🧵IDF soldiers broke protocols tragically killing hostages with white flags. Key question is why soldiers may have thought they were a threat? Because of at least TEN Hamas war crimes which greatly impact IDF actions, especially in Shejaiya where this occurred. Here they are: 1/
ONE: Hamas dresses as civilians. If Hamas wore uniforms as required by international law, IDF would never have thought civilians might be combatants. The hostages would still be alive. Hamas violates Geneva Protocol I.44.3 2/
TWO: Hamas regularly violates “Prohibition of perfidy” by feigning civilian status, a key factor in tragic hostage incident. Hamas acts like civilians, enters homes set up with arms, exits as civilian, enters another pre-set attack position. A core Hamas battle strategy 3/
THREE: Hamas uses human shields. Not just hiding among & under civilians which is also war crime. But sending civilians as spotters or to disrupt IDF actions as reported in Jabaliya in just one case from story below. Hamas violates Protocol I.51.7 risking lives of civilians. 4/
FOUR: Hamas illegally booby traps bodies, certain civilian sites, even children’s backpack (see news story) & lures troops using things like baby recordings. This has killed IDF soldiers. War crimes under Protocol on Prohibitions & Restrictions on Use of Mines, Booby-Traps. 5/
FIVE: Hamas violates Protocol I.58 as they have an affirmative duty to avoid locating military objectives from "densely population areas" – like Shejaiya neighborhood where hostages killed. This is the core Hamas war crime: embedding within civilian areas. 6/
SIX: Hamas regularly violates Geneva Protocol I.53 by using mosques for weapons storage, attacks, tunnels etc. Many documented examples. While not directly related to killing of hostages, this & other war crimes speak to IDF troops knowing that NOTHING is too low for Hamas. 7/
SEVEN: Further in the category of NOTHING being too low for Hamas: rape on 10/7 and sexual violence against hostages (10 hostages reported this) is a unique war crime. 8/
EIGHT: Hamas tortured and caused physical suffering to hostages. From placing burn marks on children to identify them if they escaped to just murdering hostages they violate Geneva IV.32. Nothing is too low & depraved for Hamas. IDF has internalized this. 9/
NINE: Hamas use of hospitals for its military actions is now well documented, from hostage taking at Rantisi & Shifa hospitals, tunnels, Hamas firing positions, weapons inside incubators. Nothing too low for Hamas. Nothing can be trusted. Several laws broken like this one: 10/
TEN: Finally of course: taking hostages is a war crime per Geneva IV.34. If Hamas had not taken hostages in the first place they’d still be alive today. Their death – and every civilian death in this war – is ultimately for the account of Hamas. 11/
Another 10 war crimes could easily be listed (e.g. rockets). It is dishonest & willfully ignorant to assess killing of hostages by IDF without taking into account these massive Hamas war crimes IDF soldiers deal with daily. UN & Fake NGOs of course pretend they don't know. END

🧵Hamas doesn't just use Gaza hospitals as bases. Many “hospital workers” are Hamas operatives, possibly fake medical staff. Hamas just admitted yet another "nurse," Najm Abu al-Jibeen, was a Qassam commander. The infiltration of hospitals runs deeper than imagined. Details: 1/
In a series of recent "marty" notices, al-Jibeen was honored as a commander, a fighter killed in action. A three minute video shows him in combat training and in action. Nothing about being a "nurse." 2/
However, a database detailing Gaza fatalities called "Genocide in Gaza" remembers al-Jibeen as a "nurse," shown in the image in scrubs. He was killed on November 26, 2023 and listed in the Hamas fatality eight months later (ID 404672800, Age 24). 3/ gigaza.org/martyrs/%d9%86…
🧵An IDF airstrike on a home in Shaboura, Rafah on Dec 14, 2023 was reported as an illegal strike on a “refugee camp” for displaced Gazans. But a Hamas martyr notice now confirms actual target: a Rafah Brigade commander, Subhi Abu Shaer. The truth slowly comes out. Detail: 1/
This specific IDF strike on a house in the so-called Shaboura “refugee camp” in Rafah at 19:20 on Dec 14, 2023 was covered by several media outlets. NPR even had a reporter on scene. Yet no mention the strike may have targeted Hamas members. 2/ npr.org/2023/12/14/121…
A Palestinian website documenting Gaza fatalities says the Shaboura strike that specific day hit the Abu Shaer home, killing Subhi Abu Shaer, 54. He also appears on the official Hamas fatality list (ID 926352253). 3/ gigaza.org/martyrs/%d8%b5…
🧵Another @airwars "airstrike analysis" that concluded the IDF killed ONLY civilians in an Oct 10, 2023 attack has now been proven to have killed senior PIJ commander Ashraf al-Qara (ID 413317470, Age 53). This is the 3rd case found recently. Airwars will you update the data? 1/
Airwars' assessment for the strike assumed civilian status for everyone, although in this case they had clues 53 year old Al-Qara was a commander. But they still counted him as a civilian. Now you know @Airwars @Emily_4319 @Anna_Zahn1 @desilva_rowena 2/ airwars.org/civilian-casua…
Here is the second case of an Airwars analysis that assumed only civilians were killed: in fact it also killed confirmed PIJ commander Ayman Hassan Yassin (ID: 901319533). 3/
🧵Another @airwars "airstrike analysis" that concluded IDF killed ONLY civilians based on "local sources" has now been proven to have killed PIJ commander Ayman Hassan Yassin (ID: 901319533). This is the 2nd case found recently. The Yassin family head was a terrorist leader. 1/
As a review: Airwars’ preposterous “analysis” issued in 2024 evaluated IDF airstrikes from October 2023. They concluded that out of 606 IDF airstrikes, only 26 — or 4% — killed a combatant. The other 580 killed ONLY civilians! Seriously. 2/
But with just a handful of recent Hamas & PIJ martyr notices showing Oct 2023 deaths, the narrative is badly cracking. Mo’men Amin Jabara al-Agha, age 27—listed by Airwars as a civilian—was honored by Hamas as member of al-Qassam Brigades. Yassin is the second case found. 3/
🧵Today we learn based on Hamas & PIJ admissions that a so-called journalist, Doctors without Borders worker & nursing supervisor at Kamal Adwan Hospital were combatants killed in action. IDF did not target civilians but terrorists posing as them. The truth will be revealed. 1/
This thread identifies these persons from PIJ martyr notices. Hamas and PIJ are revealing more and more of their losses. @GabrielEpsteinX continues to expose the truth. 2/
🧵Airwars is often cited as “proving” excessive civilian harm in IDF airstrikes. But within only a handful of recent Hamas martyr notices, a strike they labeled “civilian-only” included a confirmed combatant. As more notices emerge, the @airwars "evidence" will collapse. 1/

This outcome isn’t a surprise. Airwars has no reliable way to identify combatants in Gaza. Hamas & PIJ don’t publish combatant or casualty lists, fighters wear civilian clothes, live in family homes, and Gazans are instructed to conceal combatant deaths. 3/
