Regarding the terrorist attack in Moscow: the FSB and the Putin regime are perfectly capable of blowing up their own people for political reasons. In this case, however, it appears we are dealing with an attack by ISIS.
So far, very little is known. But the fact that U.S. intelligence knew that an attack was being planned is a strong indication that they learned of it from sources in the Middle East. If this was planned by the FSB, they almost certainly would not have known about it in advance.
ISIS is claiming responsibility. They would have no reason to do so if the attack was carried out by the FSB.
ISIS is gaining strength in Afghanistan where our disgraceful withdrawal created ideal conditions for the resurgence of Islamic terrorist groups.
ISIS has every reason to seek revenge against Russia for its role in saving Assad.
The Russians so far have not accused the Ukrainians although the Ukrainians have correctly pointed out that Putin’s rule began with an act of terror and have accused the regime of responsibility for this one.
If the Russians lay the blame for this attack on the Ukrainians, that will be a possible sign that they were involved but it might also be an attempt to use the event to their advantage.
The Putin regime has no problem murdering its own citizens but at the moment and pending further information, this looks like one crime in which they were not involved.
