🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸 Zdravo!
28 songs are competing to win the Serbian ticket to Malmö for #Eurovision2024 Will one of the most succesful new national finals continue to produce great songs? It's time for my #PZE24 songwriter deep dive🕸️📊🧵
#Eurovision
Nemanja Radošević – Jutra bez tebe
A regular in Serbian NF's during the late 00's, Saša Milošević Mare is back! She previously wrote ESC-entries "Molitva" and "Ljubav je svuda". Can her song make it to the big stage for a third time?
Bojana x David – No No No
Having represented Serbia at the Junior Eurovision stage, Bojana is aiming for the real deal together with David. She is helped by recent PZE22/23 entrant Boris Subotić and Violeta Mahjlovska, who was involved with an entry back in 2009
Marko Mandić – Dno
Making his PZE debut, Marko's song is written by Nemanja Filipovic, who also wrote the Serbian JESC-entry in 2020 and the infectious "Kolači" for Beovizija the same year
Dušan Kurtić – Zbog tebe živim
Ivan Kurtić participated three years in a row from 2018-20. Now he is taking the back seat with (his brother?) Dušan Kurtić performing
Milan Bujaković – Moje tvoje
Major intersection here! Milan himself competed in 2020 and 2023, Maya Sar was the Bosnian representative at Eurovision 2012, Petar Pupić previously collabed with Milan for "Niti", and Lionel Lombard had a song, "The Rush", in the Lithuanian NF in 19
Kat Dosa – Tajni začin
MAJOR BOP ALERT. Slobodan and Bojana reached second place with Sara Jo's "Muškarčina" in 2022. Can they reach the top of the podium this time?
Filarri – Ko je ta žena?
Filarri makes his comeback after reaching the final last year, but failing to get any points in the competitive lineup. His song was written by 2020 fourth-placer Andrija Jo
Kabala – Vavilon
Boris Krstajić has been a frequent songwriter in Serbian selections, is this his time for a major breakthrough?
Martina Vrbos – Da me voliš
Martina competed in the Croatian NF in 2010, barely missing out on the final. Will she be able to shine 14 years later across the border?
Ivana Vladović – Jaka
Ivana tried back in 2019 and 2022. Now she is back for her third attempt with a song written by Milan SEVDAHBABY Stanković. Eurofans will know him from representing Serbia with "Ovo je Balkan" and a platinum bob, but he has written multiple other entries too
Lena Kovačević – Zovi me Lena
Two giants of Macedonian Eurovision meet again. Darko Dimitrov has written a long list of songs that reached the ESC stage while Robert Bilbilov has also made a name for himself with songs for North Macedonia. Vladimir Danilović makes his fourth try
Zejna – Najbolja
Having competed in both previous editions of PZE, Zejna is back for the third time in a row. She reached the final with both "Nema te" and fan favourite "Rumba", can she manage to top both?
Konstrakta – Novo, bolje
A name that needs no introduction, Konstrakta achieved Serbia's best result since 2012 with her avant garde banger "In Corpore Sano". Again her song was cowritten by former Zemlja Gruva bandmate Milovan Bošković. Can she take Serbia to new hights?
Zorja – Lik u ogledalu
Zorja reached third place in 2022, behind Konstrakta and Sara Jo. Her self-titled Balkan ballad won many eurofans over back then. Will she be able to beat Konstrakta and the team behind "Muškarčina", and take the win this time?
Yanx – Kolo
Having competed four times previously, Yanx is a true veteran of Serbian NF's. Her big voice has served her well, but she has never quite been able to truly succeed. Is the fifth time the charm?
Chai – Sama
Ahmed "Rap Gorilla" Hajdarović had a good debut with Dzipsij's "Greh" last year. This year he is back with two songs, including "Sama". Will it share the succes of "Greh"?
Durlanski – Muzika
Another Rap Gorilla entry, this time the song is cowritten by Aleksandar Ilić. A songwriter with the same name was involved with multiple Yugoslav NF-entries back in the 70's, but I have not been able to either confirm or deny whether this is the same person
Nadia – Sudari
Last year Nadia was able to make the top half of the final with her pop/rock entry "Devojka tvog dečka". Is second time the charm for this young singer-songwriter?
Džordži – Luna park
Slavko Milovanović had two entries in the shortly lived Montevizija revival in 2018/19. Last year he achieved succes in PZE with "Od jastuka do jastuka" reaching sixth place in a stacked lineup. Can his song do even better this time?
Filip Baloš – Duga je noć
A big fan favourite last year, Filip Baloš makes his comeback aiming for the top place. Will his song captivate the fan base again and propel him to Malmö?
Teya Dora – Ramonda
One of the biggest names in the lineup Teya Dora makes her PZE-debut with another song written by Andrija Jo. While this is her first time as a performer, Teya was also involved last year, writing Filarri's "Posle mene"
And that's all. The seven remaining songs do not seem to have any connections to previous entries. I'll leave you with this plot of all 96 PZE entries so far

A quick note:
As I source my database from different sources, different translitterations have to be harmonized for me to make these connections. Due to that some connections may have been missed. Please let me know if non-Ukrainian transliterations have been used in the plots!
Molodi - My Sea
The Mariupol group is making their Vidbir debut with the help of one of last year's winning songwriters, Anton Chilibi. On top of his "Teresa & Maria" involvement, Anton also wrote Carpetman's "Endless Fight"
EUROSONG 2025 SONGWRITER DEEP DIVE 🇧🇪🕸️📊

Leez - Perfectly Imperfect
Perfectly Imperfect was written by Will Knox, who was involved with Eurovision 2019 winner "Arcade", in addition to a few NF entries. Also in the mix is Loek van der Grinten, who helped write Netherlands 2023 entry "Burning Daylight"
Le Manou - Fille à papa
One of five songs written by Willem Vanderstichele, who is truly making an impactful debut in the Eurovision world

Klavdia - Asteromata
One of the two big favourites, Asteromata was written by the writing team Arcade, who were also involved with Stefania's 2020 and 2021 entries. Will they be able to add another Eurovision participation to their resumé?
Constantinos Christoforou and Kostas Karafotis - Paradeisos
Constantinos is no stranger to Eurovision, having represented his native Cyprus three times (1996/2002/2005). Will he be able to at a Greek participation to his list? Rodoula was involved with two Cypriot entries as well
MALTA EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2025 SONGWRITER DEEP DIVE 🇲🇹🕸️📊
Another year, another MESC. Like previous years, the song list is filled with connections to previous entries, with not a single song being disconnected. Let's take a closer look! (a thread 🧵)
Adria Twins - Qalb ma' Qalb
A collaboration between regular Maltese writers Sebastian Pritchard-James (Loop) and Joe Julian Farrugia (We Are More) and Swedish writer Melanie Wehbe (Move/Sand/Love Is Forever)
Dario Bezzina ft. Joseph Il-Muni - Għażliet
Dario's fifth attempt, and the second with the help of mega-writer Phillip Vella (7th wonder/Desire/Breathlessly/etc.). Could this be Phillip's 7th Eurovision entry?
