Copilot has a new feature that I love.

It's called Notebook and it's completely free.

This allows you to test your prompts for GPT-4.

Here's exactly what it's used for and how to use it: Image
1. Access Notebook

- Go to copilot .microsoft .com

- Select the mode you want (I recommend "Creative")

- In the top menu, click on "Notebook".

Important notes:

1. The mode you select seems to influence the mode used by Notebook. Select Creative or Precise for GPT-4.

2. You have a limit of 18,000 characters, unlike chat, which has a limit of 4,000.
2. Write your prompt

- Test your 1st prompt on the left.

- Send it to see the result with GPT-4 on the right.

Notebook makes it easy to test your prompts without having to create a new conversation each time!
3. Fine-tune your prompt

- Make changes to your prompt

- And send the new version for comparison

This is a huge time-saver, rather than starting from scratch every time in a chat.
Bonus: export

As with Copilot's chat function, you can export the result.

Click on the arrow to download in Word, PDF or Text format.
Having an interface to test and fine-tune your prompts is great:

You don't have to waste time creating a new conversation when you want to create the perfect prompt!

New amazing use case for Copilot.

Use GPT-4 Turbo for free to transform a video.

So you can write any new content from YouTube.

Here's the workflow and the prompt you can copy: Image
1. Open Copilot on Edge

If you don't already have Edge...

I've shown where to find Copilot in my previous guide:

2. Find a YouTube video

- Go to YouTube and find a video in your topic

- Open Copilot and click on the "Generate video summary"

- Copilot will summarize the video in detail

Disclaimer:

We will not copy the content of the video.

It'll be the starting point of the writing.

And I strongly advise you to credit the original author in all cases.

I haven't done a classic Google search in weeks.

Now I only use the AI version of Google.

No need to search page by page as the answer is immediately there.

And you can even continue the conversation, here's how: Image
1. Activate Google SGE

As a reminder, you can activate generative AI on Google Labs:

- Go to labs .google

- Click on "Get started" in the "Search Powered by Generative AI" category

- Activate "SGE, generative AI in Search".

Note: if you're outside the US like me, a VPN may be necessary.
2. Perform your search

Search on Google Chrome desktop or Google mobile app.

The AI-generated answer appears above the Google results.

Just click on "Show more" to see the full answer.

We're definitely entering the era of the AI browser.

Microsoft Edge Copilot can now view any web page.

It can analyze and understand what you see.

I'll show you where this new feature is and how to use it: Image
1. Open Copilot Microsoft Edge

- Edge is available natively on Windows.

- If you're using macOS, you can download it for free.

Then open Copilot on any web page by clicking on the icon in the top right-hand corner.

Note: I advise you to select Creative mode to use GPT-4 (Turbo) by default.
2. Add your screen to Copilot

To enable Copilot to see your web page:

- Click on the icon at the bottom of the chatbot

- Click to capture the whole screen

- Or select only the part you're interested in

The image is automatically added to Copilot and will serve as context for your next prompt!

OK big news for Microsoft Copilot.

It now uses GPT-4 Turbo for free.

This means you no longer need ChatGPT Plus to use the latest OpenAI model.

Here's how to check if you have access and what it changes: Image
1. Check access

GPT-4 Turbo seems to be gradually rolling out.

To check whether you have access, follow these simple steps:

- Go to copilot .microsoft .com

- Press Ctrl+U (Cmd+U) to display the page code

- Press Ctrl+F and type "gpt4t".

If you see GPT-4 Turbo mentioned, you have access to it.

Note: this is not an "official" method, but it seems to be reliable.
2. Response time

In addition to other improvements, GPT-4 Turbo has a faster response time.

So all your interactions with Copilot will be smoother.

Wow I'm really impressed.

I've installed the new AI model Phi-2 from Microsoft on my laptop.

And it's surprisingly powerful for its small size.

You can run it for free and offline as it's open-source.

Here's how you can use this privacy-friendly model: Image
1. Download LM Studio

It's free, open-source software that lets you run any open-source AI model.

Go to , then download and install the one for your OS. lmstudio.ai
2. Get Phi-2

Search for "phi-2" on the home page.

Select "TheBloke/phi-2-GGUF" and, in the list on the right, download the Q6_K or Q4_K_S version.

The Q4 version is lighter and faster, but has a little more loss than the Q6.

It allows you to write better prompts easily.

I show you how to use it now: Image
1. Access sample prompts

- Go to bard .google .com

- The sample prompts are displayed on the homepage

- They are divided into 3 categories: Understand / Create / Explore
2. Customize a prompt

- Click on a sample prompt

- Bard automatically imports it into the text field

- Modify the elements in blue before sending

Of course, you can also modify other parts of the prompt to suit your needs.
