@rothschildmd Something to ask Johnson (that would make a LOT of people go "WTF" but there's a *specific* reason):
Ask him who Cain's daddy was.
Yes, I am being Perfectly Serious, and yes, there is a Teachable Moment Reason why if we're going Bible Quiz with Speaker Johnson to ask this
1/x
@rothschildmd You see:
If Johnson says "Adam", ok, so just run of the mill Christian Nationalist.
But somehow my Spidey Sense, honed over living and spending far too much of my life with New Apostolic Reformation Christian Nationalist relatives, thinks that's not how he'd answer
2/x
@rothschildmd There are two other ways he could answer, neither of which are good.
He could actively attempt to avoid the question, which is in and of itself a tell he holds a particular belief about Cain's parentage which he also knows is Not Something He Should Mention Publicly
3/x
@rothschildmd And the other possibility (which, well, oh gods, if he does, this is going to be a Hell of a Teachable Moment for the press) is...he goes with the answer that is a distinctive of the New Apostolic Reformation and Christian Identity and other Lanhamist-derived groups...
4/x
@rothschildmd which, well...the Lanhamist account of the Temptation of Eve basically has Cain as *Satan's literal bastard child*, and claims that after Eve had her apple break she *literally had sex with the Serpent* and somehow got PREGNANT and had Cain nine months later.
5/x
@rothschildmd This particular, uh, *distinctive* heterodoxy (known popularly as "Serpent Seed" theology)...well, in its original version, and in its Christian Identity version, it is *INCREDIBLY* anti-Semitic
The NAR version tones it down to "spiritual" sons of God/Satan, but still
6/x
@rothschildmd And yes, if Johnson does in fact indicate by his answer that he thinks Cain is the result of Eve yiffing the Serpent per Lanham's Furry Erotica Bible Fanfiction, that's when you might follow up with "...and who would Adam's father be, then?"
7/x
@rothschildmd (Yes, there's a specific reason I ask THAT, too. Pretty much all the Lanham-derived groups, including CI and the NAR, have a belief that Adam was...God's second son (after Christ), and thus all the Elect are "manifest sons of God" (this was actually the FIRST NAR branding)
8/x
@rothschildmd And honestly if he gives any answer other than "Well, Adam didn't HAVE a father, God created him", well...congratulations, you found a member of a New Apostolic Reformation Christian Nationalist "cuckoo church" that's hijacked a Southern Baptist congregation from within!
9/x
@rothschildmd (In this case, I should note "cuckoo" in the sense of "an actual brood parasite; one which lays their "eggs" in non-traditionally-Pentecostal churches, usually via lay ministry groups and "charismatic" worship services, and then takes over the church nest".)
10/x
@rothschildmd (And yes, I have to note this, as this IS the religious movement that gave us about 85% or more of the core lore for QAnonsense, and quite a lot of NAR churches have latched on to QAnonsense as external confirmation of their Conspiracy Theology.
I wish I was kidding.)
11/x
@rothschildmd And, well...ask that question, or those two, and if ol' Rep. Johnson answers like I think he will, after the reporters have picked their jaws up off the floor by hearing a sitting member of Congress spew out more guanopsychosis than the Carlsbad Caverns on a summer night...
12/x
@rothschildmd Well, that's when we have the Teachable Moment of explaining about the NAR, and Christian Nationalism, and that they're the sister movement of a literal KKK/neo-Nazi denomination and YES that's the madness your Speaker just shat out
(You are welcome to share my writings)

So I'm. Pleasantly surprised people are calling this out for the anti-Semitism that it is, but it also ultimately derives from the "hidden anti-Semitism" that has been part and parcel of Christian Nationalism, and esp. "NAR Lineage" Christian Nationalism, for decades
So. To defuse immediately how some folks already have tried to claim this is Not A Threat, it helps for some context that TFG is not *just* trying to threaten Jewish folks opposed to Christian Nationalism, but plays upon some incredibly anti-Semitic tropes not everyone gets
2/x
And a lot of folks are going to ask "But how can a group like the New Apostolic Reformation lineage of Christian Nationalists, who pretty much fetishize *everything* about Israel...how can they be anti-Semitic?"
I'm gonna get into all of that (and some more, too)
3/x
@C_Stroop @SuzieQT11 @brucewilson @RightWingWatch @FredClarkson and literally claiming the whole collapse of the CIS, the whole "Berlin Wall coming down", was *entirely faked* and that The Antichrist was going to be Russian because *points to Map of Madness a la Scofield Reference Bible*.
Literally until mid-2000s, even
@C_Stroop @SuzieQT11 @brucewilson @RightWingWatch @FredClarkson Pretty much the point that things started swinging the other direction was when you got NAR-lineage Christian Nationalists who were part of *virulently* anti-LGBTQIA groups partnering with Russian expat anti-LGBTQIA hate groups
@C_Stroop @SuzieQT11 @brucewilson @RightWingWatch @FredClarkson And you literally got a network going where they were doing hate crimes, and promoting hate crimes, and even frank Holocaust denial in the name of anti-LGBTQIA hate crimes, in 2007
Let's talk about *actual* child trafficking, and the fact that the largest Christian Nationalist "homeschooling" lobby in the US actually encourages homeschooling to hide child abuse and even coaches guardians on *how to groom kids* to get out of investigations
2/x
Let's talk about how that SAME Christian Nationalist "homeschooling" lobby is literally the reason that the US is the sole non-signatory to an international treaty that in part *GIVES TOOLS TO STOP CHILD TRAFFICKING* in areas with weak or no child welfare laws
3/x
When I mention that Christian Nationalist curricula (which are, almost to a *one*, written by folks linked to historic "segregation academies" or neo-Confederates or both) actively engage in historical denial of the horrors of chattel slavery, this is what I mean
@awkwardlefty_cj And yes, there is a very specific historic reason I use *THAT* comparison.
Here's a little history I wrote on Christian Nationalism and its involvement in "segregation academies"; as it turns out, this includes "Christian homeschooling"
@awkwardlefty_cj So. tl;dr that previous thread, when desegregation happened, the first "voucher programs" came about as school systems were closed and state funding went to "segregation academies" run by historically pro-slavery churches that have gone Christian Nationalist over time
2/x
As today is Juneteenth, and there are going to be an uncomfy number of chuds who are going to engage in *massive* pro-Confederacy historical denial to try very hard to deny the actual cause of the Civil War, I think it's time for a teach-in
A thread:
1/x
And in this case, I'm going to post the actual reasons that the South seceded, from the words of the secessionists themselves, in their own secession documents
Note: Contrary to what you may have learned in Southern revisionist curricula, it wasn't "state's rights"
2/x
From the secession document of the 1st of the traitor states, South Carolina, starting at around the 2nd page, explicitly listed not only hostility towards chattel slavery by the North but resistance to the Fugitive Slave Acts as a reason battlefields.org/learn/primary-…
3/x
It should be noted that "Blacks for Trump" group has...rather the interesting (and "chequered to the point a harlequin troupe would point out that's Way Too Much") history
They have a history of being even cultier cultists than the usual MAGAt, as I'll note below
So as is...all too common for my posts :D, this does require some backstory, and some discussion of a particular coercive religious movement targeting African-Americans deeply linked with white "sovereign citizen" groups (yes, seriously)
Buckle in, we're going for a ride
2/x
So. There's always been a branch of the sovcit movement that's pushed their particular brand of Genuine Frontier Nonsense on (usually highly coercive) religious grounds, usually wanting to create their own (very, very white, and Christian Nationalist) theocracy
