We recently learned 34% more working Americans ages 35-44 died than expected in the last quarter of 2022, & the CDC recently announced they will no longer be reporting Covid-related excess deaths. nbcnews.com/health/health-…
NBC: Covid will be a leading cause of death in the U.S. indefinitely, whether or not the pandemic is 'over' Disease experts predict that Covid will remain among the top 10 causes of death in the U.S. for the foreseeable future.
The only article this data has appeared in was written by a Professional Minimizer, & it was EXTREMELY disingenuous, claiming “it’s not Covid.” (Thread)
Western citizens are dying prematurely, en masse, while our countries gaslight us and pretend we can’t possibly know why it is happening.
Here’s a link to the ACTUAL DATA, straight from the actuaries.
The last quarter of 2021:

“The 40% rise in death rates is consistent for working-class folks 18 to 64-years-old. ‘Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three-sigma or 200-year catastrophe would be a 10% increase over pre-pandemic levels.’” dailykos.com/stories/2022/1…
Daily Kos January 5, 2022 “Death rates up 40% setting new 200 year high life insurance company CEO says” by Walter Einekel
To be clear, actuaries acknowledged the DRAMATIC excess deaths increases were directly related to Covid in 2021, but then we systematically got rid of all of our testing & Covid infrastructure, & we quit reporting data, so now we get to pretend all the death is very mysterious.
In 2021, the 40% increase in excess deaths was significant because a three sigma, 200 year catastrophe would be a 10% increase.

We are currently sitting at a 34% increase talking about “We’re in a better place, we’ll be here indefinitely.”

Excuse me? WTF? Why?
“Government is pursuing an ideologically driven commitment to force the population to accept a level of mortality & disability in order to release us from our current situation. This has nothing to do with data or experiments. This is ideology from the Libertarian Right.”
As we hear CEOs are “going to war against Work From Home” & excess deaths among working age adults 35-44 were 34% higher than expected, consider all the people who are SURVIVING, now disabled.

As the mass disability & premature death accelerates, the people will be punished.
And when you hear people point to skyrocketing suicides & overdoses, along with mental health complications, asserting this has nothing to do with Covid, show them this thread full of citations.
October 2022: “The spikes in heart attack deaths have tracked with surges of COVID infection—even during Omicron…The data showed the increase was most significant among individuals ages 25-44.”

As the mass reinfections continue, we ignore this too. cedars-sinai.org/newsroom/covid…
Cedars Sinai: “Covid surges linked to spike in heart attacks” October 24, 2022
This was published in November 2022.

In January 2023, the “paradigm shift” to “new, courageous ‘accept exposure’ policies, public education, & behavior change strategies” was introduced.

We have normalized endless reinfections & premature death. reuters.com/business/healt…
Nov 10; 2022 (Reuters) - The risk of death, hospitalization and serious health issues from COVID-19 jumps significantly with reinfection compared with a first bout with the virus, regardless of vaccination status, a study published on Thursday suggests. "Reinfection with COVID-19 increases the risk of both acute outcomes and long COVID," said Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. "This was evident in unvaccinated, vaccinated and boosted people”
Written by the former Medical Director for Global Projects at Exxon Mobil turned VP Covid Collaborative, Stephen Phillips, & he published a Time article calling for a LongCovid paradigm shift two days ago. (Thread)

These people aren’t going to stop.
Thank you, Greg! It’s nice to know someone is still attempting to report them.
“Staggering” is an understatement. That we continue to reinfect kids while child & teen mortality increased over 20%—more than it has in the last 50 years—is a pretty solid sign we intend to continue killing our kids for capitalism.

Published in MARCH: news.vcu.edu/article/2023/0…

VCU.edu: Child and adolescent mortality rates in the United States rose by 20% between 2019 and 2021, the largest increase in at least 50 years, according to an editorial published Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
If everyone walks around repeating “it’s not Covid!” & media/governments scream, “it’s not Covid!” & we all collectively pretend we don’t know anything, maybe folks will quit dying of Covid/post-Covid complications, & we can simply will the virus into submission with our minds.
The US & UK continue to ignore DRAMATIC increases in excess deaths among children, and it’s certainly curious.
Finland has ALSO recorded record excess deaths among children ages 5-9.
At the same time we hear 34% more Americans ages 35-44 died than expected, pediatric mortality increased more than it has in 50 YEARS, & the CDC quit reporting excess Covid deaths, we also hear life expectancy rebounded a full year! 🎉

It’s a class war. theguardian.com/us-news/2023/n…
The Guardian: US life expectancy increases but remains below pre-Covid level CDC researchers say life expectancy has rebounded to 77 years and six months as pandemic wanes but still down on 2019 statistic Associated Press Wed 29 Nov 2023 12.59 GMT Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare via Email
This article was published in 2017. Now think about where we are today.
Get it girls! Premature death gives us a reason to smile. businessinsider.com/us-millennial-…
Business insider: US millennial women are now more likely to die in their late 20s and early 30s than any generation since the World War II era: report Matthew Loh Dec 11, 2023, 10:57 PM ET Three young women pose for a we-fie shot, smiling broadly Millennial women are seeing a reduction in the wage gap and better graduation rates, but a stark rise in premature deaths, the PRB said. LeoPatrizi/Getty Images
In 2021, the US reported a 40% increase in deaths among working age Americans, the highest increase in 200+ years, when a 10% increase is a 3-sigma 200 year catastrophe.

In 2022, 34% more working Americans 35-44 died than expected, & we heard “we’re in a better place.”
People are like “But a lot of those deaths are overdoses & suicides” because they don’t understand Covid causes DRAMATIC mental health complications.

We were told this data could predict spikes in addiction/suicide based on Covid waves, but we chose to pretend instead. 🥴
This is BREATHTAKINGLY bad. Heinous. Shocking. In spite of this horrific data, HICPAC still voted to roll back infection controls in US hospitals, & we got rid of most of our testing & data. Public health doesn’t work for people.
As workers continue to die en masse, the ruling class has been shielded from the worst of it while encouraging us to hit the accelerator for profits/convenience. Folks think they can ignore it all & it won’t affect them. What happens to a house of cards when the bottom collapses?
Let It Rip countries aren’t doing very well.
The younger generations may die out long before we get a chance to lead. As a kid, I often heard “Life doesn’t revolve around you.” Life has revolved around the Boomers for as long as I’ve been alive. Now younger generations are all sick, & we’re dying alongside the older generations. At this rate, it’s unlikely we will ever get our turn. This is a road to nowhere.
In 2021, 40% more working age Americans died than expected, when a 10% increase is a 3 sigma, 200 year catastrophe. In 2022, 34% more Americans 35-44 died & we declared the pandemic over, lost all our funding, & called it a day. We’re dying out, and no one seems to care. 🌈
And OUR BABIES are dying too. We’re losing our parents, our peers, and our kids. We are sandwiched by death, & we’re told we have no choice but to accept it. People are so broke, broken & exhausted, they just accept it & go on. news.vcu.edu/article/2023/0…
VCU: Child and teen mortality in the U.S. experiences largest increase in decades More than 20 years of mortality data revealed that the pediatric death rate rose sharply between 2019 and 2021, offsetting years of progress in medicine and public health.
And friends, the same thing is occurring in all of the Let it Rip countries simultaneously, and populations are being gaslit into submission. We are dying.
No test no case; no case, no Covid deaths; no Covid deaths, no pandemic.

“Information on the number of hospitalizations admissions is being provided by only 29 countries, while only 21 countries are providing data on ICU admissions. Again, these data are so scant because the vast majority of countries completely dismantled their pandemic surveillance systems in response to the WHO’s ending of the PHE last May.” wsws.org/en/articles/20…WSWS: “Just because those countries aren’t reporting deaths doesn’t mean they aren’t happening” WHO officials warn sharply of the ongoing dangers of the COVID-19 pandemic Benjamin Mateus 14 hours ago
Children continue to drop dead en masse in western countries, and yet we never change our behavior.

The US just reported the largest increase in pediatric mortality in at least 50 years & then we doubled down on more of the same failed strategies.
Finland Covid/deaths data is so similar to US data. This is DIRECTLY related to “coexisting” with Covid.
Just thinking about all the articles I’ve read with headlines screaming, “Young Americans are dying en masse, but it’s not Covid!”

The absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absence, but that doesn’t matter when premature death has been normalized.
I wish I was kidding.

“Among working people 35 to 44 years old, a stunning 34% more died than expected in the last quarter of 2022, with above-average rates in other working-age groups, too.” usatoday.com/story/opinion/…
USA Today, More young Americans are dying – and it's not COVID. Why aren't we searching for answers? Without a thorough and collaborative exploration, we can't know what's killing us – or how to stop it. Dr. Pierre Kory and Mary Beth PfeifferOpinion contributors
And this is an international phenomenon among western countries.
The US ignored the largest increase in pediatric mortality in over 50 years. Now infant mortality increased more last year than it has in 2 decades and still we KEEP HITTING THE ACCELERATOR.

We are killing our kids for End Stage Capitalism, full stop.
This narrative is deliberately misleading & it serves very specific purposes: 1) To devalue seniors & normalize mass death 2) To distract from all the young people who are dying of Covid + complications EN MASSE. 3) To create the illusion only certain people are at risk. 34% more working Americans 35-44 died than expected in the last quarter of 2022. Those numbers haven’t really budged, but the CDC did quit reporting excess Covid death estimates.CNN: Thousands of seniors are still dying of Covid-19. Do we not care anymore? By Judith Graham, KFF Health News Updated 8:07 AM EST, Thu February 8, 2024
“…The effects of Covid on mortality are more profound than previously understood.”

Wow! Who knew? 🥴 Many of us have understood this all along. We still won’t change our behavior though. Mass death may actually be the desired result.
At this point, entire generations are on track to be SKIPPED altogether. My generation will never hold power, as our parents’ generations won’t hand over power, & we’re going to die out before we ever get to take over. Our kids will be sick, dying prematurely. Who will take over?
Sometimes I feel like we’re all going to die strictly for the purpose of keeping everyone (especially older folks) comfy, no unpleasant climate/Covid warnings coming from govt or media that may disrupt their hope & joy (& record profits)—keeping the status quo locked in place.
“Convenience and comfort is king, even if it means the death of us all, whether by virus or eco-disaster.”
Our corporate overlords LOVE to pretend people aren’t dying of Covid, but rather suicides/OD/mental health complications.

They NEVER, EVER mention this part, even as blue states prepare to forcibly institutionalize people for addiction & mental health crises.
We are being DENIED the privilege of a shared reality for profit & convenience. We’re deliberately misled & forced to play Pretend Normal STRICTLY for the optics, while the worst folks on the planet make shady moves in the dark. If we don’t fight back, we will die in the process.

We had a good run. Live science: RFK's proposal to let bird flu spread through poultry could set us up for a pandemic, experts warn News By Ben Turner published July 3, 2025 HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins have expressed interest in letting H5N1 outbreaks spread unchecked through U.S. poultry farms. Health experts warn it could lead to a new pandemic.
What a terrible idea.

“Instead of culling birds infected with the highly pathogenic H5N1 virus, farmers should let it spread through flocks.

The idea is that by doing this, farmers can ‘identify the birds, & preserve the birds, that are immune to it.’” livescience.com/health/flu/rfk…Live science: Essentially, the longer you allow a virus that has shown to be effective in infecting multiple hosts survive in an environment, the greater the chance you give it to spread, to mutate, and to try its luck at adaptation," perspective first-author Erin Sorrell, a virologist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told Live Science. "Worse case scenario, the virus adapts and expands its host range to become transmissible in humans … Now we have a pandemic."
I tend to believe human-to-human transmission has been well underway for A WHILE now.

Everyone has expertly memory-holed this. It’s chilling.

This phenomenon highlights exactly why we never make progress: Everyone ignores human rights violations when their preferred “side” is in power. They only begin to show concern when the other side takes over & does it too.
I am SO THANKFUL I kept a history of the pandemic on this app for this very reason. It’s like a time capsule.
Here is the thread I kept on the end of pandemic funding under Biden despite RECORD disease & death.

If you needed to secure antivirals, but your doctors won’t follow the science or acknowledge SARS-CoV-2 is a persistent virus that must be cleared, how would you go about doing that? Are there doctors who do remote visits & take cash? Do we go to China? Dark web? Beg? Plead? Cry?
It has been a full year since the NIH Director admitted SARS-CoV-2 is a live replicating virus that persists.

The below thread on all the areas SARS-CoV-2 persists is my most lengthy thread on this app.
China is using repurposed HIV drugs to clear the virus. Western countries are not.

China’s approach “hinges on a crucial scientific move.

That the mechanisms driving SARS-CoV-2’s persistence and immune evasion are similar to those in HIV.”

The number of Americans who are covertly living in storage units because they cannot afford rent is extremely alarming. There is an entire corner of TikTok reserved for those navigating storage unit living.

In 2024, homelessness in the US increased another 18%+.

It’s strange how all the Professional Minimizers—who absolutely insist new variants do not pose increased risks—NEVER mention the horrifying reinfections data, or all the studies that show SARS-CoV-2 persists almost everywhere & causes long-term damage to immune systems.
Harvard in 2022, before the EXTREME risks associated with reinfections were buried so Pretend Normal could move forward. harvardmagazine.com/2022/12/covid-…Harvard Magazine: The data show a consistent pattern of increased likelihood of hospitalization, cardiovascular effects, clotting and other blood disorders, diabetes, fatigue, gastrointestinal distress, kidney damage, mental health effects such as depression, musculoskeletal damage, neurological deficits, and pulmonary damage with each episode. That risk is connected to baseline health status, including comorbidities such as obesity and other preexisting conditions, and it ...
