If you haven't been following me for a while I'm going to let you in on the biggest secret that white people aren't supposed to know about the pandemic relief programs
You can pick any name that you think might fit the profile and find hundreds of businesses with a single employee
If we take a look at our first Donquavius, we can highlight a pattern: a huge quantity of PPP loans were given in Georgia. With so many small business owners these must be very vibrant communities!
While many of these loans were given out well before Peter Schiff tweeted this, I'm not sure if he realizes just how prescient his tweet was
Nearly all were forgiven, especially the single employee ones. A few people who made flashy purchases and claimed larger loans got caught
Many, many Dodge Hellcats were repossessed, however. You can find very funny TikTok videos on this
What was the money spent on? Crab legs, down payments for Dodge Hellcats, Air Force 1s, trips to Miami, designer bags, and expensive alcohol seem to be the most common items
Biden has prosecuted a very small number of cases of fraud and sometimes talks tough and spooks them. Meanwhile Trump is often seen as a generous source of free money
In addition to crab populations taking a huge hit from 2020-2022, the proliferation of Dodge Hellcats at this time, seen in the name "Hellcat Me PPP", may also help to explain the famous motor vehicle death rate graph by the great @Steve_Sailer
@Steve_Sailer Inflation, the slow rate that people returned to work, and many other peculiar patterns from 2020-2022 can best be understood by realizing there was a not-quite-life-changing influx of cash into certain communities from fraudulent PPP loans as well as other pandemic-era programs
When you look at the businesses though, you realize a lot of them had a really great sense of humor about the whole thing. It's hard for me to get that mad at people who recognized a really easy mark and got a trip to Miami with bottle service out of it
Again, there are an unbelievable number of datapoints from this era
There are multiple databases that still have all of this available, between this and "PPP + [word]" searches on Twitter it's endless entertainment
🧐🧐🧐
I think there might a reason besides inflation that Nike sales rose to a record high in 2021 and then found themselves with too much inventory by the end of 2022
Anyway here's an unrelated thing that was also happening:
Though I hadn't seen this plot, I'm not surprised. Having monitored this for so long, I noticed that our Pandemic Small Business Owners always call for lockdowns whenever they see a headline about covid cases rising. Many express regret for not getting loans the first time
This scheme was cooked up by a government employee, and someone with a little bit of finance knowledge. Makes sense that people with a little insider knowledge were involved, and that they got kickbacks
Also explains certain cities and states having high numbers of loans
An additional update, someone pointed this out to me yesterday but I can't find the comment
Lyrics from a recent track by Chief Keef:
ImPPPortant second thread about the fate of some of these small business owners:
RW Twitter: Hmm there's a virus in China we should keep an eye on. Maybe we should ban travel from that area.
Dems then: That's racist!
Dems now: This is the worst disease ever and also we should do travel bans.
RW Twitter: Ok well locking down all of society seems like a bad idea, especially the schools.
Dems then: You must want grandma to die!
Dems now: Wow what happened to our kids and also who could have seen this supply chain crisis and inflation coming?
RW Twitter: Idk seems like these cloth masks don't work.
Dems then: Lol guess you don't support seat belts either huh Nazi!
Dems now: So those cloth masks are just decoration, you need N95s, who could have guessed?
The lockdowns are genuinely driving me crazy. I've stopped and realized how much my thinking has been affected since they started and it's dramatic. The absolute destruction of our ordinary routines in favor of these isolated, work-from-home routines has been unbelievably cruel
The simple act of seeing other people around throughout the day, even those you aren't super close to, has a profound impact on your mental health that you don't grasp until it's gone. And the difference between driving to work and rolling out of bed and starting up Zoom is huge
Not to mention it's actually harder to make positive changes. Normally you set aside time within your schedule if you need to clean your car or rearrange your things. But when you have all the time in the world available, it actually becomes even harder to alot that time
