🧵Sulṭān al-ʿĀrifīn Bāyazīd al-Basṭāmī: “One day, while I was on one of my spiritual journeys, enjoying the solitude and peace, deeply absorbed in my thoughts and content with my remembrance, I suddenly heard a call within my spirit: ‘O Abū Yazīd, go to the Monastery of Simeon and join the monks on the day of their festival and communion, for there is a matter of significance for us in this.’
I sought refuge in Allāh from this thought and said to myself, ‘I will not take this risk.’ But that night, a voice came to me in my sleep and repeated the same words. I awoke trembling, shaken by the impact of the words, as though they had the power to move even the immovable. Then, I heard another call within my spirit: ‘Do not fear. You are among the chosen and righteous in our sight, recorded among the virtuous. But wear the clothing of the monks and fasten the belt for our sake; there is no harm in this for you, nor will it be held against you.’
So, Abū Yazīd, ‘I rose at dawn, hastened to follow the command, wore the attire of the monks, and went to the Monastery of Simeon.’”
When their leader arrived, and they gathered around him, listening in silence to hear his words, he found himself unable to speak, as if his mouth was bound. The priests and monks asked him, “What is preventing you from speaking, O master? We seek guidance from your words and follow your knowledge.”
He replied, “What prevents me from speaking now is that among you is a Muḥammadan (a follower of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ) who has come to test your faith and stands against you.”
They said, “Show him to us so we may kill him immediately.”
He responded, “Do not kill him without proof and evidence. I wish to test him and ask him questions about the knowledge of religions. If he answers clearly, we will let him go; but if he fails to explain them, we will kill him. For, in the face of examination, a person is either honored or humiliated.”
They said to him, “Do as you wish, for we are here only to learn.”
Their leader stood up and called out, “O Muḥammadan, by the right of Muḥammad, I ask you to stand on your feet so that everyone can see you.”
Abū Yazīd stood up, his tongue never ceasing from words of praise and glorification. The patriarch then said to him, “O Muḥammadan, I wish to ask you some questions. If you answer them and explain them clearly, we will follow you. But if you fail to explain, we will kill you.”
Abū Yazīd replied, “Ask whatever you wish, whether it be from transmitted knowledge or rational thought, and God is witness to what you say.”

The 2nd Caliph, Sayyidunā ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb had (by the Will of Allāh) 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 also known as ‘al-ʿAnāsir al-Arbaʿah.’
Imām Fakhr al-Dīn ar-Rāzī mentions in his Tafsīr that these 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 obeyed ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb:

Ḥāfidh ibn Kathīr and others have recorded this:
Sayyidunā ʿAmr wrote to Sayyidunā ʿUmar telling him the proponents regarding the Nile river. He (ʿUmar) responded and wrote back to him, saying: “You did the right thing. I am sending you a piece of paper with my letter; throw it into the Nile.”
When the letter came, Sayyidunā ʿAmr took the piece of paper on which was written:
“From the slave of Allāh ʿUmar, Amīr al-Muʾminīn, to the Nile of the people of Egypt.
To proceed: If you only flow on your own initiative, then do not flow, for we have no need of you. But if you only flow on the command of Allāh, the One, the Subduer, and He is the One Who causes you to flow, then we ask Allāh, may He be exalted, to make you flow.”
He threw the paper in the Nile and by Saturday morning, Allāh had caused the Nile to flow and Allāh put an end to this particular custom of the people of Egypt.

Imām Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah has recorded this with a reliable chain, that an earthquake occurred during the time of Sayyidunā ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb:
One day an earthquake hit Madīnah, and ʿUmar hit the ground with his stick and said, “Be calm, by the permission of Allāh”, and the earthquake ceased because Sayyidunā ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb told it to.
𝟯) 𝗔𝗜𝗥
Imām al-Bayhaqī, Imām Aḥmad, and many others have recorded:
When Sayyidunā ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb sent out an army, he appointed a man named Sariyah as their leader. Then while Sayyidunā ʿUmar was delivering the Khuṭbah, he started shouting: “O Sariyah, the mountain! O Sariyah, the mountain, the mountain!” Then a messenger from the army came and he [ʿUmar] questioned him [concerning the army], he said: “O Leader of the Believers! We met with the enemy and they had [almost] defeated us, then a voice proclaimed, ‘O Sariyah, the mountain!’ So we put our backs against the mountain and due to this Allāh vanquished them.” This shows us the Karāmah (miracle performed by a friend of Allāh) of Sayyidunā ʿUmar and his knowledge of the Unseen (ʿilm al-ghayb).
𝟰) 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘
It’s recorded by al-Bayhaqī and others that a fire was extinguished by the shawl of Amīr ul-Muʾminīn, Sayyidunā ʿUmar al-Fārūq ibn al-Khaṭṭāb:
It is stated that once during the reign of Sayyidunā ʿUmar, a wild fire was observed from a mountain cave and burned everything in the surrounding. People took their plea to the Caliph and the Caliph gave his shawl to Sayyidunā Tamīm ad-Dārī. He asked him to take that shawl to the fire. Upon arrival, Tamīm ad-Dārī observed that the fire started to extinguish by itself as he went near and when he went into the cave the fire extinguished completely and never appeared again.

"My beautiful daughter,
Today is July 14, the second day of Ramadan. Shaykh al-Islam issued a fatwa saying that you may not fast. But I did not feel comfortable. I intend to fast. At sahur…
I found two root çiriş (a grass smaller than a leek) among the bushes. I had sahur with them. We dug new trenches during the day. I was never silent.
The offensive has increased. We couldn't get our heads out. In the evening, a soldier recited the call to prayer.
🧵Imām Abu'l Ḥasan ash-Shādhilī had a vision when he entered Jerusalem. He saw Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ on a throne and around him were all the Prophets.
He heard Sayyidunā Mūsā (peace be upon him) say to the Prophet ﷺ: “You say that the scholars of your nation…
(Ummah) are like the Prophets of the Israelites”, the Prophet ﷺ said: “Yes, would you like to see one of them?”
So he ﷺ turned and said: “Where is Abū Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī?” Imām al-Ghazālī entered and sat with them. They asked him: “What is your name, O Imām?” He replied:
