tweeted from her account on Dec 21. All of the posts that had links to her account in them prior to Jan 9 are gone with her posts. rawstory.com/rep-marjorie-t…

1. I had a front-row seat to the extremism that rose in the Clinton administration later exploding under Obama and Trump. I don't think there's anything we can do to fix the extreme right. One benefit derived from Trump admin was his call to white nationalists and Nazis to come
2. to DC to be photographed committing felonies that will put them in prison and bar them from ever owning firearms. We have to stop thinking we can wish-away the danger these people pose. I think Garland knows he can't fix the rising Nazi movement but he can destroy it.
3. Jack Smith is the kind of person you might pick to do that. So here we are. Uncharged members of the House are now trying to find a way to return to their plan to overthrow the Constitution. But they made a mistake in shutting down the House. It can't function until

Why would Trump say he's going to be at trial in NY to get out of a deposition? Here's a possibility First, nobody in their right mind would not file bankruptcy when the state court is set to obliterate a large business and Trump is about to perjure himself.
If they filed Bk for some or all impacted LLCs, NY court is likely to order the automatic stay applies. So Monday morning he can put that case on ice. But the Cohen case is just Trump suing Cohen and I think most if not all bankruptcy courts would say that even
if Donald filed a personal bankruptcy that case is not stayed because it's not an action against him or his property. So as they were going through the list of pending litigation the motion today was just a little housekeeping ahead of the filing.

With so many Trump cases to follow I hadn't been paying much attention to the NYAG case that was in the news today. For some reason I thought Trump had a large commercial litigation firm doing it. Then I heard reports it was Alina Habba so I looked at the docket.
Habba may be involved but I don't see her filing documents after the answers. Trump's firm is a five person commercial litigation firm with an office on the east side of Manhattan and one on Long Island. I don't see any evidence that they have insolvency experience and in my
view are too small to be dealing with a trial this large, even a bench trial, and massive corporate receivership that according to the order is likely to commence in about two weeks. Here is the firm website. They also do business divorce. Image

1. I firmly believe that upon his confirmation, Merrick Garland authorized a counterintelligence investigation to determine if there was any foreign involvement in Trump's attempted coup. We know Giuliani worked with Kremlin intelligence so he would have been a logical target.
2. Merrick Garland assumed office on March 11, 2021. I would expect the first FISA order would issue about 30 days later. FISA would allow one year of surveillance that is broken into four 90 day orders. See Carter Page. Until that was completed it would be prudent to stand down
3. on the subjects who were within the scope of the FISA orders. Many thought Garland was dragging his feet. I suspected he was simply doing the kind of thorough investigation the threat of a failed coup required. So, about one year later, on April 21, 2022, he put Tom Windom

1. Ukraine can't match the US air war capabilities but slowly they're adapting to accomplish much of the necessary steps towards reaching air superiority or at least parity. First they had to take out the SAMs. The HARMs and other missiles
2. along with the drone and missiles attacks have cut Russian air defense missile capability significantly. They may be able to still reload but Ukraine's use of massed drones and missiles followed by Storm Shadow and Scalp has made places like Sevastopol undefendable.
3. It's unclear to me but likely known to Ukraine the estimate of remaining S-400, S-300 and BUK missiles command units and radars. As the air war intensifies with Ukraine using cheap drones to lure expensive missiles while exposing the radars to HARM strikes,
