Talking bad about the T-72B3 mod 2016 and T-72B3 mod 2022 since I'm bored 🧵
Well, the vehicle is not good for modern warfare and several things are missing from it but I even understand why the Russians haven't added so much equipment to the vehicle since you needed to correct the Russian deficiency of not having enough vehicles equipped with thermal vision systems and as you need to upgrade many vehicles all of this would be very expensive, But they could have tried harder. In reality, thinking more about money than quality was a stupid decision that help to led to several cases like the one in the image below
I always like to talk about the terrible reverse speed that ALL T-72 series vehicles have, which is only 4km/h, this forces you to show the weakest side of the vehicle to get out of the battlefield and often leads to the destruction of the vehicle.
The Russians tried to "fix" this problem in the new T-72B3 mod 2022 by putting ERA blocks in the back of the hull but that shit just doesn't work anyway, instead To fix the reverse speed problem they chose to put ERA on the back, it's quite understandable when you lose vehicles at an extremely fast speed and need to replace it.
Another problem with the T-72B3 that was minimally "fixed" in the T-72B3 mod 2022 is the poor ERA coverage, here you see an example of an ATGM that hit between the turret's kontakt-5 blocks, Since there is a stupidly large space in that location, the coverage on the sides is also not good as you have weak points in the areas that separate the relikt blocks but this can be fixed a bit by adding 4S22 blocks
The vehicle does not have a thermal or stabilized vision system for the commander, the most it has is a periscope with night vision that does not exceed 500 meters from what I remember, Vision through the periscopes is poor as there aren't many of them in the dome and the vision system occupies the front so situational awareness is horrible.
Unlike the T-90M which has GPS and battlefield management systems, the T-72B3 does not even have a GPS, the only thing the crew can do is use civil systems. GPS is such a basic thing that the fact that vehicles don't have this type of system is ridiculous, no matter how cheap the Russians wanted it to be.
The ammunition/propellants do not have any type of protection and are spread throughout the vehicle, no effort was made to at least create safe sharing with blowout panels for the Extra ammunition like the T-90M
An example of how bad the coverage of the T-72B3 mod 2016 is

And about the T-72B3 mod 2022, it is basically a T-72B3 mod 2016 that received more ERA armor, this certainly doesn't help much but it's worth showing.

It has been public, since January of this year, that Ukrainian special forces have been using the L3 Harris AN/PSQ-42 (ENVG-B). It is a night vision goggle with image fusion, It means that it combines analog image intensifier tubes and an LWIR thermal imager.
1/5
Image intensifiers operate at the speed of light, without the need for digitization. Therefore, they have excellent depth perception, resolution, and no image lag. However, it has blind spots in certain dark environments and has limited detection capabilities compared to thermals
Thermal imagers create images from infrared radiation, functioning in zero-light environments, seeing through smoke and dust, and having a much greater detection capacity and range. However, They depend on digitization.

Rosoboronexport and Uralvagonzavod 1/2
Rosoboronexport, the main Russian state agency responsible for exporting military materials, will present what is, so far, the only MBT confirmed at the event: the Uralvagonzavod T-90MS, the most advanced Russian MBT offered to the international market.
The Inguar-3 is an MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) made by Ukrainian company "Inguar defense" that began to be tested by the Ukrainian military in combat in 2024 so that troops could provide feedback before the contract was signed.

The vehicle was tested by members of the 12th Special Operations Brigade "Azov" where they observed that the vehicle's performance was better than some foreign models previously tested. It is worth mentioning that the brigade operates Maxxpro and BMC Kirpi MRAPs.
The vehicle comes from the factory with the EW system, which in testing appeared to be the AD KRAKEN COUNTER FPV F4 М50 From Kvertus. This is a high-frequency EW system that uses four jamming bands, designed to neutralize FPVs.

In 1987 the British government was looking for a replacement for the already obsolete LAW-80, so a series of studies and invitation to bid being issued in 1999 with Matra BAE Dynamics, an Anglo-French joint venture and Saab Bofors Dynamics Ltd responding to the call.
A bit of history and capabilities of the Leopard 2A6 and its use in ukraine🧵
in the late 1980s the Germans began to develop a new modernization program for the leopard 2 which was divided into two stages: KWS I and KWS II (KWS = Combat Value Increase)
After a while, two prototypes were presented to the German army, based on vehicles from the 8th batch of Leopard 2A4, the TVM min and TVM MAX.
