1) Johnson: When I ran for Speaker, I promised to make accessible to the American people the 44,000 hours of video from Capitol Hill security taken on January 6, 2021. Truth and transparency are critical.
2) Johnson: Today, we will begin immediately posting video on a public website and move as quickly as possible to add to the website nearly all of the footage, more than 40,000 hours.
3) Johnson: In the meantime, a public viewing room will ensure that every citizen can view every minute of the videos uncensored.
4) Johnson: This decision will provide millions of Americans, criminal defendants, public interest organizations, and the media an ability to see for themselves what happened that day, rather than having to rely upon the interpretation of a small group of government officials.
5) Johnson: I commend Chairman Loudermilk and his team for their diligent work to ensure the thousands of hours of videos are promptly processed to be uploaded to the committee’s public website.
6) Johnson: Processing will involve blurring the faces of private citizens on the yet unreleased tapes to avoid any persons from being targeted for retaliation of any kind and segregating an estimated 5% of the videos that may involve sensitive security information

1) Wasserman Schultz on being prevented from leaving the DNC by pro-Palestinian protesters last night. We were notified that they were blocking access to the building, blocking ingress and egress to the building and that we were not able to leave as a result.
2) Wasserman Schultz: I support people's right to peacefully protest. But unfortunately, these protesters decided to physically block the entrances so that there were people trapped inside the building. And you know that to me, that crosses a line.
3) Wasserman Schultz: But I'm so thankful that the Capitol Police came in and addressed the situation and got us all out and and home safely.
1) From the USCP:
Last night approximately 200 people gathered in front of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters to protest the conflict in the Middle East.
We have handled hundreds of peaceful protests, but last night’s group was not peaceful.
2) USCP: The crowd failed to obey our lawful orders to move back from the DNC, where Members of Congress were in the building.
3) USCP: When the group moved dumpsters in front of the exits, pepper sprayed our officers and attempted to pick up the bike rack, our teams quickly introduced consequences – pulling people off the building, pushing them back..so we could safely evacuate the Members and staff.
1) Mullin on Fox Business on challenging Teamsters head Sean O’Brien to a fight during a cmte hrng: He's a thug and he's been coming after me ever since Him and I had an exchange back in back in the summer.
2) Mullin: He has been in multiple run-ins with the police. And 2017, President Hoffa of the Teamsters at that point had to remove him from negotiations for his behavior. And then 2022, the guy came out and said he wanted to bring the mob mentality back to the Teamsters.
3) Mullin: Well, if you're going to bring that back, I guess you got to have this tough guy act. And that's what he thought he was going to do with me. The problem is, is that's not how we behave in Oklahoma. L
1) Fox has learned there has been outreach across the aisle between the House Republican and Democratic leadership brass to see how many votes each side can provide to adopt a two-step interim spending bill offered by Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA).
2) The bill would avert a government shutdown early Saturday morning.
Fox is told that the “rule” – which the House must first adopt to put the underlying stopgap spending plan on the floor is in serious trouble.
3) If the House can’t approve the rule, it can’t even begin debate, let alone pass, the bill itself.

1) Dem NY Rep Goldman on Special Counsel David Weiss appearance before Hse Judiciary Cmte today: Special Counsel Weiss made it clear that he is here only to discuss his authority over this matter.
2) Goldman: He has not and will not discuss any aspects of the investigation. You will hear very misleading reports from the Republicans based on their questioning, which either just fundamentally doesn't understand how the department works or worse
3) Goldman: Mr. Weiss made it abundantly clear that whatever authority he needed as this case progressed to charge whatever charges he thought appropriate, he had that authority if he needed it and he followed the protocols.
