Since everyone is trying to use the Salah Al Deen Gaza Wadi bridge explosion tweet to cudgel each other with things I did not say, even using it to deny another strike 5 miles away, I am going to remake the entire thread here, super fucking clearly.

Here is the explosion.
Note when the explosion happens, there is a significant fireball. This is highly inconsistent with conventional explosives delivered by air.

This is far more consistent with a gas canister explosion. Image
Now watch closer. You can see an exploding gas canister rocket out of the left side of the vehicle.
There are three options here-

1. Hamas may have just hit an evacuation route from northern Gaza with a VBIED, framing it as an Israeli air strike. This would be in line with previous actions and intentions.
2. Israeli air strike. Possible, but more unlikely, the explosion was primarily from gas canister(s) in the vehicle.

3. Random accident. Also a possibility, but it does take a bit of work to make an explosion that big without doing something very wrong.
The original thread for posterity.

Now please behave like humans.

Additionally, no incoming projectile can be seen in the 30FPS footage, nor heard in the audio.

Incoming bombs, rockets, and artillery all have unique sound profiles, as seen from the thousands of videos from Ukraine.

On Saturday morning, a Gazan civilian started a Facebook livestream on the border with Israel.

This livestream went uninterrupted for over 30 minutes and allows us an unprecedented view into the initial Hamas assault, and atrocities, around Nir Oz. (thread)

Content warning Image
One note, the Facebook livestream remained up for at least 7 hours, garnering thousands of reactions.

I have mapped out the entire route taken by the streamer (red line), geolocating over 40 unique points, with major events highlighted. Image
The stream starts with a burning IDF Merkava Mk.4, destroyed at the border fence.

A number of civilians and Hamas terrorists are milling around. The stream does not show it, but later a group of both armed and unarmed Gazans pull a deceased crewmember out and beat the body. Image

I’m definitely getting emotionally worn out right now.

One of the side effects of modern information sharing is the access to content.

I’ve probably geolocated 20+ individual atrocities committed by Hamas in Israel, incredibly personal acts committed by the perpetrators.
I’ve seen even more photos and videos.

I know a lot of things are getting shared around in an uncensored context, especially on Twitter.

Here’s a good article from Bellingcat on the subject, one that I recommend everyone reads.

A few selected portions-

“Many of these images can be highly distressing, especially if viewed repeatedly and intensely. But their effect can also be cumulative: you may feel alright for a long time until one day, you don’t.”

Mapping and timing the atrocities at the Nova Festival near Rei’m on Saturday morning (long thread).

Working with new drone footage, multiple sets of satellite imagery, and videos, it was possible to assemble a small idea of what happened in a small area.

Note- content warning
Baseline imagery with notation here. The Festival was held 1.3 km from Re'im and 5.2 km from the Gaza border.

Imagery here is 0.5m Pleades from yesterday, 10/8. Excuse the large cloud, this is actually a composite of multiple cloudy images.

First footage seen is early in the morning on the 7th. Sunrise was around 6:40 AM local.

This shot was taken right in front of the central pavilion, people are confused and unsure of where to go while security works to evacuate people east.

Some of the images coming out of Sderot over the last few hours are reaching degrees of horror that I dont really think I can use words to properly describe. Truly disturbing acts of terror directed at civilians.
Not going to post images, but at least 7 civilians were gunned down at a bus stop outside of the public library in Sderot.
