In 2011, Christopher Ramsden of the NIH began reading the research on saturated fat and heart disease.
He soon realized the largest human experiment to ever be conducted on the subject, the Minnesota Coronary Survey of the mid 70s, was missing most of the data.
The researchers had passed away, so Ramsden reached out to their children to see if they had any idea why these studies were missing data.
