R bill to allow voters to monitor books in schools.

Dems object.

Republican reading quotes.

Speaker Sherm Packer cautions Rep to stop.

Dems trying to shout him down.

Apparently adults in the statehouse can't handle words that 6th graders can read in taxpayer funded books.
2/

Dems keep shouting "No!" and "Stop!".

Attempted censorship from the left.

Dem whip called for a censorship vote to silence the Republican.

Utterly disgraceful.
3/

The Dems don't want citizens watching this at home to know the pornographic materials that they're putting in elementary and middle schools. Image
4/

We beat the Dems! D whip censorship vote went down in flames.
5/

Dems voted to table the bill.

Now we're voting to preserve the speeches in the permanent journal.

Hilarious.

The way this works is that schools hire a full time teacher to sit next to one particular kid ... so you've got a single family that is consuming something like $60,000 of tax services, on top of the baseline costs.

Gold plated Special Ed services are a key cost to towns. Image
2/

...and they're much of what is making housing unaffordable.
3/

The kid literally has Downs syndrome.

I'm not saying he should be locked away, but ... he and a dozen other Downs kids could be in a room somewhere playing with blocks, having fun.

we live in a time where factories don't employ 30% of the population, where factories don't run multiple shifts, and where factories aren't located in cities

you know intellectually that the past was another country, but you don't really FEEL IT IN YOUR BONES

We are insanely richer as a society today than we were 80 years ago.

(I say this a lot when I'm defending the boomers from certain attacks that are unfair - not from all attacks).

Every time I throw out a stat like "GDP per capita is 10x today" ankle biters all scream "it's called inflation - ever heard of it, retard?"

my brother in economics, I already inflation adjusted those numbers

brief thread on how The Atlantic is used by the inner party to disseminate reality / new talking points out to the party faithful.

read this, bear it in mind >>>
2/

because the inner [ left wing ] party elite are now trying to tell the party faithful that YES, actually progs do do a lot of violence.

3/

The goal in this sort of thing is to stop the street-level retards from getting too far out over their skis and doubling down and risking too much reputation capital on bets that are going to collapse.

The smart lefties know the truth and are warning people to align with it.

> Hunger is rising in NH.

it literally isn't

your reminder that the OFFICIAL definition of "food insecurity" includes "ate leftovers once in a given week"

No one is hungry in America; this is a con to coerce support for left wing NGOs.

This woman is losing her shit because Americans are finding and applying for job listings that she and her fellow H1-B lawyers are trying to hide from them. They already have bodies from Indian staffing firms at below market rates lined up and don't want Americans to apply.
2/

If I had to guess?

Because, as an H1-B attorney, she doesn't get paid unless she processes the paperwork for an Indian.

Every American who gets a job reduces her income.

3/

This is an example of "on book" / "off book" thinking.

America is a center of IP creation, corporation formation, and profit formation because of the non-captured externalities of Americans having American culture and doingAmerican things.

This thread is absolutely amazing.

He's accidentally documenting exactly how companies post fake job ads after they've already found the H1-B they intend to use, and doesn't realize that his claim "its just paperwork for government" is isomorphic to "we're comitting fraud".
