So then Both UPSC papers done for the day

The Golden Question 🔥

Expected Cut-off?

I will share my prediction based on a logical analysis of both the papers and their difficulties.

Here's the logic 🧵Image
First Difficulty of the Paper 😵‍💫

I think it was comparatively difficult than last few years

Those who are saying it was easy probably are non serious candidates or who haven't prepared it well.

A lot of factual questions

But deep logical concepts were tested too

✅ ~35 Qs were current-linked (but few factual traps)
✅ G-E-E-P subjects (Geo, Env, Eco, Polity) = 56 Qs
✅ 18–22 Qs were difficult (SciTech, Static Culture)
✅ Moderate negative marking risk
✅ Elimination technique helped in ~30 Qs
📉 Unlike 2023, there were fewer ambiguous Qs – but a wider breadth of topics.
👉 Paper rewarded breadth & clarity, not rote.Image
Subject-wise predictability (based on trends & predictions):
🌍 Geography – 7/10 Qs predictable
🌿 Environment – 6/16 Qs hit
📉 Economy – 8/16 (budget, fiscal Qs direct!)
📜 Polity – 6/14
🔬 Sci-Tech – 6/15
📚 History – 5/14
🎯 27 Qs matched our GEEP predictions
🧮 40+ Qs fully aligned with pre-May predictionsImage

Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) Introduced in India

But, is it for Better or Worse?

Let's Find Out

A Thread 🧵Image
India’s new Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) is a big change for the better in how people save for retirement. It’s like putting all the different pension plans into one big pot to make things easier and more secure for everyone who works. Image
Here’s what the UPS is all about:

- Assured Pension: If you’ve worked for at least 25 years, you’ll get half of your average salary from the last year as a pension. If you’ve worked less, you’ll still get a part of it.

- Family Pension: If something happens to you, your family will get 60% of your pension to help them out.

- Minimum Pension: Everyone will get at least ₹10,000 every month after retiring if they’ve worked for 10 years or more.

- Inflation Protection: Your pension will go up a bit each year to keep up with the cost of living.

- Extra Lump-Sum: When you retire, you’ll get a one-time payment along with your pension, which is a bit of your salary for every six months you’ve worked.Image
