1/ More details have emerged of events relating to a recent disastrous offensive in which 300 Russians are said to have died. Survivors say their commander called them "a piece of meat" and told them that he "wished them to die quickly" when he ordered a fresh assault. ⬇️ Image
2/ The failed attacks near Kupiansk between 7-17 October left literally hundreds of bodies lying on the ground as Ukrainian defenders mowed down successive 'meat assaults', whch included not only Storm Z convict units but members of elite tank regiments being used as infantry.
3/ Relatives of men from the 12th Guards Tank Regiment wrote in a complaint that "their command in the person of Lieutenant Colonel [Sergei] Chizkov (who was in a drunken state) sent them to carry out the combat mission, carrying only automatic rifles, without support." Image
4/ The men say that they lacked ammunition, food and water and there was no organised evacuation of the wounded. Chizkov had previously been the subject of complaints, but when an army inspection was carried out, he sent the men into the forest to hide them from the inspectors.
5/ According to the men, he also "did not allow them to say" that they were mobilised, called his subordinates "a piece of meat” and stated that "others will come in their place."
6/ When the assault started, it went disastrously wrong from the start. One of the men says:
7/ "The drunken company commander did not explain to whom and where, he sent the stormtroopers to another treeline, and when he realized that he had fucked up, he walked across the field, ordering us to go.
8/ "We walked on, knowing that our boys were there, but it turns out that 20 soldiers were on their way to the slaughter, because their company commander decided to save his job.
9/ "When they started knocking us down, we didn’t know where to shoot, we were afraid to hit our own people, but it turned out that our people weren’t there.
10/ "One of our wounded said that when they were sent to the treeline, they reported that we are being mowed down solidly, and there was drunken laughter on the radio, they're probably walking around glassy-eyed."
11/ When he ordered them into a second assault, the men say, Chizkov "wished them to die quickly.” As a result, 20 of them refused to carry out his order and were sent to the notorious "Concentration Rehabilitation Centre" in Zaitseve to be 'remotivated.' /end

1/ Soldiers from Russia's 1st Guards Tank Regiment were reportedly tricked into joining a Storm Z assault detachment. After suffering 80% losses near Kupiansk under the orders of a "drunken commander", they are said to be imprisoned with dozens of others under threat of death. ⬇️ Image
2/ ASTRA reports that according to the men's relatives, they are serving with the 3rd tank battalion of the 1st Guards Tank Regiment. They were sent to Tyshkivka in the Luhansk region on 1 September with instructions to construct dugouts there. Image
3/ However, they found that instead of working on fortifications, they were instead put to work training in assault detachments. They took part in 10 days of assaults against Ukrainian positions near Kupiansk between 7–17 October. Image

1/ Iran is reportedly providing Russia with anti-drone radars, in addition to the kamikaze drones it has already been providing. Ironically, the radars are said to have been designed for Iran by a Russian engineer after Russia had declined to develop them itself. ⬇️ Image
2/ According to the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel, "Iran is currently supplying Russia with its radar systems for detecting and combating low-observable flying vehicles – UAVs."
3/ "It turned out that the Russian military-industrial complex and the armed forces do not produce and do not possess the required number of systems that could successfully counter low-observable targets."

3/ The second video is introduced by Alexander Vladimirovich Lokshin from the Leningrad region, call sign 'Little Man'. He was recruited from a prison colony where he was serving an eight-year sentence before signing a military contract on 20 February. Image

1/ Two videos have been published from Russian former convicts who signed contracts to fight in Ukraine as part of a 'Storm Z' assault unit. They provide an insight into the units which have been used by the Russians to carry out so-called 'meat assaults'. ⬇️

2/ The men were selected for a special detachment, known as the 'blacks' for their all-black outfits worn for night missions. They were entirely wiped out within only six weeks of the contracts being signed. Their story is told in the thread below:
3/ On 7 April 2023, shortly before the men were sent into the 'meat grinder' near Svatove in eastern Ukraine, several of them recorded videos giving their accounts as an apparent testimony to their relatives in case they were killed. They were subsequently listed as missing.

1/ Russian convicts fighting in Ukraine are becoming 'ghost soldiers' when they die. Their relatives lack any documentation that they ever signed contracts and are being denied compensation for their deaths, and their bodies are not being returned for burial. ⬇️ Image
2/ The 'ghost soldier' phenomenon has been noted before, with recruited convicts reporting that they were serving in secret without pay, documentation, or dog tags to identify bodies.
3/ This situation arose after the Russian Ministry of Defence began recruiting from Russia's prison colonies, after the Wagner Group was banned from doing so in January 2023. Convicts were recruited into 'Storm Z' units to carry out so-called "meat assaults".
