Here is a list of international community leaders. It referenced if they condemned Hamas for October 7th, how long before they publicly condemned Hamas, or called on Israeli hostages to be released

🧵
UNICEF chief: Catherine Russell @unicefchief

0 condemnation of Hamas, 1 month call to release hostages. Her mandate is children.
Image
Image
WHO Chief: Tedros Ghebreyesus @DrTedros

9 days to mention hostages. 4 tweets in total mentioning Hamas, no public condemnation. Image
Amnesty International: @amnesty

3 tweets TOTAL mentioning Hamas. In fact, they went out of their way to chastise Israel on October 11th effectively to victim blame. On the 7th of October while Israeli kibbutzim were overrun they also wrote this:

Image
Image
Image
Image
ICRC: @ICRC

ONE request to Hamas publicly to even visit the hostages. Chastised Israel’s response continuously.
Image
Image
United Nation High Commissioner on Human Rights: @volker_turk and @UNHumanRights

0. Yes, you read that right. 0 condemnations of Hamas. In fact, no mention of Hamas since 2018.
Image
Image
UNRWA: @UNRWA This is the group that employs 30,000 Gazans, lies about what’s in textbooks, and basically operates hand in hand with Hamas. Apparently there are no hostages. They’ve also ever written about Hamas 1 time in their entire history.
Image
Image
@UNRWA Save the Children: @save_children

0 condemnations of Hamas. 0 mentions of hostages. Amazingly though, we should protect all children unless apparently they are abducted from Israel.

Image
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children Doctors Without Borders: @MSF

It took them 5 days to condemn Hamas. Know why? It’s when Israel finally responded. Also, apparently, borders start when people get abducted from Israel. 0 calls to release Israeli hostages.
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF UN Special Rapporteur, Francesca Albanese: @FranceskAlbs

Denied Hamas’ most heinous crimes, never corrected the record, took over a MONTH to even call for the release of hostages
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs Human Rights Watch: @hrw

Have the gall to suggest that Hamas’ “political” and “military” divisions are entirely different. Effectively, this creates the idea that Hamas, who calls to murder all Jews regardless of division, has legitimacy and can stand after this. Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs @hrw Oxfam: @oxfamgb

0 condemnations of Hamas. 0 public calls for the release of hostages. Mentioned once in a response to a single X, tweet, whatever.

You can also donate just to their Gaza appeal. You cannot donate to help Israeli communities destroyed by Hamas.
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs @hrw @oxfamgb Open Society Foundations: @OpenSociety

So nice of them to say nothing for a month. Let’s have an open society, unless you’re a Jew held hostage by Hamas.

Image
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs @hrw @oxfamgb @OpenSociety EU Commission: @EU_Commission

They felt really bad on the 8th. They mourn for Palestinians and will triple all donations. Do they not understand that money and aid to Gaza ends up in the hands of Hamas? Also, they can respond to hostage situations if not about Jews.
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs @hrw @oxfamgb @OpenSociety @EU_Commission UN Women’s Agency for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment: @UN_Women President: Sima Bahous @unwomenchief

No condemnation of Hamas. No discussion of Israeli girls women being raped.

Image
Image
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs @hrw @oxfamgb @OpenSociety @EU_Commission @UN_Women @unwomenchief Malala Yousafzai and the Malala Fund: @MalalaFund @Malala

So nice of you to never condemn Hamas and say nothing about Israelis being taken hostage for 12 days. Calls for a ceasefire and mourns Gaza, doesn’t care about how it started.

Image
Image
Image
@UNRWA @save_children @MSF @FranceskAlbs @hrw @oxfamgb @OpenSociety @EU_Commission @UN_Women @unwomenchief @MalalaFund @Malala If I went into topics on false and biased reporting, @BBCWorld would have to explain how a publicly funded impartial news organization can have to issue over 10 corrections to their reporting. variety.com/2023/tv/global…
World Vision: @WorldVision

So nice of you to point out that something tragic happened in Israel 4 days later, only when you can also add Palestinians in the mix. Telling that you never called to release hostages nor directly blamed Hamas.

Image
Image
Image
@WorldVision CARE International: @CAREGlobal

So nice of you CARE to never mention Hamas, call for a cessation of violence before Israel even struck Hamas back on the 8th and call for the release of hostages for the first time 1 month later.

Image
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal Direct Relief: @DirectRelief

They have given aid to Gaza multiple times before. Don’t worry everyone, they don’t ask for any relief for hostages, Israel, and Hamas doesn’t exist.

Image
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief Plan International: @PlanGlobal

Condemned all violence 6 days later. Hamas mentioned 0 times. This children’s aid organization has mentioned Israeli children 0 times.

Image
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal World Food Programme: @WFP

Ready to deliver food aid to every Palestinian in Gaza. Horrified by the lack of aid. Not one word about the cause: Hamas. Not one time they asked to deliver food to the hostages.

Image
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal @WFP With the assist:
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal @WFP World Bank: @worldbank

If we control the banks, we sure don’t control The World Bank. No condemnation until they could both sides it for 3 days. No mention of Hamas. No call to release hostages. Ready to help Gaza.

Image
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal @WFP @WorldBank UNESCO: @UNESCO

Very concerned about things. So much so that it took them 10 days to say ANYTHING about what happened. Know what changed over 10 days? Israel fought back.
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal @WFP @WorldBank @UNESCO Part II coming up live at 9:00 PM EST
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal @WFP @WorldBank @UNESCO The most obvious one:

UNRWA Commissioner General: Philippe Lazzarini @UNLazzarini

Did you know that the head of UNRWA has NOTHING to say about Hamas or the hostages? Literally, nothing. Hamas runs the strip and he has never mentioned them once. Make it make sense.
Image
Image
@WorldVision @CAREGlobal @DirectRelief @PlanGlobal @WFP @WorldBank @UNESCO @UNLazzarini International Labor Organization: @ilo

Let’s not discuss what CAUSED the labor market to crash, nor discuss the hostages who are also laborers held by Hamas, nor the 20,000 Gazans who no longer work in Israel because of Hamas.

Image
Image
Image
United Nations Development Programme: @UNDP

In their long extensive history in Gaza, has not once mentioned Hamas. Wants international law to be respected but said nothing for 12 days after Hamas attacked Israel.

Image
Image
Image
@UNDP UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs @UNOCHA

Finally said something on October 9th with any attribution of fault to Hamas. Called to release hostages 9 days later. Did you know that Hamas doesn’t exist? Again, Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
Image
Image
@UNDP @UNOCHA The UN Economic and Social Commission of West Asia @UNESCWA

(Apparently this is real). Chastises Israel without any attribution of fault to Hamas who apparently doesn’t exist. (See that common theme?) Israel’s “brutal siege” apparently exists in a vacuum. There are no hostages

Image
Image
Image
@UNDP @UNOCHA @UNESCWA Human Rights Foundation: @HRF

Said nothing for 41 DAYS. No human rights for hostages. No human rights for Israelis. However, finally said something and attributed fault to Hamas. Yay (?)
Image
Image
@UNDP @UNOCHA @UNESCWA @HRF International Rescue Committee: @RESCUEorg

Not once in their history has ever mentioned Hamas. First mentioned hostages 7 days after the 7th. Blames the “occupying” power. Hi, IRC, if we were OCCUPYING GAZA HAMAS WOULDN’T HAVE MURDERED 1,400 ISRAELIS AND KIDNAPPED 240 MORE.

Image
Image
Image
@UNDP @UNOCHA @UNESCWA @HRF @RESCUEorg Children’s Rights International Network @CRINwire

For such a children’s rights group, you’d assume they would blame Hamas for taking children. But no. Blame the Jews for everything.

Image
Image
Image
UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths @UNReliefChief

Hasn’t condemned Hamas. Mentioned hostages 23 days later. Happy to meet with Iran’s FM to discuss Gaza. Martin, how much did they pay you for that photo op?

Image
Image
Image
Fridays for Future @Fridays4future

This organization, led by Greta Thunberg, entered non climate politics.

No condemnation of Hamas. No call to release the hostages. Call to walkout for Palestine. Condemned Assad, didn’t mention that he killed 6,000 Palestinians.
Image
Image
@Fridays4future I also want to discuss the response of another UN organization that exists in our region: United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon @UNIFIL_.

They have an annual budget of $500,000,000 and serve no purpose. See Hezbollah mentioned once? Nope.

Image
Image
Image
@Fridays4future @UNIFIL_ Minority Rights Group International: @MinorityRights

After waiting 18 days to finally make a statement condemning the actions of the 7th, they wrote a statement condemning what happened to Israel but failed to attribute fault. But they asked Israel to ceasefire by name.

Image
Image
Image
@Fridays4future @UNIFIL_ @MinorityRights Global Campus for Human Rights: @gchumanrights

Has said nothing for over a month. However, they have coyly slipped something in, a webinar called “Child Protection in Gaza Under Attack.” Out of curiosity, were you doing a similar thing when Hamas abducted Israeli children? No.
Image
Image
@Fridays4future @UNIFIL_ @MinorityRights @gchumanrights UN Against Sexual Violence in War @endrapeinwar

Well, apparently that doesn’t apply to Israelis. While complimentary of Israel in 2013 for Israel’s commitment to end rape in war, apparently the UNASVW is okay with Israelis being raped in war. Here is what they said about Hamas
Image
Image
@Fridays4future @UNIFIL_ @MinorityRights @gchumanrights @endrapeinwar Another assist:
@Fridays4future @UNIFIL_ @MinorityRights @gchumanrights @endrapeinwar Mercy Corps @mercycorps

Very concerned about the violence in Israel and Gaza while 1400 Israelis were being slaughtered by Hamas. So merciful to not even call for the release of hostages.

Image
Image
Image
@Fridays4future @UNIFIL_ @MinorityRights @gchumanrights @endrapeinwar @mercycorps Have to add this to the list. Here is a list of organizations who we know had staff at Shifa: @WHO @UNRWA @MSF @ICRC

They also all claim that they never knew Hamas was there and made no comment on the 7th.

We have to talk about what’s happening to the Jews in Canada. As bad as antisemitism is everywhere, a special reluctance to tackle it is happening across the country. 🧵
The scenes we are seeing today across the country are shocking. In the Toronto area, the Palestinian protesters have even gone so far to gather in Jewish neighborhoods, harass the citizens, all while wearing red triangle armbands.
Antisemitism in Canada did not start on October 7th. For example, Concordia University in Montreal was given the monicker Gaza U over 20 years ago where bullying Jewish students mixed with administrative apathy led many Jews to look away from attending. jcpa.org/article/anti-i…

The Jewish diaspora is approximately 25 years behind the pro-Palestine/anti-Israel movement. Many are trying to figure out how this happened both within Jewish advocacy groups. (See thread below). However, let’s focus on how to fight back. 🧵
25 years is a long time to play catchup. We first have to recognize that we are too decentralized as a people. Our comfort in the diaspora (predominantly West Europe and North America), led to many different organizations and groups being created.
The small variations on messaging became big differences in how to view everything from diaspora religious life, to Israel, to diaspora politics. There is no centrality to this messaging or leadership. We have created small fiefdoms of thought and power, and diluted ourselves.

The years of brainwashing activists to think that every issue comes back to Israel being the problem is remarkable. It is one of the brilliant hallmarks of SJP founder Hatem Bazian. His plan was to build alliances to make Palestine the front and center issue everywhere.
From antiwar movements to climate justice, BLM to the women’s march, somehow Palestine became the topic. That no progressive seems to understand that they have been duped is a different story. It’s much easier to blame the same bad actor for everything, after all.
Further, the utilization of NGOs and the UN, groups these same people find flawless merit in, to bolster the case was brilliant. For example, did you know that the UN blamed Palestinian domestic violence on Israel? Yup. Palestinian men beat their wives because of Israel.

Well Muslim Brotherhood, I tip my hat. Game well played. You took the long view and slowly crept up and became modern progressive discourse. You did your research and knew where to start, chose an infectious and vibrant man to lead it, and you have isolated Israel and the Jews.
You started in the Bay Area focusing on San Francisco and Berkeley because that is the center of American progressivism, tolerance and acceptance. Also where money could be dumped into and repurposed as Silicon Valley was beginning to bubble.
In the late 1980s you took your front man, Hatem Bazian, and he navigated himself into the position of president of the National People of Color Student Coalition and began to make Israel/Palestine a racial issue. Same person passed a defund Israeli aid resolution in 1991.

Jewish leadership over the last 25 years needs to apologize, unabashedly, and stop telling us how to proceed. You failed us, you no longer get to make decisions. 🧵
For 25 years, even when it was being screamed at their faces, shown to them time and time again, the leadership pretended to see nothing, they pretended to hear nothing, and of course they did nothing. However, they still sent email blasts telling you to donate.
Money poured in. Whether it was Overland Park, Pittsburgh, Poway, Paris, Los Angeles, Monsey, or New York, the email stating “Donate Here” would come. It came every Yom HaShoah as well. From all of them. All 10,642 organizations for a population of 7,500,000.

If you are confused as to why campuses are exploding, it is the work of one man, Hatem Bazian. Bazian is responsible for making every issue about I/P and created SJP. In the late eighties, Bazian became the president of the National People of Color Student Coalition.
Within this role, he got the US Student Association to pass resolutions in 1991 demanding the US cut aid to Israel. Jewish students at his home campus, SFSU, reported exponential growth in antisemitism. He used his position to advocate for racial solidarity for the Palestinians.
Angered by the fact that people were pointing to him as the culprit, Bazian led the assault on the Golden Gater, accusing it of being a haven for Jewish spies. He banned Jewish students from a protest in 1994 as well.
