This week Jan 6 defendants' daughter asked judge for leniency, saying parents are "being fed a constant IV drip of lies, misinfo., well-edited but completely bogus videos that painted the same picture: The world was out to get them..& only person there to protect them was..Trump"
Their daughter continued, by telling judge that the misinformation comes "From sitting Congress members, to hosts of the highest rated cable TV channel in the country, to the very person they trusted most, the same man currently on pace to be the Republican nominee again in 2024"
She continued, "Those in power amplified those lies for 9 consecutive weeks between the 2020 election & Jan 6th, revving up an already angry, frustrated & yes overly gullible group of people who truly believed that they were being sent to the Capitol on orders from the President"
Judge Randolph Moss credited the young woman with an especially powerful letter and statement in court.
Judge sentenced her mom and dad to prison, but echoed her concerns about the risks that lie ahead
Defendants' daughter's letter to court said mom & dad were often: "On their phones or tablets, consuming articles that are entirely made up or greatly exaggerated.. seeing 1000s of people on pro-Trump sites & Facebook groups agree with even the most outlandish, ridiculous ideas"
The Jan 6 defendants' daughter warned her parents weren't the only ones exposed: "My parents are good people to their core, but they fell deep into the conspiracy theory rabbit hole that has swallowed up millions of Americans over the last decade"

Inside the appeals court hearing in the gag order of Donald Trump in Trump's 2020 election conspiracy criminal case
Hearing is in the 6th floor ceremonial courtroom. Huge. The size of a small church. Rows and rows of wooden benches. Quite cold inside.
The room is ornate, wooden walls jammed with portraits of former judges. (The walls are as jammed with oil paintings of judges. More pictures than you'd see on a proud grandma's bookshelf)
Three appeals court judges will sit up high on a bench in front of a white marble wall, with four tall white statues
They have gold plated nameplates
Judge Cornelia Pillard (obama nominee) on left. Patricia Millett (obama nominee) in middle. Brad Garcia (Biden nom) on right
ALERT: House Administration Committee Republicans are posting a public website with 90 hours of Jan 6 footage. And a senior GOP committee aide said the committee will seek to post nearly all of the thousands of hours of footage in the coming months.
MORE: Senior Congressional aide said the committee would continue to review and add video on a “rolling basis” over the “next few months".. & seek to release nearly all of the footage eventually, while withholding some that would reveal security secrets or lead to doxing.
Committee GOP staff said “faces will be blurred” in some of the footage, for people “who are identifiable.”
The committee said it will also open its Capitol Hill offices and terminals for appointments and screening of unposted video to any interested person.
ALERT: House Ethics Cmte report, “Representative Santos sought to fraudulently exploit every aspect of his House candidacy for his own personal financial profit.
He blatantly stole from his campaign.
He deceived donors..”
House Ethics Cmte cites “constant series of lies” by Santos
Ethics Cmte on Santos: “he sustained all of this through a constant series of lies to his constituents, donors, and staff about his background and experience.”
NEW: In overnight court filing, Trump makes extended argument to strike references to Jan 6 from his 2020 election conspiracy crim. case. He uses a dubious data point about crowd size and repeats his claims that the prosecution is politically motivated
Trump's defense argues, "Not a shred of evidence suggests President Trump called for any violence or asked anyone to enter the Capitol unlawfully.”
Trump further argues, "During his speech, President Trump acknowledged that, after he was finished speaking, some members of the crowd would walk to the Capitol to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women"
(He doesn't his speech's reference to "WE" going to Capitol)
