A market in Russia-occupied Ukrainian Donetsk being hit today looks like a 💯Russia-staged provocation:
1) There is no history of UA hitting civilian targets;
2) RU FM Lavrov arrives to the UN this week, RU needs arguments against ams deliveries to UA;
3) Compare Bilhorod case ⬇️
3.1) In Dec 2023, Russia shelled its city of Bilhorod with artillery shells, a Christmas market was hit, multiple civilians killed, incl kids. Russia blamed Ukraine for using attack drones to hit the city. But the photos clearly showed traces of artillery shelling ⬇️ Image
3.2) So as the next step, the Russians said, the Ukrainians hit Bilhorod with Western(Czechia)-supplied "Vampire" MLRS rockets. The problem: Vampire have double as short range, can not reach Bilhorod. Maria Zakharova from Russian FM still requested a UN SC meeting. ⬇️
4) Russia has a long history of shelling cities in Donbas which are under RU occupation to blame Ukraine for that. Already in 2014, RU has even acknowledged it officially - one of RU commanders who was purged after a conflict, was trialed for this. .fakty.com.ua/ru/ukraine/201…
5) Summary: ignore what Russia says, it is guaranteed a lie. Russia has a decades-long history of killing own people to blame others. And people from Donetsk are not even being seen as their "own", they are nothing but slaves for the Russians.

A THREAD on Germany's complicated and often dark relations with the ethnic heritage of its citizens, including legal consequences for those so to say "not aryan" until now.
First, some context: hundreds of thousands demonstrate today in Germany against the far-right #AfD party /1
This is a reaction on a leak published by a German media "Correctiv". According to Correctiv, the #AfD reps plus some business tycoons held a meeting discussing how to force those ethnically non-German people living in Germany to leave the country. /2 correctiv.org/aktuelles/neue…
According to Correctiv, they also discussed how to force naturalised German citizens to leave Germany, what is clearly against the law. This triggered protest (what is good), but as a naturalised German, I wonder how less those who protest against AfD know about acting laws /3

Mass protests in Bashkortostan after a Bashkir activist defending Bashkir language and holy sites was sentenced to four years in prison. The development, which too many in the West do not want to know about, focusing on Russian opposition's celebrities:
Read how Russia colonised occupied nations, how colonisation continues until today, and why it can blow up Russian empire, no matter what cheer leaders of Russian Moscow "opposition" tell you:

In Russia-occupied Bashkortostan, brave Bashkir protestors clash with Russian occupation forces amid -15 Celsius, 5 Fahrenheit . When have you seen the Russians clashing with the police last time?

A Westerner: But Russia was so peaceful all the time!
Russia's greatest poet Alexander Pushkin: “The Circassians hate us. We pushed them from their comfortable grass plains, pillaged their villages, destroyed the whole tribes” /1

A Westerner: But no genocides by Russia!
General Skobelev: “The tranquility of Asia directly depends on the number of the people we massacred there. We killed 2000 Turkmen in Geok-Tepe, those who survived will never forget it. With our sabres, we cut everybody we could reach” /2
A Westerner: But not like the Brits!
Russian military geographer Venyukhov: "“We are not the Englishmen who try not to mix in India with the local race. Our power is different; we assimilate the local nations, in friendly fusion with them".
A Westerner: uff, thank you. /3

THREAD Ukrainian soldier Olexiy Onulya spent 9 months in Russian captivity. In his interview to Ukrainian @TextyOrgUa he described routine torture he experienced and observed. I publish his main messages to demonstrate what terror will go on if Ukraine "freezes" the war. /1 Image
Olexiy Onulya was a kickboxer from Chernihiv, a beautiful Ukrainian city in the north of the country, close to both Belarus and Russia. Within 9 months in Russian captivity, he was routinely tortured with batons, electricity, and hunger. /2
Olexiy was captured on March 9th 2022 close to Chernihiv. His unit faced a massive Russian attack with dozens of tanks and IFVs. He and his comrades destroyed multiple tanks, but soon were out of ammunition. "A Russian shell came, I lost my tooth, my face was bleeding" /3

Some comments on this interesting stats on the numbers of Russian missiles/drones launches on Ukraine, and the efficiency of Ukrainian air defence.

1) Modern Russia-developed and Russia-produced X101/555/55 and Kalibr missiles get intercepted in larger numbers. 1/x ⬇️ Image
2) Zero intercept rate of Onix (anti-ship missile) is explained by a close-proximity launch, they used to target Odesa harbor, and the anti-missile defence cannot catch them, flying close to sea surface from a short range;
3) No idea what explains 50-years old X22 success 2/x ⬇️ Image
...maybe they also get fired on targets direct at the border or sea shore.
4) Iskander-M (ballistic) and Kinzhal (aero ballistic) can be perfectly intercepted by Patriots, but have almost 100% success rate when fired at regions not protected by Patriots. 3/x ⬇️ Image

THREAD Some bullet points on Russia's missile attacks.
1) Stop talking about "it costed Russia $50,000,000" or smth like that. Most missiles have already been produced decades ago, their usage costs nothing. New missiles cost much less than their list price (which is either...
...export price, or official list price Russian MoD pays the producing company, which belongs to state, so this money is mostly virtual). Russia's costs for the attacks are still low, mostly reduced to maintenance costs, fuel costs, and salaries for the pilots, tech crews etc 2/x
2) Russia used Western reluctance to perfect its attacks. RU stockpiled missiles (the new ones), bought drones, tested different approaches vs. Ukraine's air defence (routes, waves, jamming, combinations, etc.) Now they use the stockpiles AND knowledge. They got time for that 3/x
