It’s told by Shaykh Muḥammed Aslam that when people would come with constraints and problems to the scholars of Syria, one of the first things they would ask is: Do you take any time to study your religion? You have little sustenance? Allāh increases the rizq of the one who seeks knowledge. You have family problems? Allāh gifts solutions to the ones who seeks knowledge. You are going through hardship? Allāh lifts burdens for the one who seeks knowledge. You feel spiritually low? Allāh sends down openings for the one who seeks knowledge. Your days are dark? Allāh illuminates the lives of those who seek knowledge? You have debts? Allāh increases the wealth of the one who seeks knowledge You feel distant? Allāh's mercy comes close to the one who seeks knowledge. You feel tired? Allāh rejuvenates the īmān of the one that seeks knowledge. Your heart feels dead? Allāh brings life to the ones who seek knowledge. This is the inheritance of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.
Shaykh Asrār Rashīd has shared a list of books (afew added by us as well) which is recommended to 1st year students of knowledge but can be used by the generel public as well. His advice is: Select the smallest works that interest you the most first. Then move onto the next work. Continue like this until you complete the entire list. This list is not exhaustive and after the first year, the student who completes this list will develop his own acumen of selecting books to read as well as becoming a habitual reader.

"My beautiful daughter,
Today is July 14, the second day of Ramadan. Shaykh al-Islam issued a fatwa saying that you may not fast. But I did not feel comfortable. I intend to fast. At sahur…
I found two root çiriş (a grass smaller than a leek) among the bushes. I had sahur with them. We dug new trenches during the day. I was never silent.
The offensive has increased. We couldn't get our heads out. In the evening, a soldier recited the call to prayer.
Inside the trench, the canteen circulated from hand to hand. Everyone broke their fast with water. I thought I was the only one fasting. It turns out that all of the troop were fasting. The flask came to me last. It came, but I was ashamed of myself. My friends all fasted without
🧵Imām Abu'l Ḥasan ash-Shādhilī had a vision when he entered Jerusalem. He saw Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ on a throne and around him were all the Prophets.
He heard Sayyidunā Mūsā (peace be upon him) say to the Prophet ﷺ: “You say that the scholars of your nation…
(Ummah) are like the Prophets of the Israelites”, the Prophet ﷺ said: “Yes, would you like to see one of them?”
So he ﷺ turned and said: “Where is Abū Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī?” Imām al-Ghazālī entered and sat with them. They asked him: “What is your name, O Imām?” He replied:
“My name is Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Ghazālī al-Tūsī.” Prophet Mūsā (peace be upon him) said to him: “We only asked you your name, we didn't want to know the name of your father and grandfather and tribe! Is this from good manners?”
One day, a delegation of the most notable Christians headed for Baghdād to attend a grand party to celebrate (see thread👇)
the conversion of a key Mongolian leader to Christianity. The Mongolian leader had his favourite hunting dog on a leash nearby. One of the Christians then began congratulating the Mongolian leader on his wise decision and then proceeded to revile the blessed character of
Rasūlullāh ﷺ, supposedly in order to discourage them from accepting Islām.
The dog then started acting violently and jumped on the Christian, scratching him badly. It took several men to make the dog let go of the Christian. One of the attendees turned to the Christian and
Is it not strange that there are individuals who passionately strive to uphold and safeguard the revered station of Prophet Ibrāhīm (peace be upon him), where his blessed footprints once graced the earth? Yet, paradoxically, these same individuals… (Thread👇)
often assert that venerating, adoring, and yearning for the places where Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ walked, conversed, resided, and sat, may be perceived as tantamount to Shirk and Bid'ah.
One of the most detrimental innovations in our Ummah in the past 14 centuries has been the
misguided attempt to diminish the profound love and devotion that believers hold in their hearts for the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. Without him, we would not have known the blessings of Ramadān, Laylat al-Qadr, Tarāwīḥ, Zakāt, Ḥajj, ‘Īd, or our Lord. It is an evil innovation to
