The Biden-Harris Administration condemns, in the strongest terms, the alarming rise in antisemitic incidents at schools and on college campuses.
There is no place for hate in America. Here are some of the steps the Administration is taking to address this alarming rise.
The Department of Education is making it easier for students who experience Antisemitism, Islamophobia, or related discrimination to file a complaint under Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice have taken steps to ensure campus law enforcement is included in engagements with state and local law enforcement, and have reached out directly to support campuses.
This week, @SecondGentleman, @SecCardona, and Administration officials met with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations to discuss actions the Administration is taking to counter the alarming uptick in reported instances of Antisemitism on campuses.
Secretary Cardona and Domestic Policy Advisor Neera Tanden also held a roundtable with Jewish students at Towson University to discuss the threat of Antisemitism on campuses, and what the Administration is doing to counter it.
When Jews are targeted because of their beliefs or their identity, when Israel is singled out because of anti-Jewish hatred, that is Antisemitism, and this is unacceptable.
In the coming days and weeks, the Administration will continue to work to combat Antisemitism and all hate-fueled violence on schools and college campuses.

We’re less than two weeks away from the end of the fiscal year and extreme House Republicans are marching our country toward a government shutdown.
Here’s what you to need to know:
Just a few months ago, President Biden and Congressional leaders reached a bipartisan budget agreement.
Now, extreme House Republicans are ignoring this deal and demanding devastating cuts to critical programs as a condition of keeping the government open.
The cuts extreme House Republicans are calling for would:
- Eliminate tens of thousands of Head Start slots
- Slash education funding for low-income students
- Cut funding for law enforcement
- Raise housing costs
Hi everyone, it's @SecCardona here reporting from the Back to School Bus Tour! 👋
I'm taking over the White House account today so you can join me for a day in the life on our #EDBusTour23 and learn about how we’re investing in America’s students, teachers, and communities. 🚌
Before we get started, a little bit about me:
I have two decades of experience as a public-school educator, and my favorite place to be is in the classroom.
As a parent and an educator, I am dedicated to putting our kids first.
First stop: John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN – where we're talking to students about the importance of mental health.
Mental health matters, that’s why this Administration has invested $2 billion in student mental health and school safety.
