Russia is clearly behind this. No ally of HAMAS except of Russia has experience of using bomb-dropping drones against modern battle tanks. Only Russia could train HAMAS in this:
In 2022-23, leaders of HAMAS visited Moscow at least three times, meeting Russia's FM Lavrov and a Chechen dictator and a terrorist Kadyrov, openly speaking that they discussed "a new world order" with Moscow, as well as "weakening Zionist tumour and reshaping the West".

Vladimir Putin repeatedly delivered extreme antisemitic commentaries this year, joining harsh antisemitic expressions by Lavrov, fully in decades-long tradition of Moscow (read the whole tread under the link):

Some more thoughts and why I think that Hamas is just a pawn in this game, and the planner is Russia:
1) The level of Hamas attack is unprecedented. It is huge, and it humiliating and shocking. It is not like kidnapping an IDF solder to trade him for prisoners;
2) It is clear that Hamas will not be able to keep control over any area. They will be pushed back. And the retaliation will be severe
3) The retaliation: you do not mutilate bodies of Israeli women and gun down Israeli children, everything on camera, hoping to get away with that
3.1.) It is clear, that the retaliation will be HUGE. Probably no attackers and direct commanders will survive it. Are they insane? Did they planned this part too? I don't think so. Hamas knew perfectly how to balance between violence and getting EU funds. This is different.
4) So the first idea is: this attack was deliberately planned NOT BY Hamas, but by a greater power, which has no interest in Hamas, but which is willing to see Gaza Stripe retaliation, and so trigger anti-Israeli and anti-US ideas worldwide.
5) I do not know what happens next, but a possible future attack on a US embassy or another US soft target would have impact on the US elections. Just remember the Tripoli case.
6) Effectively, ANY escalation plays into Putin's hands, distracting the West and reducing our chances to develop a solid strategy. Instead of acting strategically, we react tactically. Nothing good in this but good for Kremlin. That is why I think it is Russia behind this attack

Have you missed a scary Friday THREAD about Russia's nasty habits? Here is a one about how Soviet Moscow and later Russian Moscow groomed and enjoyed worst antisemitism, and managed to combine it with anti-ukrainianism, and convince Western leftists, this all is "anti-fascist" /1
First of all, the Soviet Union was a hardcore antisemitic state. They publicly used images of a "spider Jew" which is about to suck blood out of the world, identical to the worst Nazi cartoons. Here: an antisemitic exhibition in Moscow. Note a nose and the David star /2 Image
Where did it come from? Well, the Soviets had no problem of being allies of the Nazis. In 1939, they have invaded Poland together, held joint military operations against the Polish army, and celebrated their joint victory with a military parade. The even celebrated swastika /3

Scholz knows the art of political stalemate perfectly. He blocks delivery of #Taurus missiles because he is not afraid of any pressure from ruling coalition partners. Let me explain it in a short THREAD):
1) Scholz' party SPD is an unpopular party. It has only 17,2% support /1 Image
2) Sounds like Scholz could be forced by his coalition partners into a right direction? No chance! Both coalition partners suffer a lot too. All together SPD, Greens and the Liberals get 38% of votes, far below the needed 50%. Well, how can Greens and Liberals pressure Scholz? /2 Image
3) They coalition leaders have personal popularity, but it does not transform into votes for their parties;
4) The only way to pressure Scholz is to threat him with impeachment. But the German Basic Law (Constitution) is very tricky here. Impeachment is only possible when... /3 Image

THREAD Let's start a long thread about how Russian book market prepared Russians for a full-scale war against Ukraine, NATO, the West, and promoted stalinism and nazism, and how this was ignored by the West. Keep seat belts fasten, you will see a lot of nasty things here. 1/52 Image
One of the first indicators of Russia preparing for a full-scale turn into dictatorship and a global war was the mass production of books praising Stalin and Stalinism and welcoming upcoming war against the West. These books appeared on Russian bookshelves in early 2010s 2/52
The appearance was so massive that it could not be a coincidence on a book market which was under a strict control of secret police FSB. "Be proud, not sorry! Truth about Stalin Age" "Stalinist's Handbook", "Stalin's Repressions: A Great Lie" and "Beria: Best XXCent Manager" 3/52

I wonder why the topic of "Ukrainian collaboration with Nazis" is so popular in the West, and no one mentions way more active and broad collaboration of Russians with Nazis (I don't speak here about Stalin-Hitler pact). THREAD: /1
Dozens of thousands of Russians used to fight for Hinter as SS or Wehrmacht soldiers. Most know formations were: 1) Russian Liberating Army (ROA), up to 130,000 soldiers in 1945, under command of General Vlasov, a former Soviet Lieutenant General, decorated with Lenin Order. /2 Image
ROA used the "St.Andrew Flag" as their ensign, now used by Russian navy, but also the "tricolour", currently a state flag of Russia /3

Russians love to combine guns and ballet. Here are some examples:

Putin made an antisemitic attack on @ZelenskyyUa. Let me explain in this THREAD, why is not an accident, but a sign of Russia's state antisemitism. Putin: "The Western masters placed an ethnic Jew, a person with Jewish roots, at the head of Ukraine": /1
First, it is a classic antisemitic rhetoric on "puppeteers", "Jews". Second: this Putin's interview was not spontaneous. The journalist from RIA Novosti, a part of state-owned propaganda RT holding, clearly knew what to ask. Putin came WITH the intention to make this statement /2
It is not the first case when Putin attacks Zelensky's Jewish heritage. In June 2023, Putin said, Zelensky "is a shame of the Jewish nation" and "not a Jew at all" (whatever it should mean) /3 dw.com/ru/putin-snova…
