Lesbian History : The Origin Of The Slur "D¥ke":🧵
Whenever we are talking about the history of the slur "D¥ke", it is associated with Lesbians and originated from Black American Vocabulary.
So First off, what is "D¥ke" and what does it mean ?
Historically speaking, the usage of the word d¥ke has a very big origin in Black culture, as this word and it's predecessor word "Bulld¥ke", "Bull Dagger", "Bull B*tch" etc are often found and was first used in Black American Literature:
However, the slur d¥ke also might have associations with the term "Hermaphrodite" or "Morphodite", which suggests the transphobic and de-gendering origin of this word.
However, in some cases, the word might cheekily refer to a sort of maligned definition of female genitalia, which might explain why this word has an origin in sexual degradation :

Restarting my series on Lesbophobic Dehumanization.
Topic : DV and IPV statistics of Lesbian and Bisexual Women.
For premise, this tweet is currently at the hands of discourse about "Lesbians being abusers of Bisexual Woman". Well, statistics says otherwise.
🧵
If you notice the statistics, it clearly shows that 78% of lesbians are abused by men they were in a relationship with while in the closet or in forced marriages and 23% of them abused by women. And, 89% of Bi woman are abused by men. 11% are abused by both men and or women.
Now you might think it's just one person being lesbophobic. The reality is, it's a common line of thought in the community of bisexual people who basically have the politics of "Monosexual oppression" and "women are bad too". Well, it isn't. Let me demonstrate:
So, let's put forth the whole thing as straight forward as possible. There are several axis of oppression that Lesbians go through as a group. But, if I have to be precise, there are mainly 4 ways Lesbians are oppressed. They are:
Asexual Women are oppressed for their lack of attraction to men and Gender non Conformity and being openly asexual. Bisexual woman are oppressed for being openly bi, gender non conformity and being in a same sex relationship. Hence we have several overlaps.
So I genuinely don't want to see any debate on how lesbians are not suffering the worst brunt of Queer oppression. You know we aren't better off you are simply trying to willfully act dumb because it makes you deal with your bruised ego.
Separatist History : Part 1:
Whenever I think about separatism, I refer people to Begum Rokeya Hossain. She was the first advocate for Separatist feminism as she wrote a Book on it called Sultana's Dream. But most people don't understand the feminist importance this woman had 🧵
If you don't know, this woman is a literal feminist icon in Bangladesh. The Day 9th December in Bangladesh is celebrated as the official "Begum Rokeya Day". Women from all class, profession, age this day would participate in "Rokeya Rally". She is extremely respected here.
She single handedly dedicated her life into working for the liberation of Muslim Bengali women against the Porda System, and would walk up door to door of the houses of girls and try convincing them to send their daughters to her school in Kolkata.
