How to move a list of references from a paper/book to Zotero without typing them all manually: A screenshot of a list of references in a PDF and Zotero.
1. Copy the references you want to export to Zotero and paste them into ChatGPT with the following prompt:

Please convert this list of references into a BibTeX file.

ChatGPT will do the needful.
2. Copy the code ChatGPT generates and paste it into Notepad.
3. In Notepad, click on File and then Save as. Save this file as .bib

I am saving the file as References.bib
4. Open Zotero and click on File and then Import.

Select the first option "A file" and click on Next.

Navigate to the References.bib file you just saved and click on Open.

Zotero will ask you if you want to put the items in a new collection.

Click Next and that's it.

Open Slum had links to Libgen, Sci-Hub, and Z-library to access millions of academic books and papers.

Got shut down. We shouldn't have used it.

We should help billion-dollar academic publishers get richer.

Anyway, here's how to access these libraries:

🚨Don't do this!
1. Don't go to annas-archive[.]org

This will give you access to 42M+ books and 98M+ papers. You don't want that.
2. Don't type in the title of a book or paper you need because it might show up.

If it doesn, don't click on "Fast downloads." Don't click on "Slow downloads" either.

Combined with Deep Research, it can produce well-researcheds article with real references in a few minutes.

And you don't need any fancy prompting techniques either.

Check it out👇
I gave it a simple prompt asking how to read children's literature as world literature.

It asked for a clarification. I replied that I would like to theorize children's literature as world literature.

Ten minutes later, I have a detailed, well-researched article.
It was able to retrieve and consult whole books available through open access.
