Animal (Explained)

One of friend who is reader of my blog n knows my interest in behaviour psychology asked me to explain the movie Animal

I too received diverse opinions about film so decided to watch it

Here is my explanation of movie on basis of my understanding

The film is very complex n intense n not as it looks like n m sure 99% people could not understand this film

Theme of film is not revenge drama

Theme of film is :
- One sided love
- Complex relationship

Normally in Bollywood films one sided love is shown between boy n girl

But in this movie this love is shown between son n father

While son is madly in love with his father his father is cold hearted n insensitive

While son wants father to spend time with him n share emotions
Father wants to build his business empire n wealth for family

There r only 2 main charector in film
Anil Kapoor - Father
Ranvir Kapoor - Son

Rest all characters just revolves around them n just there to support the plot

Theme of film is
How mental state of one alpha person change n evolves who is in complex relationship n one sided love

Meaning of Joke

Film starts with a joke on king and Monkey

In this joke
Santri is Anil Kapoor
Monkey is Ranveer Kapoor

He is trying to say that Santri expected monkey to mimic him but this monkey was different he didn't mimic him

Anil Kapoor wanted his son to be like him

Definition of Animal

Film starts with definition of Animal (a multi cell living orgasm) through this definition Ranveer Kapoor tries to explain his condition how he was treated by father

What makes us different from animal is emotions

Without emotions we r animal

Why name of Ranveer Kapoor is not revealed

Till interval name of Ranveer Kapoor is not revealed to show that he doesn't want his identity

His identity is his father

He loves to call himself Balbir Singh II

Balbir Singh is name of his father

How my Papa urinates

There is a comic scene in which Ranveer Kapoor tells how his papa urinate

This scene was inserted to tell the thought process how deeply he has observed his papa

Why he kills his brother in law

He was so possessive for his papa that he didn't like anyone who calls papa to his papa

When he realises his jija tried to kill his father he kills him so easily n after killing he takes lunch

It was shown to show his intense feeling for papa

Why he cheats to his wife

He loves to his wife but when it's come to protect his papa he even cheats to his wife n after that he honestly confess it

This scene was fit to show his another dimension of his personality n his extreme love for his papa

Bobby Deol and Violence

Charector of Bobby Deol was shown extremely brutal n violent but Ranveer beat him even in brutality

Ranveer fights with 300 people n Bobby Deol was shown only to use as reference to show extreme mental condition of Ranveer

Moment of Self Realisation

In entire film Ranveer was shown in extreme mental pain by smoking

But at the end he gets self realisation

When he realises he was always wrong

His papa was not best papa of the world

Actually he was the best son of the world

U can't understand it u can just feel it

The reference of "u become son in next life n I will become papa"

Was shown to display complex relationship n incomprehensible emotions

He just wanted to be loved as he loved

Incompleteness

In entire movie Anil Kapoor never hugs him but in the end in close shot it's shown that Anil Kapoor is hugging him

But as camera goes far we see it's actually Shakti Kapoor

He always remains incomplete

Post credit scene

Post credit scene of Ranveer Kapoor's look a like was shown to generate curiosity for part 2 of film

Now after reading this if u watch again u will realise each n every scene was with a purpose to support main plot

Human mind is amazing n very complex
