🧵Luxury Hamad towers in Gaza, below, is a microcosm of the entire Gaza war: massive int'l aid pouring in, Gaza is actually a modern urban enclave, Hamas exploitation of civilian Gaza for war, careful IDF action within rules of war & tragic destruction. Overview & analysis: 1/9
Hamad towers near Khan Younes consists of about 60 5-story buildings with ~3,000 apartments initiated & funded by Qatar in 2016 with over $200 million in donated costs. The towers were built & inhabited in phases as part of a new luxury neighborhood. 2/ gulf-times.com/story/557266/w…
Below is a luxury wedding dress shop housed in retail section of towers. Parks, high end mosques, etc. Sudanis, Yemenis & Afghanis could only dream of this. Didn't you know they have these in open air prisons? Enjoy the whole video about this shop. 3/
Unfortunately for civilians in Gaza, Hamas leaders & 100s of operatives extensively embedded in these civilian towers to plan, attack, manufacture weapons, tunnel shafts, fire rockets, etc. IDF began operation here in early March after learning about extensive Hamas presence. 4/
IDF could carpet bomb 60 buildings and not risk ground troops. But without specific Hamas targets that would be illegal, against laws of distinction & proportionality; so instead IDF undertook multi-week ground operation clearing civilians first, which of course warned Hamas. 5/
Intense fighting has been ongoing in Hamad with close building-to-building, apartment-to-apartment combat. Again, no carpet bombing, no “genocide” as some civilians still remain. IDF troops have been killed at Hamad as a result of adherence to rules of war. 6/
See video of IDF action in Hamad. Hamas attacked IDF forces with several cases of human shields. Again, no indiscriminate destruction as libelously claimed but troops risking lives in close combat. Some would say they shouldn’t have to do it this way. 7/
To defeat Hamas in Hamad, IDF airstrikes, tank firing, combat etc. has caused extensive damage, this is a photo from March 13. Tragic. Did it have to be this way? No. Hamas could have decided not to embed in Hamad towers. Every Hamas operative could have surrendered. 8/
It’s also true as some will say, IDF did not need to go into Hamad. It could instead allow 100s of would be serial killers to survive to kill, rape & kidnap Israelis as Hamas vows to do again. But Israel decided that was not acceptable, so it went in to destroy Hamas. END

🧵Hours of Hamas martyr videos reveal Hamas' core battle strategy: fighters roaming Gaza in regular clothes, often unarmed, to blend into the civilian population. That tactic explains IDF errors such as tragic killing of 3 hostages and incidents in no-go zones. A PHOTO ESSAY:
Men in polo shits prepared IEDs, went in & out of tunnels, fired rockets, entered apartments with PRE-POSITIONS weapons (important) to fire at IDF forces – then when killed always listed as civilians. Every photo shown here is from combat action in Gaza filmed by Hamas. 2/
Thousands of Gaza buildings were booby-trapped – among the most common activity seen by Hamas operatives dressed in t-shirts and sandals. Which is a main reason why every place urban combat took place was destroyed. 3/
🧵Hamas regularly used child soldiers in Gaza—like 12-year-old Khalil Al-Dhaifi, killed in Al-Shati area on Sept 26, 2025. Khalil (ID# 434373940) is one of several Al-Dhaifi family combatants killed in the war and one of 1,000s of Hamas & PIJ child soldiers in Gaza. Details: 1/
Khalil appears on final Hamas MoH fatality list issued Feb 2026. Several Al-Dhaifi relatives were combatants e.g. Moman Al-Dhaifi (seen in recent Hamas martyr video). Family posts show the 12-yr-old with an AK-47; earlier images prove he used guns from an early age. 2/
Social media posts available upon request. The “Genocide in Gaza” site lists Khalil and his death details but crops out the weapon, as all entries are presented as civilians. 3/ gigaza.org/martyrs/%d8%ae…
🧵Hamas & PIJ’s own martyr notices now shatter claims that IDF airstrikes on homes in Gaza, many in 2023, were indiscriminate or targeted low-level fighters. Of 2,000 killed Gaza combatants identified so far, 157 were commanders killed where they were based—their homes. Details:
The first name on the list is Hamas Company Commander Shadi Awni Toutah. According to Gazan websites documenting fatalities, he was killed in an airstrike on his family home on the same day of the 10/7 attack. This was a highly targeted attack by the IDF. 2/
The second name on the list is PIJ Platoon Commander Bilal Abu Khousa who was killed in his family home on Oct 8, 2023 in Deir Al-Balah according to Gazan documentation. He was lauded as a martyr in social media but not revealed as a combatant until PIJ did so in May 2026. 3/
🧵UN Human Rights Council issued a "report" claiming, without a shred of evidence, that IDF forces by national policy identified, aimed & killed Palestinian children as such, sometimes for target practice. I wrote a rebuttal for @UNWatch summary below. 1/ unwatch.org/un-watch-legal…
1. Failure to provide corroborating evidence of any incident of IDF soldiers targeting children: A review of the incidents cited by the COI shows no evidence supporting the report’s headline allegation. In none of the cases can the COI definitively establish that a civilian Palestinian child was identified by an IDF soldier and intentionally targeted for death. That conclusion is speculative throughout. The COI’s methodology effectively assumes that a child killed in Gaza was both killed by the IDF and intentionally targeted merely because the child died.
2. Erasure of Hamas as a belligerent: The Report erases Hamas and other armed groups as active belligerents despite their deployment of tens of thousands of operatives throughout Gaza and their extensive military infrastructure built over 17 years, including vast tunnel networks, weapons stockpiles, booby-trapped buildings, and command facilities embedded within civilian areas.[2] There is no acknowledgement or discussion of Hamas’s use of hospitals, schools, mosques, residential buildings, and humanitarian zones for military purposes, or its openly acknowledged strategy of operating from within the civilian population.[3] A reader would come away believing the IDF was deployed in Gaza against only women and children. By ignoring the existence of Hamas and other armed groups as an opposing fighting force in Gaza, the COI creates a framework in which the deaths of children are presumed to reflect deliberate targeting rather than the realities of combat in an urban battlefield.
🧵IDF struck a car in Khan Younes on Jun 26, 2025 widely portrayed as killing "civilians"—but Hamas admitted today that victim Manar Al-Farra was a commander; Haitham Al-Agha was in Hamas' Sahm unit. What are the chances the other three men killed were "civilians"? Detail: 1/
How do we know Manar Al-Farra and Haitham Al-Agha were killed in this attack? This was widely reported in social and other media. And Hamas released today a 4-minute martyr video identifying Farra as a commander. 2/
Haitham Agha is openly identified by Gazans on social media as a Hamas operative. The other three will be eventually identified as combatants too, as they were not simply riding with a Hamas commander & Sahm operative to go shopping. END
🚨Ahmed Samir Muhammad Washah, killed today by the IDF, was NOT an Al Jazeera journalist but a Hamas operative. Social media posts lauded him as a mujahid and show him armed. His brother Muhammad was also a combatant, like dozens of terrorists now proven as fake "journalists" 1/
His brother Mohamed Washah was a commander in the anti-tank unit, confirmed by numerous photos. 2/
Dozens of fake journalists have been outed by Hamas and PIJ themselves, it is no longer an Israeli claim. Here are just a small sample of the many confirmed terrorists posing as journalists. END
