The supplement industry is going more and more nuts.

So here are some relatively safe supplements that won’t break the bank and can actually help you.

*Standard disclaimer that nothing in here is a substitute for medical advice*

Before we begin, you need to pay close attention to the following:

When it comes to ANY, supplement, some people will negatively react to it.

Now this does not necessarily mean that the compound itself is bad (given that its quality is high and that the consumer has the sense to cycle it).
What it means is that it can exacerbate pre-existing conditions.

If you have mast cell issues for example, then you can very easily negatively react to magnesium citrate or gluconate due to the way that they are made.

Does this mean that “OH MY GOD, MAGNESIUM IS SO BAD. NEVER TAKE IT”.

Obviously not. What it means is that you should prioritize forms like taurate or glycinate.

The adverse effects are an endless game.

Let’s say that your gut lining is a mess, then even taurate could have negative effects due to the effects that will have on bile.
So supplements are tools and they will not move the middle if other lifestyle factors are not set in place.

Also, always CYCLE supplements unless you have a reason not to (certain mutations and so on).

I like carnitine for example a lot.
But it will inevitably affect the thyroid in a negative way if one consumes it for months on end.

Most simple study:

This is true with all potent supplements.
Reishi and lion’s for example will be mentioned, BUT, they can create a lot of issues if they are not cycled.

Actual "supplements" that everyone should take before considering the following include:
-8 hours of deep sleep
-Lifting
-Walking
-Grounding
-Sunlight
-Proper nutrition
-Saunapubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15591013/
Then when it comes to supplements as we’ve stated multiple times, quality matters quite a lot.

Avoid any supplement with the following additives:
1. Silicon dioxide
2. Titanium dioxide
3. Gums
4. Artificial colorings such as red 40, blue 2, yellow 5
5. Polyethylene
6. Magnesium silicate
7. Hydrogenated oils

Number 1: Magnesium glycinate

This form is recommended in particular because for most people it will be the safest form.

I personally like taurate but it can upset the stomach of some people for example (as stated in the beginning).

Magnesium is obviously crucial for our health.

It is involved in over 3700 enzymatic reactions in the body, lowers SHBG, increases free testosterone, optimizes GABA, improves sleep, protects the heart, helps us utilize vitamin D better, it is a crucial calcium regulator and protects our nervous system.
Number 2: Grass fed beef gelatin.

This is a great and pretty cheap "amino acid supplement".

Adding some quality gelatin in your daily diet has such as high ROI.

For example, it's a great source of glycine which is crucial for gut health and our nervous system, protects the liver, supports energy metabolism, protects against muscle loss, lowers stress hormones, protects the adrenals and lowers excessive serotonin.

So consider getting some quality gelatin.
Number 3: Brewer’s yeast

This is one of my favorite sources for thiamine (B1) and riboflavin (B2) both of which are crucial for things such as helping the body's cells change carbohydrates into energy, muscle contraction, conduction of nerve signals, are essential for the metabolism of pyruvate, boost CO2, lower lactic acid and a lot more.

Do not consume if you are struggling with pathogenic overgrowths*
Number 4: Cordyceps

This one is pretty expensive and if you are not competing in a sport or taking part in heavy duty training, try other ones first.

Cordyceps improves the way our bodies use oxygen, reduces bone loss, has anti-aging properties, improves kidney function, skyrockets libido and can help battle certain types of cancer.
Number 5: Shilajit ( the quality matters a lot)

The primary component of shilajit is an antioxidant called fulvic acid which may stop the abnormal build up of tau protein and reduce inflammation, potentially improving Alzheimer’s symptoms. It can also help heart diseases, low HDL, blood sugar, testosterone and sperm count.
Number 6: Pine pollen (the quality matters a lot as well)

Pine pollen is good for increasing testosterone WITHOUT increasing estrogen (lots of compounds that will increase testosterone will also increase estrogen) which means that it should NOT be consumed for weeks on end because it WILL tank your libido.

It also contains lots of vitamins and minerals, can help with blood sugar regulation, it may treat high cholesterol, it may be liver protective, it may treat fatigue and more.
Number 7: Taurine (if you were ex vegan).

Taurine accounts for even up to 60% of the free amino acid pool in our bodies, it’s a great antioxidant, crucial for heart health, GABA optimization, androgen optimization, it boosts dopamine, lower serotonin, supports energy metabolism, helps iron homeostasis, boosts cognitive functions and in general it is a great supplement especially for ex vegans.
If you were vegan*
Excuse the typo.

Number 8: Lion's mane.
As stated many times, this is probably the most underrated dietary source of potassium, manganese, zinc, thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin.

Lion's mane can help you with:
1. Brain health (one of the best supplemental foods for recovering from brain injuries)
2. Heart health
3. Improving your lipid panel
4. Blood sugar regulation
5. Ulcers
6. Depression
7. Anxiety
Number 9: Cistanche.

Some of its benefits include stuff such as: improved fertility (especially for men), increased testosterone, progesterone, anti-aging venefits, liver supportive, neuroprotective, Aphrodisiac, mild heart protective and blood sugar lowering properties, mild immune system supportive benefits, improved eye health, improve insulin resistance, can support a healthy gut microbiome, protects the testicles against xenoestrogen toxicity, great cognitive enhancer, immune system support, can help people with Alzheimer's disease and is pro dopamine.
Number 10: Myo-inositol.

This one can improve anxiety, balance blood pressure, improve PCOS and PMS, improve cognition, reduce OCD and manic episodes.

BUT, it interacts with diabetes medications, blood pressure medications, certain antidepressants and anxiety medications so consult your doc.
Number 11: Magnolia.

This one can have similar benefits to myo-inositol so i provide it as an alternative for the people who can't take the prior.

This one can reduce inflammation in the brain, improve anxiety issues and sleep quality, it could help women with menopause-related problems, it’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.

*Do not use if your gut is a mess.
Number 12: Bacopa.

It can reverse free radical related memory impairment, help people with epilepsy, reduce anxiety and help with ADHD.

Number 13: Bromantane

This one is bro dopamine AND pro GABA, it can lower pro inflammatory cytokines like IL-4, IL-6 and IL-7, can improve mental fatigue.

*Do not combine with MAO inhibitors.
Number 14: Catuaba bark

This probably is one of the most effective tools when it comes to inhibiting dopamine reuptake, it will also boost dopamine, reduce fatigue and improve libido.

Number 15: Mucuna pruniens

It is a good tool if you need to boost dopamine and LH levels fast, lower anxiety, improve your memory and it can even be a good tool for people with Parkinson’s.
Number 16: Methylene blue.

This is NOT a supplement but mentioned here since most think that it is.

Methylene blue increases NAD/NADH ratio, is a great antioxidant, it stimulates glucose metabolism and increases oxygen in brain cells.

It is a great short term tool in order to restore OXPHOS if one has the common sense to use a low dose, cycle it, use pharmacological grade and replenish B vitamins first.
Number 17: Lactoferrin.

A great tool to promote the growth of certain probiotic strains, while inhibiting the growth of pathogens, it can also help our immune system, bones, address unbound iron and help with bile metabolism among other things.

That being said, colostrum, would be preferable to straight up lactoferrin if you can digest dairy well.
Number 18: L carnitine.

L-carnitine plays an essential role in the transportation of fats to the mitochondria, helps reduce the build up of lactic acid, protects the heart, boosts fertility, improves cognitive performance, prevents muscle damage and can boost androgens.
Number 19: Tribulus Terrestris.

This one is a strong aphrodisiac, pro dopamine, it has mild heart protective and blood sugar lowering properties and mild immune system supportive benefits.

What about testosterone? Doesn’t tribulus increase testosterone?

No, not directly.

Trbulus can help you upregulate androgen receptors, DHEA and DHT.
That's pretty much it.

As you can tell, supplements are an ENDLESS game.
So fix your lifestyle first and do not try more than 3-5 supplements at a time.

If you liked this, leave a like.
Way more material in here.

Are you having trouble digesting dairy?
Here are four common reasons behind this.

Thread🧵Image
*Standard disclaimer that nothing in this thread should be used as a substitute for medical advice*

First things first.

When it comes to dairy and our ability to properly digest them, our heritage matters.
If you can't tolerate them even after taking into consideration what this thread discusses, then you can or should consider, alternative calcium sources such as:

-Stews/broths made from quality animals to not be exposed to their toxins.

-Eggshell powder (it might seem weird, but it works).

-Pearl powder (once again, it might seem weird and i get the point, but if you can find a quality pearl powder you can use it).

Free game: Common causes of acne.
Thread🧵Image
Disclaimer: Nothing in this thread should be used as a substitute for medical advice

Let’s get right into it.

Cause number 1: Poor gut health

Behind every person with chronic skin issues, there's almost always a messed up gut.

The gut-skin is something that you’re probably already familiar with so let’s just start by discussing how we can improve our gut health.

In case you are not familiar with it, this is something very easy that you can read.
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…Image
Things that harm our gut health include stuff/foods/habits such as:

-Stress
Stress severely decreases the expression of lysozyme which is responsible for killing bacteria (way more than even stomach acid).
So never eat when stressed.
-Birth control pills
One of the reasons why so many women face problems with yeast overgrowth is birth control pills.
Cut them out.
-Vegan diets (no bioavailable protein, a lot of enzyme inhibitors, not enough zinc, too many supplements etc)
-Lack of sleep
-Lack of movement
-Too many starches
-Things such as high fructose corn syrup
-NSAIDs
-Alcohol
-Hybridized grains
-Fats such as canola and so on (oxidized by default and if you know anything about the environment of the gut that’s a de*th sentence)
-PUFAs
-Tap water
-The over consumption of legumes, unsprouted nuts and seeds
-Food additives such as artificial colorings and thickeners
-Fragrances
-Cleaning products such as chlorine
-A1 dairy
-Most dairy products and never have raw milk with a full meal but only in between meals
-Supplement additives such as:
1. Titanium dioxide
2. Silicon dioxide
3. Red 40
4. Yellow 5
5. Blue 2

Summing up common causes of dry skin and what you can do about them.

Thread🧵Image
Standard disclaimer that nothing in this thread should be used as a substitute for medical advice.

Just as with any health issue, its “once in a blue moon” type of occurrence can be solved pretty quickly, but if it is a chronic one, it will take some time.

It’s not hard to understand this of course since our skin is an extremely complex system and when a system so complex becomes dysfunctional, this signals that multiple things are in a dysfunctional state.
So solving your dry skin could take some time but on the bright side, this journey will result in other health benefits most likely.

Regarding the places where skin dryness can appear, we will focus on things that mainly affect the face, scalp, neck and hands since these are the areas that most people will be interested in.

If you want good hormonal health, gut health, skin, productivity, mood, immune system and a lot more, you need to get quality sleep every day.

Here’s how you can do it.
Thread🧵Image
*Standard disclaimer that nothing in this thread should be used as substitute for medical advice*

Let's start with the boring stuff first.

Sleep is controlled by two processes: circadian and homeostatic.

During waking hours, the sleep drive gradually increases until it reaches a critical threshold.

This drive is referred to as homeostatic.Image
Circadian rhythm, on the other hand, is a signal generated by the master clock, the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) located in the anterior hypothalamus.

Circadian rhythm, derived from the Latin term “circa diem” which literally means “approximately one day” is the body's internal clock.Image

How to improve men's mood by addressing some biological factors.

Thread🧵Image
Standard disclaimer that nothing in here should be used as a substitute for medical advice and once again, this is about biology.

So more and more men are becoming depressed, are struggling with their moods and so on.

This is a real problem.

Now if that’s a mindset issue i can’t really help you, but if you haven’t tried addressing your biology as a way to improve this situation, you can keep in mind the following possible causes.
Number 1: Poor functioning dopaminergic system.

This is affected both by lifestyle factors, past experiences and also things such as diet.

If you are constantly scrolling through Tik Tok, watching pron and things of this nature for example, then your baseline levels of dopamine will get pretty bad to say the least, and thus you will be extremely tired because the stimulation that you will need in order to do anything, will be so much that real life simply can not provide most of the time.
