It's great that ChatGPT Plus can now use GPT-4, web search, and Dall-E 3 in the same conversation.

But you can do the same thing without paying $20/month.

I'll show you how to do it for free and without limitation: Image
1. Go to Bing Chat

Start by navigating to bing .com/chat.

I advise you to use the Edge browser to avoid limitations.

Select the "Creative" mode which uses the full power of GPT-4.
2. Search on the web

Enter your prompt by giving the AI the URL of a web page or something to search for on the internet.

Prompt (e.g.):

"Research the latest announcements from OpenAI and make a summary in 5 short bullet points with the most important ones."

Bing crawls the web and responds to you with GPT-4.

You can also check the sources used.

But that's just the beginning!
3. Dall-E 3 in the same conversation

You can now generate an image related to a previous answer.

Prompt (e.g.):

"Create an image to illustrate the last bullet point that I could put in the introduction of my blog post."

Bing will understand the context and your purpose and create a tailor-made image with Dall-E 3.

All you have to do is download it!
Bonus: "GPT-4 Vision"

You can also upload an image and analyze it with GPT-4 for free.

Just click on the icon at the bottom left and upload your image.

Type your prompt (e.g.): "Who currently occupies this building and where is it located?"

Tip:

It also works perfectly for diagrams or drawings in addition to photos.
It's a good alternative for those who don't yet have access to the ChatGPT update (like me).

It's crazy how slow and inaccurate ChatGPT's internet search is.

Don't use it for academic purposes, this free AI tool is much better.

Here's a simple tutorial on how to access and use this tool: Image
1. Go to Perplexity and select the right focus

We're going to use Perplexity.

It’s the fastest and most reliable AI tool for all web searches (non-sponsored).

- Go to pplx .ai
- Create an account if you want to keep your conversations.

Then click on the ‘Focus’ button and then on ‘Academic’.

Perplexity will focus its research on academic papers.
2. Enter your prompt

Just write your prompt and Perplexity will take care of answering your question.

It will also find the best academic references related to your subject.

Example:

“What is the impact of frequent texting on teen literacy rates?”

You'll be impressed by how fast it responds (the video is at real speed).

Questions related to your prompt will appear at the bottom.

Click on one and Perplexity will automatically reply to it to dig deeper into your topic.

ChatGPT is the best partner for data processing with its latest update.

You can search for data on the web, exploit it with the Code Interpreter and export it in Excel format easily.

Here's how to do it with ChatGPT's new features: Image
1. Search for data

Start by finding the latest data available with ChatGPT's built-in web search.

Here's a prompt template you can use:

"Can you give me the 7 most popular and profitable niches and sectors for digital solopreneurs, such as e-commerce, coaching, consulting, content creation, etc. in the US?

Most importantly: give the dollar value of each market.

Write very short bullet points for each niche and use internet research to find this data."

Limiting the search by number and location is recommended to avoid off-topic data.

Also, make sure to give it a specific goal. This is the market value.

Important:

Don't forget to check the source of the data by clicking on the blue icons given by ChatGPT.
2. Process data

Code Interpreter is the best tool for analyzing and manipulating data.

For the example, we'll create a chart from the previous web search.

But we're also going to ask ChatGPT to interpret the data and write a conclusion with GPT-4 Turbo.

Prompt (e.g):

"Use the code interpreter to create a bar chart with each niche and its value.

Then write a short conclusion with recommendations for solopreneurs."

ChatGPT automatically understands the context as we are in the same conversation.

You can already download it as an image to put it in a presentation for example.

I've tested dozens of different AI tools over the last few months.

And to be honest I only use 5 of them every day, no more.

So here are the ones I use and what I use them for: Image
1. Claude (free)

Claude is currently the best for writing creative texts.

I use it to write drafts of important e-mails or newsletters:
2. Bing Chat (free)

The AI tool I use the most because it's the most versatile.

I use it for internet searches, image generation and text generation:

I don't understand why many people don't use this free AI Copilot from Microsoft.

You can use GPT-4 for free, generate images, and more.

I'll show you how to use and access it: Image
1. Access Copilot in Edge

You can use it for free on laptop and mobile:

- Windows → open Edge, which is installed by default
- macOS → install Microsoft Edge available for ARM and Intel
- Android → install Microsoft Edge from Google Play
- iOS → install Microsoft Edge from the App Store

Then open Copilot by clicking on the icon at top right on laptop and bottom center on mobile.

You can even select the most suitable mode.

Let's take a look at a few use cases ↓
2. Use GPT-4 for free

Edge Copilot is based on Bing Chat.

You can use GPT-4 for free by selecting the "Creative" mode.

Then enter your prompt and Copilot will mix data from the Internet and GPT-4 to answer you.

Tip:

You can ask Copilot to perform a specific search before replying.

Example:

"Search the internet for the latest announcements made by OpenAI and summarize them in short, easy-to-understand bullet points".

Paint has just received new AI features.

Dall-E 3 is integrated directly and free of charge.

Here's how to get the most out of these new features: Image
1. Remove background from an image

A new AI button in the top left-hand corner lets you remove the background from any image.

- Import your image into Paint (File → Import to canvas → From a file)

- Click on the Remove background button at top left

- Paint takes care of clipping your image

Tip: create a new transparent layer by clicking on Layers in the top right-hand corner before importing your image.

This will allow you to move and modify your image without affecting the rest of your design.
2. Generating a background with Dall-E 3

Click on "Cocreator" in the top right-hand corner to generate an image with Dall-E 3 in Paint.

Then enter your prompt to create your background:

E.g.: "a jungle trail with sunlight streaming through the trees".

Next, select the image style you wish to generate.

You can choose between:

None, Watercolor, Photorealistic, Charcoal, Oil Painting, Anime, Digital Art, Ink Sketch and Pixel Art.

By selecting No Selection, Cocreator will use the style described in your prompt.

Dall-E 3 now allows you to copy the style of an image.

You can generate an unlimited number of images in the same style.

Here's how to do it directly in ChatGPT with a new parameter: Image
1. Generate the first image

Start by generating an image from which you want to copy the style.

This works even better if you specify a specific image style.

Prompt (e.g.): Create a cartoon portrait of a man fishing

In this example, the style is cartoon. But you can use any style you like.

Examples of styles: cartoon, painting, pencil drawing, realistic photography, collage, pixel art, ...
2. Obtain the gen_id

Dall-E 3 now assigns a gen_id to each image.

This parameter is used to copy the style of an image and generate others that look similar.

To obtain it, use the following prompt:

Prompt: "Please give me the gen_ids"

ChatGPT will give you the gen_ids of all the images you've generated.

Copy the gen_id of the image you want to reproduce, in my case: UBz2F4d0oLA5bkrL

Note: for the moment, each gen_id is attached to a conversation. You can't use it in another conversation.
