Guys, Russia releases more FPV footage than Ukraine. Stop spreading this horse shit that they don't. What, you only look at footage that contains vehicles? That's a you problem, not a problem with the data.
What, you only look at footage that is geolocated? Again, that's a you problem, not a problem with the data.
If you actually think Ukraine releases more footage than Russia, its because you're looking at biased content. Full stop. Its just not true, russia releases more.
Its just so fucking funny to me when every single day I am here logging the data, and ever single day Russia has more than 50% of the logs, and then I see people on the twitters claiming Ukraine releases more. wtf? where does that come from? Honestly? Wtf.
I don't know how else to address this. It is laughably naïve and delusional to think Ukraine releases more than Russia.
"then why does ukraine damage more vehicles on your list" because Russia attacks infantry? They destroy defensive positions. They destroy houses. They destroy basements. You know, the shit you do to capture ground. WTF is your measuring stick here?
Do you really think vehicles are the only target on the battlefield? Or even the biggest target? If your goal is to capture a town, do you really care if you destroy a vehicle, or do you care that you destroyed the defensive lines controlling the town? Use some common sense.
Do you think people are going to repost "man, russia hit this bunker 55 times today" on twitter? People post on twitter to get clicks and engagement. People don't post that shit. They post "LOL THE VEHICLE EXPLODED" Hitting a pile of sticks 40 times isn't reshared as much.
I mean, do you want me to share some intensely boring footage of attacking a pile of sticks over and over again? I can if you want to. Its boring as hell. I just log it and move on. But if you really want to see that footage I can show you.
I mean, Russia doesn't need to have more FPV drone than Ukraine. We could be manufacturing more. They are cheap and easy to manufacture. You need two things: purchase orders and public will. We could easily out produce Russia. So if you want that to change, its not hard.
here is an example.
You see them systematically dismantle positions with drones until there is nothing left to defend. And then shortly later you note that position is in russian control. Its the reality of how drones are used. Not as sexy as hitting a tank.
This is the rational way for Russia to use drones. Ukraine doesn't value land and positions, it values soldiers. Ukraine doesn't have the ammo to repel attacks with artillery alone, they need well made defensive positions. If you dismantle that, Ukraine is forced to withdraw.
Russia relies on vehicles, it is logical to target them and destroy them faster than they can be replenished. Ukraine is willing to trade ground to cause this attrition. Both sides are using the drones in accordance to their priorities and needs.
Frankly, if Ukraine had more ammo, they'd have more options. Especially if they didn't waste ammo on stupid counter offensives. Ukraine needs more ammo, especially mortars which can be used to repel Russian infantry assaults.
Ukraine also uses drones on infantry, obviously. But its different in the way it happens. And Russia goes for vehicles as well. Neither side exclusively does one or the other, but Russia does way more of this systematic destruction of defensive positions.
You can look at these videos and say any individual drone might not do much damage, but when you see the position a day or two or three later you see the thing disintegrates. There was one position they hit with drones consistently for weeks until it collapsed
and the collapse was captured by a drone, the ukrainian soldiers inside had to leave and abandoned it, and while they were walking away they were ambushed and surrendered as pow.
and that was a poured concrete bunker btw

Ukraine needs, minimum, 1 million mortar rounds per month. This is bare minimum to conduct their necessary combat operations. Realistically, 10-12 million would be the necessary amount. Per month.
The failure to provide this many rounds isn’t only an issue for Ukraine, its an issue for every country. How does any NATO country plan on supplying their own country in a war if they cannot produce this many rounds? Is NATO even prepared to fight a ground war at all?
Producing mortar ammo should be the absolute barest of bare minimums for any military. On the same tier as producing rifle ammo and hand grenades.
Watching the cluster bombs Russia now drops is infuriating to me. It highlights the failure of the west to supply the necessary air defense and deterrence, and it shows how the west is constantly escalating this war by refusing to supply these weapons.
Air defense for cities is nice, I guess. But air defense for the military matters more. This means fighter jets. And it means deterrance. By deterrence, I mean long range missiles that can strike deep into Russia and destroy their air force. Failing to supply this is escalatory.
The people who claim they want peace should be the ones clamoring the loudist to supply Ukraine with as many long range weapons as possible as quickly as possible to destroy every single russian air base within Russia. Certainly all of them west of the Urals.
I am writing this in the interest of those who have not followed this story today.
Yesterday, there was a rocket strike reported in Zarichne, which is near Komyshuvakha which is southeast of Zaporizhzia. I marked it on my map yesterday.
I have been saying this all year, every since January, and even before then: Ukraine should not perform any major offensive actions until Russia is sufficiently attritted in terms of armored equipment and artillery.
What is the purpose of defense?
Is it to hold onto land? NO
Is it to hold a position? NO
The purpose of defense is to create the conditions necessary for a successful offensive.
You should not leave a defensive stance until and unless you can perform a successful offensive operation. This year, and I mean at literally any part of this year, Ukraine was never in any position for a successful offensive operation, and they never should have attempted one
I was tracking a lot of other stuff today putting off reading the news because I knew how awful of a day it was. I knew Zaporizhzhia was hit by six missiles. But in my hiding from news, I had no idea the full extent of how depressing the day was..
There were dozens of airstrikes throughout Kherson oblast, killing numerous civilians. Six bombs were dropped on Novoberyslav, where a 63 year old man died from the blast. Five more hit Kozatske. At least one hit Vesele.
I'm told six hit olhivka. I could geolocate 4 of them, but the other 2 were exceptionally low quality video. There were stirkes on Prydniprovske and between Prydniprovske and Pishchanivka (which excited people who yell of Ukrainian river crossings).
The reason Ukraine needs more Patriot batteries and the latest, modern F-16. These are the airstrikes, just the reported ones btw, for September. There are 840 markers, many of which represent multiple airstrikes.
