This is what genocide looks like. These are the 2913 Palestinian children killed by the Israeli military this month, as of Thursday, October 26. As the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza intensify, we recognize with horror and grief that this death toll is already inaccurate.

We demand a ceasefire now to save lives. To stop a genocide. The Israeli military has already erased 47 Palestinian families from Gaza’s population registry; all members of the family, from all generations, are dead. These are their children. This is loss beyond measure.

The U.S. is also responsible for the horror in Gaza. 80% of the bombs that the Israeli military drops on Gaza, that are used to kill these children, are American-made. We are called on to do everything we can to stop this genocide.

Today marks 78 years since the massacre of Deir Yassin, an atrocity that came to define the Nakba, the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948 to establish the state of Israel on stolen Palestinian land. Image
During the Deir Yassin massacre, Jewish militias that would soon become the Israeli military rounded up men, women, and children before executing them. The militias blew up homes with families inside and killed at least 110 villagers.
By the end of the massacre, the militias had killed or forced out the town’s entire population.

Yesterday, Jewish supremacist settlers lit fire to at least one home in Al Halaweh, Masafer Yatta. Settlers have killed at least eight Palestinians in the time since the US and Israel began war on Iran, marking a sharp escalation in what was an already unrestrained genocidal violence.

32 years ago today, Baruch Goldstein, a Jewish supremacist settler, stormed into the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron during Friday prayers and killed 29 Palestinians, injuring over 150 more. Image
Goldstein belonged to a lineage of Israeli settlers that trace their beliefs to Meir Kahane, the founder of the Jewish Defense League, which is a violent, fascist group that promotes Jewish supremacy and has killed dozens of people in the US and Israel.
He carried out his attacks in the name of Judaism, but Jewish traditions teach us that all life is sacred. Goldstein’s horrific actions don’t reflect Judaism at all, but rather reflect racism and supremacy.

Just this week, the Israeli military opened a dam in the Wadi Gaza channel, causing water levels to rise even further.
