Bing Chat AI now has access to plugins in addition to being able to use GPT-4 for free.

You can even disable web search to use it as ChatGPT.

I'll show you how to access and use the plugins:
1. Accessing plugins

Go to bing .com/chat

A new "Plugins" tab is available next to your conversation history.

Note:
This is currently being rolled out, but you may be able to access it later.

By clicking on it, you can scroll down to see all available plugins.

You can activate up to 3 at a time.

There are 6 at the moment:

- Instacart: get ingredients delivered to your store
- Kayak: plan a trip
- Klarna: compare prices online
- OpenTable: restaurant recommendations and reservations
- Shop: search for products
- Search: give the web access to Bing Chat

More to come (see below).
2. Use a plugin

Check the plugin(s) (up to 3) you're interested in.

Bing Chat will then be able to use it according to the prompt you write (like ChatGPT).

Example with the Klarna price comparison plugin:

Prompt → "Where to buy the cheapest white Nike Air Force?"

The plugin will give you websites to order from and the sizes available.
3. Enable / disable search

Until now, you couldn't use Bing Chat without web search.

Now you can disable it when it's not needed.

One advantage is that it makes Bing Chat faster at answering your questions.

Caution:

1. Dall-E 3 does not work when web search is disabled.

2. The recency of Bing Chat knowledge is limited to the GPT-4 one.
4. Future plugins

In May, Microsoft announced the arrival of plugins for Bing Chat.

Several others are already available in beta (Canary).

Canva, Adobe Express, Calendly or Wolfram could be added soon!

Here's the image that was published at the time of the announcement ↓ Image
Bing Chat now has many of the features of ChatGPT Plus :

- Web search
- Vision
- Voice
- Plugins
- GPT-4

It becomes even more interesting to use!

Censorship is one of ChatGPT's weak points.

It refuses to answer certain questions.

And it's not always about sensitive topics.

I'll show you how to use free and open-source alternatives: Image
GPT-4 is currently the most powerful AI model.

But it refuses to perform certain tasks because they are "against OpenAI's guidelines."

It is therefore necessary to use AI models (LLMs) that don’t have these limitations.

Grok may be a practical solution.

But here are two options you can use for free:
Option 1: Perplexity Labs

This tool allows you to use multiple LLMs directly in your browser.

(Like ChatGPT but without an account).

Go to labs .perplexity .ai and select an AI model.

PPLX-7B and PPLX-70B models perform well and don’t impose moral judgment or limitations.

You can also use mistral-7b which is another popular open-source model.

It's crazy how slow and inaccurate ChatGPT's internet search is.

Don't use it for academic purposes, this free AI tool is much better.

Here's a simple tutorial on how to access and use this tool: Image
1. Go to Perplexity and select the right focus

We're going to use Perplexity.

It’s the fastest and most reliable AI tool for all web searches (non-sponsored).

- Go to pplx .ai
- Create an account if you want to keep your conversations.

Then click on the ‘Focus’ button and then on ‘Academic’.

Perplexity will focus its research on academic papers.
2. Enter your prompt

Just write your prompt and Perplexity will take care of answering your question.

It will also find the best academic references related to your subject.

Example:

“What is the impact of frequent texting on teen literacy rates?”

You'll be impressed by how fast it responds (the video is at real speed).

Questions related to your prompt will appear at the bottom.

Click on one and Perplexity will automatically reply to it to dig deeper into your topic.

ChatGPT is the best partner for data processing with its latest update.

You can search for data on the web, exploit it with the Code Interpreter and export it in Excel format easily.

Here's how to do it with ChatGPT's new features: Image
1. Search for data

Start by finding the latest data available with ChatGPT's built-in web search.

Here's a prompt template you can use:

"Can you give me the 7 most popular and profitable niches and sectors for digital solopreneurs, such as e-commerce, coaching, consulting, content creation, etc. in the US?

Most importantly: give the dollar value of each market.

Write very short bullet points for each niche and use internet research to find this data."

Limiting the search by number and location is recommended to avoid off-topic data.

Also, make sure to give it a specific goal. This is the market value.

Important:

Don't forget to check the source of the data by clicking on the blue icons given by ChatGPT.
2. Process data

Code Interpreter is the best tool for analyzing and manipulating data.

For the example, we'll create a chart from the previous web search.

But we're also going to ask ChatGPT to interpret the data and write a conclusion with GPT-4 Turbo.

Prompt (e.g):

"Use the code interpreter to create a bar chart with each niche and its value.

Then write a short conclusion with recommendations for solopreneurs."

ChatGPT automatically understands the context as we are in the same conversation.

You can already download it as an image to put it in a presentation for example.

It's great that ChatGPT Plus can now use GPT-4, web search, and Dall-E 3 in the same conversation.

But you can do the same thing without paying $20/month.

I'll show you how to do it for free and without limitation: Image
1. Go to Bing Chat

Start by navigating to bing .com/chat.

I advise you to use the Edge browser to avoid limitations.

Select the "Creative" mode which uses the full power of GPT-4.
2. Search on the web

Enter your prompt by giving the AI the URL of a web page or something to search for on the internet.

Prompt (e.g.):

"Research the latest announcements from OpenAI and make a summary in 5 short bullet points with the most important ones."

Bing crawls the web and responds to you with GPT-4.

You can also check the sources used.

But that's just the beginning!

I've tested dozens of different AI tools over the last few months.

And to be honest I only use 5 of them every day, no more.

So here are the ones I use and what I use them for: Image
1. Claude (free)

Claude is currently the best for writing creative texts.

I use it to write drafts of important e-mails or newsletters:
2. Bing Chat (free)

The AI tool I use the most because it's the most versatile.

I use it for internet searches, image generation and text generation:

I don't understand why many people don't use this free AI Copilot from Microsoft.

You can use GPT-4 for free, generate images, and more.

I'll show you how to use and access it: Image
1. Access Copilot in Edge

You can use it for free on laptop and mobile:

- Windows → open Edge, which is installed by default
- macOS → install Microsoft Edge available for ARM and Intel
- Android → install Microsoft Edge from Google Play
- iOS → install Microsoft Edge from the App Store

Then open Copilot by clicking on the icon at top right on laptop and bottom center on mobile.

You can even select the most suitable mode.

Let's take a look at a few use cases ↓
2. Use GPT-4 for free

Edge Copilot is based on Bing Chat.

You can use GPT-4 for free by selecting the "Creative" mode.

Then enter your prompt and Copilot will mix data from the Internet and GPT-4 to answer you.

Tip:

You can ask Copilot to perform a specific search before replying.

Example:

"Search the internet for the latest announcements made by OpenAI and summarize them in short, easy-to-understand bullet points".
