As a daughter and a politician, I enjoyed reading the book “Pranab - my father”. It has insightful lessons for all those who are avid followers of Indian history and politics. The statesmanship of Shri Pranab Mukherjee and his meticulous nature of noting down even the minutest of all details is striking.
What also stands out is the anti-democratic nature of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty both inside and outside their political party. Internally, they never accepted anyone who had a mind of their own. Externally, they despise anyone who is even seen as a slight challenge.
Thus, I decided to send this book to some ardent Congressmen and women, who are still living with the motto of 'Family First, Family Only'- may it broaden their perspective.
Shri @kcvenugopalmp ji, I hope you will revisit your party’s constitution after reading this excerpt as I send you the copy of a book that speaks volumes about the one of the most loyal Congress leaders.
While you continue to tutor the clown prince of the grand old party, I hope you have taught him the difference between am & pm. Shri @Jairam_Ramesh ji, have a good read of the book!
Sycophancy in the Congress didn’t do justice even to Pranab Da. Have a good reading time Shri @PChidambaram_IN ji.
Rao’s estrangement with 10 Janpath was so absolute that…. Hope you have a good reading time @adhirrcinc dada!
They always chose someone who would never challenge their authority….
@ShashiTharoor ji, I hope you will surely have a good read over the weekend.
He has all the arrogance of Gandhi Nehru lineage without their political acumen. Hope you can someday agree with what Pranab da had written about, @Pawankhera ji!
Even Indira Gandhi agreed and appreciated the contribution of Savarkar ji. I hope you will read this book at ease after this Parliament session ends, Shri @digvijaya_28 ji!
