🧵More prisoner abuse, snuff-like propaganda, on Israeli TV, this time on mainstream Channel 13.
Palestinian detainees in dark cells, with no mattresses, no clean clothes, cuffed legs, cuffed to each other 24/7, Hebrew music playing loud non-stop.
Full piece in the thread below.
No personal belongings allowed, low-quality and sometimes rotten food, in very small amounts (and no canteen), systematic humiliation, and also, even though it's not presented in the piece for obvious reasons - actual torture and beatings.
Part 1/5
We've already seen Israeli officials claim that random Gazans are "Nukhba terrorists who murdered & raped on Oct. 7", so it's impossible to tell who's really a militant and who's not, who's a Nukhba fighter and who's not, who was arrested on 7 Oct. and who wasn't, etc.
Part 2/5
At first, they make it seem like the harsh conditions are just for the "Nukhbas", but later we see that the other prisoners get pretty much the same treatment. Now remember that an 82 year-old Gazan woman with Alzheimer's was held for two months as "illegal combatant".
Part 3/5
Who knows how many innocent Palestinians are suffering right now inside Israel's detention facilities turned concentration camps. How many more will suffer. Who are they gonna take to fill all those 888 new cells that they're planning in place of the canteens?
Part 4/5
BTW, Yossi Eli presents himself as a journalist who seeks justice, someone who fights against corruption, racism, police brutality, etc. but we see that when push comes to shove, there are very few actual Israeli journalists, and many, many shameless propagandists.
🧵A few more clips from Now 14's pseudo-documentary propaganda piece.
1st, some more glorification of detainee torture:
"Human animals, nothing less. Most of them of course at first deny any involvement, through certain tools &means, we manage to get the confessions out of them"
Major Eli Zilberman testifies about what he "witnessed" on the scene of the Nova Festival on Oct. 7th, and makes up a dead child that doesn't exist (no small children were killed there), then implies that all Gazans are guilty. Bitton Rosen, in response, advocates for revenge.
It wouldn't be a Channel 14's piece without some reminiscing about the good old days of Gush Katif, and excitement over the return to the settlements. It seems that in their eyes, it's a done deal, we're going back, not doubt. Too bad the world doesn't take their words seriously.
🧵I was actually shaking with horror & disbelief when I saw this. It's not just on TikTok anymore, it's now presented proudly on national TV - the public humiliation of Palestinian abductees, kidnapped from Khan Younis, while they were fleeing out of town, trying to find safety.
Civilians bound, blindfolded, paraded by psychopaths in uniforms, for the enjoyment of a sick pseudo-journalistic propagandist, and the whole People of Israel. As you can see in the following clips, these are obviously not Hamas militants, but completely random Palestinian men.
They call the makeshift checkpoint "Nakaz", which roughly translates to "drainage point". They're draining Khan Younis of Palestinians, and arbitrarily kidnap some along the way. And they're doing it all so shamelessly. As a TV "exclusive" for Netanyahu's propaganda channel.
🧵Rami Levi, owner of the third largest supermarket chain in Israel, who has branches in illegal West Bank settlements where he employs local Palestinians as cheap labor, said today in a conference he "would like to replace all Arab workers with Israelis but this is the reality "
In "this is the reality" he means that there's no cheap Jewish labor, and the
solution he suggests is bringing half a million foreign workers to replace Palestinian workers, including those working in West Bank settlements of course.
He also spoke about the need "to strengthen" the illegal West Bank settlements.
🧵More Israel TikTok Force videos. And more. And more.
Fitness coach and part time genocider Roi Matati posted this and wrote: "POV: when you open your first gym in Gaza"
To complete the SDE vibe he added "Harbu Darbu" as the background music.
Reservist Moshe Zarzar posing for souvenir photos at the Gaza courthouse, which was later blown up, obviously. Of course with a Star of Davis spray-painted next time.
🧵How normalized is looting within Israeli society? Well, liberal, "leftist", Ha'aretz newspaper published a foodie-style article yesterday about soldiers eating looted food.
Seriously one of the most disgusting pieces of "journalism" I've seen. Complete lack of self-awareness.
Here are just a few unbelievable quotes from this shameless piece.
"I have the hardest time with mediocre and unpalatable food, it brings me down. So we decided to make food a place of sanity for us"
"The food plating is also part of the fun, the table should be clean and tidy"
It's not like they didn't get enough food for Israel, they got lots of it.
"So we also took what the army gave... combined it with products we got from home... with the raw materials we found in the houses we stayed in... Let's say local spices... with good cheeses and sausages"
After some failed rescue attempts that resulted in Israeli & Palestinian deaths, IOF managed to save two hostages tonight.
I'm happy that Fernando & Louis are alive, but I'm afraid there's a good chance this will kill any possible deal & cost more lives, including the hostages'.
Two rescued hostages in almost 4 months of incursion is not very impressive, & still this fits right into the action movie fairytales Netanyahu & Gantz are trying to sell the Israeli public. Bibi & the security establishment already didn't want a deal and this is gold for them.
Of course no one will mention the dozens of Palestinians who were killed by the Israeli army strikes during the commission of this mission, and not even the fact that it gravely endangered, and might have even physically hurt, the lives of other hostages.
