I’ve treated over 1,000 people with neck, low back, and shoulder pain.

Many of them were limited by one common problem, poor thoracic mobility.

Here are 6 simple exercises you can use to alleviate pain and improve your posture in just 10 minutes: Image
1) Thoracic Rotation

This stretch is great for posture and imbalances.

To do the exercise:

• Rest leg on pillow or foam roller
• Maintain constant contact with leg
• Lower opposite arm to ground

Aim for 5-10 reps each.

And breathe slowly and deeply through the movement.
2) Cobra/ Prone Press Up

This position is great for resetting the spine after lots of sitting.

To do the exercise:

• Keep low back & hips in contact with the ground
• Only press up to where you’re comfortable
• Move slowly taking deep breaths
• Repeat 10-15 times
3) Thoracic Extension Stretch

Great exercise to offset sitting at a desk.

To complete:

• Rest foam roll between shoulder blades
• Don’t let head drop
• Only roll through middle of the rib cage

This should be comfortable without pain.

Hang here 1-2 minutes.
4) Dead Hang

This is a great stretch for shoulder health and range of motion.

It’ll also help:

• Improve posture
• Stretch your core
• Decompress the spine

To do the exercise:

• Grab the bar
• Remove tension from the arms
• Try to let yourself hang as much as possible
5) Foam Roll Pec Stretch

This a great exercise to open the chest for those who sit a lot.

If you’re a beginner, keep the arms extended for a deep stretch.

Inhale on the way up, and exhale on the way down.

Complete 10-15 reps, breathing slowly and deeply.
6) Ultimate Stretch

This one requires some balance but is an elite stretch.

To complete:

• Put one foot forward in a lunge
• With hand, thread the needle, and rotate up to the sky
• Head follows hand through rotation

Do 8-10 on each side, and rotate though the breath.

Your "Dad Bod isn't a joke.

It's setting you up for chronic disease and stealing your future with your children.

Here's 11 ways it's slowly killing you and how you can stop it in its tracks: Image
1) Abdominal fat

Fat isn't created equal. Visceral fat (beer belly) is the most dangerous. It's fat packed around your organs that releases hormones/proteins that create inflammation.

Over time this increases your risk of:
-Stroke
-Cancer
-Diabetes
-Dementia
-Heart attack
2) Insulin resistance

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas. Poor diet/exercise and abdominal fat limit insulin from moving sugar from the blood into cells.

Over time, your body becomes less responsive to insulin. The pancreas can't keep up and you've become a diabetic.

Your doctor can’t do 10 pushups.

But yet you keep trusting them to take care of your health.

Here are 20 mind-blowing things they don’t want you to know about the “sick-care” system: Image
1) Big Pharma pays for most research.

You shouldn't be surprised when studies also support their products.
2) Heart attacks were nearly nonexistent until processed foods were introduced into the average person’s diet.

Cardiologists weren’t even a respected medical profession until the past several decades.

I've completed 10 Ironmans and treated over 3,000 patients over the past 10 years.

Here's every fitness tip I could think of:

1) Kids will only move as much as their parents do. Image
2) Train your diaphragm. It is the most underrated and underutilized muscle you have.
3) Your core has little to do with your 6 pack muscles.
4) A focused 45 minute workout is more productive than 2 hours with no structure.
5) Establish a full range of motion before you start building strength.
6) Weight train for your metabolism.
7) Do cardio for your mental health.
8) Walk for your longevity.

Your abdominal fat is destroying your organs and setting the stage for diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

Here's 5 ways you can shed that gut and take back control of your health: Image
There are two types of fat: subcutaneous and visceral (abdominal) fat.

Subcutaneous fat is stored under the skin at the surface level.

Visceral fat is far more dangerous because it wraps around organs, releases inflammatory markers, and produces toxic chemicals and hormones.
You can't touch or see visceral fat but it's the beer belly that pushes out the abdominal area.

It's common in those who are skinny fat and lack muscle in their upper body with an increased waistline >40 in. in men and >35 in. in women.

What are the dangers of visceral fat?

You’ve been lied to about about heart disease.

Give me 2 minutes to tell you the truth about cholesterol: Image
We’ve all heard the same story:

“Cholesterol is bad.”

“Cholesterol causes heart disease.”

But it’s simply not true.

We NEED cholesterol to not only survive, but to thrive.

Let's start with the 3 biggest reasons why:
1) Hormonal Regulation

Cholesterol is the precursor for several important hormones like:

• Cortisol
• Estrogren
• Testosterone
• Progesterone

Without cholesterol, these systems don’t function properly.

Nutrition 101 in 25 sentences.

Don't miss this, you didn't learn this in school:
1) The nutrient density of red meats and eggs are unmatched. Anyone telling you otherwise isn't interested in your health.

2) Build a relationship with a local farmer/rancher. It will save you money and do more for your health than any doctor.
3) The best time to eat carbs is around workouts. Your muscles deplete stored sugar (glycogen) and do the job of insulin after exercise to sponge up blood sugar.
