💮2. Kailash is considered to be the Axis Mundi, literally the ‘Axis’ of the world that provides a connection between the earth and heaven, between the physical world and the spiritual worlds, the celestial centre of the world where heaven meets earth.

Viewing from the south of the ridge,you can see the OM(ॐ)symbol on the Kailash Parbat.The huge ice trough & horizontal rock formations from the top of mountain constitute this symbol. You may get to see the shadows form the symbol of OM on the mountain when the sunsets every day.
