Social media platforms have been censoring and demonetizing Covid and LongCovid content for a long time. Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. 🧵
YouTube has been demonetizing videos that mention Covid & LongCovid for years now. Content containing the words or topics “pandemic” & “Covid,” among a long list of other forbidden phrases, are demonetized & buried.
It seems in the effort to address misinformation on social media platforms, there was a bit of an overcorrection & they’re erasing real science and authentic anecdotes too. Whether this is deliberate is anyone’s guess.
There’s a lot of censorship in general though. coviddatadispatch.com/2023/08/20/the…
Covid data dispatch: The NIH says it “inappropriately” censored Long COVID patients on social media Miles W. Griffis Miles W. Griffis 5 months ago
And speaking of censorship, this is shocking too. These aren’t random people on social media, but patients’ families. This is sick.
“The Post report said other Twitter users had their tweets flagged or accounts suspended for sharing data on childhood deaths from COVID-19, posting links to articles from scientific journals that warn of the dangers of the virus for children and pregnant women, and studies about the impact of long COVID.” wsws.org/en/articles/20…WSWS: Twitter labelled scientific reporting of COVID-19 as “misinformation” Kevin Reed August 27, 2022
“Email exchanges between Rob Flaherty, the White House’s director of digital media, and social-media executives prove the companies put Covid censorship policies in place in response to relentless, coercive pressure from the White House—not voluntarily.” wsj.com/articles/white…
WSJ: The White House Covid Censorship Machine Newly released emails show how officials coerce social-media companies to toe the government line. By Jenin Younes and Aaron Kheriaty Jan. 8, 2023 at 5:23 pm ET
So we’re left with puzzled doctors & nurses on video platforms talking about all the unusual organisms surging that usually only affect IC people, all the premature death, cardiovascular/neurological complications, cancers & rare diseases, but no one connects any of it to Covid.

Rotten Mango just covered the Lacey Fletcher death. She was medically neglected by her parents. She died after 12 years fused to a sofa in Louisiana. She died of sepsis & SHE HAD COVID when she died. The word “Covid” was BLEEPED because most platforms censor/demonetize it.
This BLATANT censorship has been ongoing for several years now, and its still occurring even during the second largest Covid wave on record, as over 2,000 Americans are die each week & COUNTLESS are disabled.
I made a thread about this yesterday, but the Rotten Mango episode really illustrated how deeply this censorship goes. Content creators can’t even SAY THE WORDS “pandemic” or “Covid/LongCovid.”

It has been a week since my first kid went down. He had Covid in September. He didn’t have fever or a cough, just a VERY runny nose. The other two have fever & HORRIBLE coughs. Our 6-year old cat did not survive the 4th round of Covid to hit the house. It’s bleak.
I know MULTIPLE people who lost young & healthy pets after Covid hit the house, but our pets never had problems until this round. The cat was very sickly (like my kids) & behaving strangely (neurological) but he disappeared before I could take him to the vet. It’s worrisome.

We are here.

“We can’t talk about how we got to total state abandonment on COVID without discussing the billions of dollars that went into disinformation campaigns, pushing people to think of public health as an individual responsibility.”
The Gauntlet: Institutional COVID denial has killed public health as we knew it. Prepare to lose several centuries of progress. Public health cannot be individualized. Abandoning collective approaches to disease mitigation is a recipe for disaster. JULIA DOUBLEDAY JAN 24, 2024
“This victory is so thorough that many prominent leftists and progressive organizations remain silent as workers are continually sickened and disabled with zero legal recourse.” The Gauntlet: This propagandist narrative aimed to achieve, not just a practical outcome, but a philosophical, political victory. It aimed to individualize a collective good that has been entrenched as a basic human right in rich societies for at least a century. It aimed to reframe disease control as something that should be a choice for each person, rather than a publicly funded collective effort. This victory is so thorough that many prominent leftists and progressive organizations remain silent as workers are continually sickened and disabled with zero legal recourse. Speaking to them,...
This, this, THIS!

“Yes, masks and all other precautions are demonized to the point of being framed as indicative of mental illness, including on the left.

But we also see this attitude bleeding into disease control generally.” The Gauntlet: That’s why we need a strong, institutional response including new ventilation and filtration standards that would immediately and significantly reduce virus in the air and airborne viral spread generally. Let’s talk about the short and long-term social outcomes of COVID normalization. Yes, masks and all other precautions are demonized to the point of being framed as indicative of mental illness, including on the left. But we also see this attitude bleeding into disease control generally. Another reason the public appears more willing- perhaps even eager- to spread disease- ha...

I’m realizing by mass reporting the impersonator account, my account is throttled. It’s as if this account & I are one. Their posts are returned in search along with mine. My account is throttled when they’re mass reported. That’s rather clever. I wonder if that’s the intent.
Ever since people have been mass reporting that account, my posts aren’t being widely seen. Now I’m beginning to wonder if mass reporting was playing right into their hands. I’m probably going to just step back for a while. It’s all a little too much with the plague in the house.
If you look at the threads I’ve made yesterday compared to the ones I made two days ago, the difference is very obvious.
