Russia’s offensive operations around Avdiivka continued with attacks on both flanks as well as on the city itself.
Russia has continued to make gradual progress and has now advanced into the northern outskirts of the city.
After smaller attacks in recent weeks, Russia has swiftly reclaimed control of most of the territory west of Bakhmut that they had lost during Ukraine’s offensives around the City, earlier in the year.
Russia has been carrying out attacks at many points along the frontline in the past week and has advanced northwest from Kreminna.

For the first time, 🇺🇦 has successfully gained control of territory located behind the 2014 frontline.
This notable advance occurred west of Horlivka, where the line has remained unchanged since before the start of the 2022 invasion.
In the vicinity of Avdiivka, 🇷🇺 has advanced across the rail line in the north, posing a threat to Ukrainian supply lines to the city. Additionally, 🇷🇺 has made gains to the southeast.
Meanwhile, 🇺🇦 has reclaimed positions recently lost to the south and southwest of the city.
🇺🇦 has extended its control along the southern bank of the Dnipro River, within the settlement of Krynky.
🇺🇦 has retained previously captured positions on the Southern bank of the Dnipro and expanded its control within Krynky.
South of Bakhmut, 🇺🇦 has made advances around the rail line.
West of Bakhmut, 🇷🇺 has attacked along the edge of the Bohdanivka reservoir.
Recent footage has allowed for a map correction near Velyka Novoselivka. 🇺🇦 controls Levadne and areas to its south. This change is not considered recent but has only recently been verified.
