"Hamas made a grave mistake this morning - it started a war against the State of Israel." Defense Minister Yoav Galant, this morning: "The State of Israel will win this war."
Those following the news out of Israel and Gaza have been wondering if Hezbollah would potentially get involved. A relatively minor event just now, 2 Hezbollah members on bikes "went under fire" in Matula, northern Israel and were killed.
Gazan infiltrators lost a skif, a RHIB and a bulldozer/backhoe along with many KIA and WIA to Israeli naval gunfire. Cyclical fire rate suggests 76mm autocannon, which would fit for Sa'ar 4.5 missile boats and Sa'ar 6 corvettes.
It also cannot be overlooked how chaotic the paragliders might be. Without knowing just how many were used, even several creating multiple MCIs in unprotected communities would sow havoc, the likes of which hasn't been seen for some time, if ever.
Fighting ongoing in 25 locations (per Hamas) with 3 considered under full Hamas control (per @hamdahsalhut). 2 of these locations have ongoing "mass hostage situations."
- Israel: 290 dead, 1500+ injured, unknown number of captives held in Gaza, though number is perhaps in the hundreds. Numbers expected to climb as areas unreachable.
IDF tanks are on the move south toward the Gaza border for a likely ground war in Gaza while Hamas has been sending armed groups to key areas in preparation against any Israeli invasion.
As Moscow comes under yet another suspected Ukrainian drone attack, several commercial aircraft routed to Vnukovo were temporarily put in hold patterns (~20 minutes). Some traffic seems to be allowed to continue now.
Substantial glass shattering from at least one drone or responding AD impact.
There is a crazy amount of footage coming out of Khartoum showing fighter jets across the sky, continuous gun battles and explosions across the capital as the Sudanese Army fights with the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
RSF forces claim they have captured Marawi airfield (video supports claim). RSF also claim airport at al-Abiad and the main airport of Khartoum, which has suspended all flights.
