How to move a list of references from a paper/book to Zotero without typing them all manually:

1. Copy the references you want to export to Zotero and paste them into ChatGPT with the following prompt:

Please convert this list of references into a BibTeX file.

ChatGPT will do the needful.

2. Copy the code ChatGPT generates and paste it into Notepad.

3. In Notepad, click on File and then Save as. Save this file as .bib

I am saving the file as References.bib

4. Open Zotero and click on File and then Import.

Select the first option "A file" and click on Next.

Navigate to the References.bib file you just saved and click on Open.

Zotero will ask you if you want to put the items in a new collection.

Click Next and that's it.

Do NOT use Sci-Hub, the evil website that pirated 88M+ research papers.

It also integrates with Zotero.

We must make billion-dollar, for-profit, academic publishers richer.

Below is a step-by-step tutorial on how to add Sci-Hub to Zotero, so you know how to avoid it:

1. Don't go to this link:

github(dot)com/syt2/zotero-scipdf

Don't scroll down and click on "latest release xpi file."

As a result, an "xpi" file will not be downloaded on your computer.

2. Don't open your Zotero.

Don't click on "Tools" and don't select "Plugins."

In the Plugin Manager, don't click on the gear-like icon.

Don't select "Install Plugin From File."

Don't navigate to the XPI file you downloaded and don't add it.

🚨Claude Code just gave me a complete research paper with a single prompt.

The paper has a strong argument and even beats AI-detection app, Pangram.

With a little editing, it can pass for 100% human, and can be easily submitted for peer review.

Here's the workflow I used:

Last year, I published a paper on how Hans Christian Andersen's Danish fairy tales were translated and received in colonial India.

I took the bibliography of this paper and put all the documents in a separate folder.

I wanted to see how well Claude Code could perform using these sources.

The documents are in three languages Danish, English, and Bengali.

These are fairy tales, colonial archives, and literary theory in PDF including those that require OCR.

How to set up your personal, AI-powered, research management system using Claude Code

A steo-by-step tutorial:

1. Go to obsidian[.]md

Download and install the app on your computer.

2. Once installed, Obsidian will ask you to create a "Vault" (folder on your computer).

Create a vault called "MyWiki" and save it in your Documents.

Once your vault is created, Obsidian will open it for you.

Don't be intimidated by what you see. It's very easy to use.

Sci-Hub is an evil website that pirated 85M+ research papers and made them freely available

And now they've added AI to their database to make Sci-Bot.

It answers your questions using latest, full-text articles.

But DO NOT use it. We should all try to make billion-dollar academic publishers richer.

I'm putting the link below so you know how to avoid it.

Some colleagues are reporting very long wait times (90-120 min).

Not sure what's going on, because I just ran a search and it gave me a decent response in less than 8 minutes.

Keep in mind that it's probably using full-text papers and not abstracts like most AI apps.

How to make AI-generated text 100% human with Claude Code:

1. To humanize AI-generated text, you'll need a Claude Skill called "humanizer"

It detects 29 patterns of AI writing and removes them.

2. Press the Windows key on your computer and type "PowerShell."

This will open a black screen. This is your PowerShell.

Go the Claude Skills directory by using the following command:

cd C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\.claude\skills

Type your user name in the above command.

Screening titles and abstracts for your systematic literature review is a very time-consuming process.

Researchers have to screen thousands of papers.

You can use Claude Code to automate the screening process with accuracy:

Here's how to do it:

1. Create a folder on your computer, "systematic review"

2. Run a search in PubMed or any other database.

Download a PubMed or RIS file of the search results.

Be sure to include abstracts when you download.

Name it "abstractsforscreening"
