The reason why no clothes feel good on you is bc you’re yet to understand colour theory & styling for your body type.

You don’t need to always wear black/blue to look good if you understood colour theory.

All colours look great on you if you found the right shade. Here’s how:
4 things are to be considered when purchasing clothes to look good on you:

Colour
Pattern
Size
Fit

While pattern, size and fit are unique and differs with each person - colour concept is something that can apply to all of us.
Colour theory is a concept that explores how colours interact with each other to create visually appealing combinations.

If you apply colour theory on clothes against your skin tone and undertone, you’ll be able to achieve a well-put look on yourself.
This can be found by finding which ‘colour season’ you are. There are 4 seasons - summer, winter, spring, autumn, with 3 sub shades under each (dark/light, true, soft/bright)

You will come under 1 of those 12 shades. Find that colour palette shade & you’re good to go. Image
For starters, I recommend using this app called ‘Style DNA’.

It’ll suggest which season you are based on your skin tone, it’s undertone, eye and lip colour.
Much before knowing I fell under the ‘dark autumn’ palette - I’ve always felt good in rusty brown or mustard yellow colour.

Understanding colour theory recently helped me style better.

When shopping - you know which colour to go for, which shade to avoid.
Once you know your colour palette, you can look for inspirations from Pinterest or create your own.

There are plenty of helpful suggestions to understand colours that flatter your skin tone well.

As a dark autumn, I learned these look good on me:

Some further understanding of colour theory. You can see how few shades flatter these models and how few shades just don’t do justice, even tho the colour is same.

Much of my followers are in their 20’s and 30’s. This is the time to learn what fits you and what doesn’t.

Style yourself. Put efforts to look good in your best years.

Addressing ADHD:

Throughout my life, I have struggled immensely with focus and giving attention to work. Distraction has been my biggest enemy and still continues to do so.
Emails take 10 mins to send but getting the willpower to send it may take hours. My procrastination has earned ‘chronic’ status cause no matter how much I put off doing my work last minute, I always get it done perfectly. I meet deadlines but only at the price of increased stress
Fortunately, this hasn’t affected my academics but my everyday life used to be a chaotic mess. I fumble over things like planning, organising, initiating a simple task like boiling that milk for a coffee that I so badly crave.

Incase if you’re new to the workforce and didn’t know:

1. HR is not your friend. Please refrain from speaking anything personal to your HRs. The same applies with other employees but stay slightly warned with your HRs.
Do not share your family background, how much you used to make, personal issues within family that’s stressing you out. Anything can be used against you. Or anything can be used to mess against your promotion, if you’re eligible for one.
2. Put every serious conversations in email.

If you’re discussing instances of, say, sexual harassments, put it all in email. Even if the convo was vocal, send an email later saying “thanks for the conversation where we spoke about xyz where you mentioned you will do abc.”

Pei story.

My househelp akka was alone at our house and she was making lunch for my anna who was about to be home in 30-35 mins.

She was in the kitchen, when she heard the bell. She loudly shouted “open the door thambi, I’m in kitchen” as she was busy cooking
She heard the door creak open & close after a second and heard my anna’s voice go “I have come home ka. Slightly hungry”. She only heard his voice and didn’t see his face. She finished cooking, switches off the stove and walks towards his bedroom to ask him to wash his hands.
She opens the bedroom and couldn’t find him there. Assuming he is in the restroom, she knocks there and the door creaks opens instead, indicating he wasn’t there as well. She goes and checks all rooms and both living rooms and balcony - my Anna was not there at all.
