THREAD Some bullet points on Russia's missile attacks.
1) Stop talking about "it costed Russia $50,000,000" or smth like that. Most missiles have already been produced decades ago, their usage costs nothing. New missiles cost much less than their list price (which is either...
...export price, or official list price Russian MoD pays the producing company, which belongs to state, so this money is mostly virtual). Russia's costs for the attacks are still low, mostly reduced to maintenance costs, fuel costs, and salaries for the pilots, tech crews etc 2/x
2) Russia used Western reluctance to perfect its attacks. RU stockpiled missiles (the new ones), bought drones, tested different approaches vs. Ukraine's air defence (routes, waves, jamming, combinations, etc.) Now they use the stockpiles AND knowledge. They got time for that 3/x
3) With very low costs (see bulletpoint 1) for attacks, and time and de facto Western permission for months-long tests how to penetrate Ukraine's air defence, now Russia hopes to deplete Ukraine's AD missiles stockpiles, sending record numbers of aerial targets since a week. 4/x
4) Russia knows that all these tests of Ukraine's air defence, and terror raids vs. civilians will not result in any consequence for Russian military targets or infrastructure in Russia, not talking about bombing of Russian cities. Imaging Ukraine hit Moscow with 100 missiles 5/x
As no retaliation hitting Russia's sovereign territory happens, Russia sees the costs of its attacks excitingly low. The fighting takes place in Ukraine, even hits on Russian Navy in Crimea are in Ukraine. In the worst case for Russia it just gives destroyed areas to Ukraine 6/x
5) Now imagine what will happen when this war will be "frozen", or even when Ukraine returns its territory - but will not reach full demilitarisation of Russia. Russia will simply send a hundred of missiles on the heads of Ukrainians every week. Even if 100% intercepted 7/x
...it will steal several points of Ukraine's GDP p.a. for air defence, will slow down Ukraine's growth (no investments), will stop return of Ukrainian refugees from Europe, will steal years of human lives spent in fear. And NATO will do even less than now, as "it's not a war" 8/x
6) So the only feasible solution for this problem would be not only a militarily defeat of Russia including destruction of Russia's military infrastructure on Russia's sovereign territory. This would be only the first step. The second step will be demilitarisation of Russia. 9/x
But what is most important (as we know that demilitarised aggressors tend to rebuild their armies to attack again), the third step would be Ukraine's NATO membership, developing+producing enough of long-range weapons, and abandoning taboos on swift devastating strikes vs. enemies
Everyone who would like to blackmail us with threatening of war must know that we would not think twice before shooting down their warplanes which violate our airspace, or erase their military harbours, energy hubs, or airfields. Hotlines from the Cold War were good as much as BOTH sides wished to preserve peace. They do not work now, as Russia uses communication not to reduce risks of global war, but to fuel it, and to make it possible, in a sick hope to win it.

In Russo-Ukrainian war, battlefield is so saturated by drones, that nobody in the U.S. imagined before. We need to fully review our doctrines, say U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. "Franky" @JaharaMatisek. "Things which worked before, do not work anymore". Watch the full interview ⬇️

Well, the ultimate goal of the smearing campaign against me is now obvious: its anonymous authors target (as I suspected) drones purchases for Ukrainian army. They lie that "there are no online proofs of transfer of drones" and claim that drones are "ridiculously" ineffective /1Image
Image
Anyone who would search through my twitter with search request "drones" or "brigade", would have found tons of evidences. /2

Why do you think I have this banner of the 47th brigade as a present from brave soldiers of the brigade, signed by its artillerists, with best wishes to Serhij Sumlenny? Or these letters of gratitude from the 28th mechanized brigade, or from the Kharkiv city defence HQ? /3

There is a dirty defamation campaign running against me on Polish twitter. It is full of direct lies and dirty fact twisting. I tried to address the anonymous author, but as they did not respond, and the campaign is pushed to 200K+ view already, I need to debunk it. THREAD: 1/x Image
(As I am in Kyiv, delivering drones for 🇺🇦 army, it is not the quite right time, but I will do my best). First, the reason of the campaign. As you can see in the initial posting, it is because I have stressed the danger of closure of English-speaking broadcaster @TVPWorld_com 2/x Image
@TVPWorld_com The author tries to present me as a "TVP" defender, which I am not. I purely addressed @donaldtusk with all respect, and stressed the importance that Poland has a strong intl. voice, and this is @TVPWorld_com. Many respected experts said the same, all with respect to Poland! 3/x

Dear Poland, prepare for impact. It looks like Russia and Lukashenko are ready to attack Poland with orchestrated migrants waves again. A "Turkish" airline "Southwind" offers flights to Minsk for under €200. "Southwind" got its planes and personnel from a RUSSIAN airline... 1/x Image
..."Northwind" (btw., the Russians called their logistics operations for the military invasion of Ukraine in 2014 "Northwind"). According to Belarusian investigative journalist Anton Motolko, creation of "Southwind" was purely a special operation in FSB-style. No wonder... 2/x
...Russia will try to bring more irregular migrants to Minsk, in order to push them towards the Polish and Lithuanian borders. RU hopes, this time it will work, and thousands of desperate men, pushed towards the EU border by Russian lies violence, will create a crisis in the EU.

Really scary first steps by the new Polish government which decided not only to shut down @TVPWorld_com English-speaking TV Channel, but also to send police into its studio. TVP World was the only influential voice of Central Europe amid world media. My solidarity with its team. Image
.@TVPWorld_com is a separate entity and is not to be confused with TVP Polish-speaking channel. Starting from February 2022, @TVPWorld_com provided unbiased and extensive coverage of the Russian invasion. @TVPWorld_com also hosts the only Belarusian free TV media Belsat.
@TVPWorld_com Shutting down a media with global influence which delivers important Central European perspective to viewers worldwide? While the Russians, the Chinese, and other hostile nations invest billions in undermining Europe? Really, @donaldtusk? Please, reconsider! #SolidarityTVPWorld

Some thoughts (pure speculations) on #Navalny death rumours
1) Russia's recent history shows, deaths of (or attempted assassinations on) political persons never triggered mass protests. I can only remember unrests in Moscow after arrest of Navalny in early 2010s, that's it /1
2) Of course, we shouldn't extrapolate, as Russia's system is overloaded, so any event can be a trigger. But I would be cautions with calling this one it;
3) Moreover, I am not sure if Navalny's name can mobilise people in RU. His poisoning and his arrest did not. Why death? /2
4) FBK has already found a comfortable way of existing with Navanly in jail. They will find a way to flourish with him in grave;
5) Navalny's decision to come to RU was based (my pure speculation) on idea, nobody would dare to attack him after what happened. A miscalculation. /3
