holy shit. The NYT just went back and retroactively added an "update" to their original hoax piece citing their own reporting that undermines the entire hoax, as they still defend it. They are flouting every basic rule of journalistic integrity and ethics openly and shamelessly

this would be like if the NYT went back and added "updates" to Judith Miller's WMD pieces going "yeah actually this is bullshit, but we still fully stand by it". This is unprecedented levels of intentionally violating the most basic, minimal standards of journalistic integrity
if you work at the New York Times or any media outlet and are seeing this, are you not deeply ashamed at what is being done here? And for what? To protect Jeffrey fucking Gettleman, Adam Sella the food blogger and his uncle's partner Anat Schwartz? This is utter fucking insanity
but it's not just that. Gettleman, Sella and Schwartz are just fronts for Joseph Kahn and others in NYT leadership that gave them the task of fabricating a genocidal atrocity propaganda hoax that is the worst in their history since Judith Miller. It's pure self-preservation
Kahn and others in NYT leadership don't care that they are undermining not just their own reputation but the credibility of the entire journalistic profession with their shameless refusal to admit what they did and take appropriate actions demanded by basic journalistic integrity
again, basic journalistic ethics and integrity demands the immediate firing of Jeffrey Gettleman, Adam Sella and Anat Schwartz, the immediate retraction of all their hoax pieces in the NYT, and yes, also the firing of Joseph Kahn, who signed off and defended all this. That's it
even in their "update" to the hoax they are still lying and trying to maintain the hoax in the most shameless, deranged way possible, directly contradicting their own claim as Jeremy explains. Again, they are flouting every basic standard of journalism

the New York Times just published another piece pushing the "sexualized violence" claim, though they are careful to never use the term rape, "mass rape" or "systematic". The entire Israeli propaganda apparatus is boosting it, including government accounts. They love this so much
now I read the piece carefully. What is the claim? There is no claim of systematic, intentional Hamas mass rape in it, so anyone trying to link it to that hoax is a clear propagandist liar, and shows how desperate they really are to keep that genocidal atrocity hoax alive
do a search for the term "rape", it doesn't occur once in the over 4000 word piece. Not once. So what is the claim? A prisoner released in the prior ceasefire now says that she was sexually assaulted by one Hamas guard, without specifying what the exact nature of the assault was
