Lesbian History : Butch
What is a Butch?
Every single piece of evidence about Butch existence directly refers backs to a inseparable connection to Lesbianism and working class Lesbians. Butch is a role and Butches are defined by their audience, Femmes.

Butchness is henceforth not a mere expression of gender but much more complex than that. If your audience is men, you are not a butch. Point Blank. If you are dating a man you are not butch. Butch is defined by it's roles and who you date is important here.

Febfem is a small subculture of Bisexual Sapphics who developed their own terms aside from using Masc or Fem. They are called Iron and Silk and these terms refer to roles a Bi Sapphic plays while in a relationship with women.
Iron refers to Masc Bis and Silk refers to Fem Bis.

Iron came up from the "Fe" of Febfem- Typically refers to bisexual women who are masculine presenting.
Silk came up from the idea that you will get electrolytic charge induced if you rub an iron with silk clothing, which refers the complementary relationship of iron and silk. Image

"Women are just as abusive as men" talking point is actually a big reason why lesbian SSPV victims have a harder time seeking justice in the judicial system. Most often times lesbians cannot report it to police because justice system is homophobic and tell them "You chose it" We are often excluded from the shelters of battered women's agency in case we are a victim of sspv and often lesbian ipv will get cited as "mutual abuse" because both are woman here, SO BOTH CAN ABUSE. And that's how even a victim gets thrown in jail.

Let me calmly address this very specific sort of framing often done by Bisexual Queer MRAs like this OP in terms of Same Sex IPV in lesbian relationship. Aside from this lesbophobe using statistics from 1998, which was through out debunked later on by statistics published in 2010

Now notice the way they at first try to channel themselves as "concerned people" who "care about abuse victims in same sex lesbian relationships. Now, let's humor their own source for a while and look at what the source cited as *aggravating factors* for seeking justice

Hello. I want members of our group to spread awareness about this user. They defend the "D*ke conversion Therapy" subreddit run by Cis men and a couple straight, Bi, Pan Women by saying it's a subreddit "By Lesbians"
The mod of the subreddit is a Pansexual.

Thread on Why Bisexual Women have Higher Abuse and Sexual Violence (89% Male aggressors) rates:🧵
The reason Bisexual Women go through aggravated male violence can be summed up onto 2 key points.
1. Men abuse Bisexual woman more because of Homophobia against Bisexual Women. There is also misogyny that plays a part in it where Bi women are seen as more promiscuous, this is often perpetuated by Bi men most. But most cases of it exist due to homophobia and seeing Queerness as degenerate. This is also why promiscuous het women don't have higher DV rate

Restarting my series on Lesbophobic Dehumanization.
Topic : DV and IPV statistics of Lesbian and Bisexual Women.
For premise, this tweet is currently at the hands of discourse about "Lesbians being abusers of Bisexual Woman". Well, statistics says otherwise.
🧵

If you notice the statistics, it clearly shows that 78% of lesbians are abused by men they were in a relationship with while in the closet or in forced marriages and 23% of them abused by women. And, 89% of Bi woman are abused by men. 11% are abused by both men and or women.

So, let's put forth the whole thing as straight forward as possible. There are several axis of oppression that Lesbians go through as a group. But, if I have to be precise, there are mainly 4 ways Lesbians are oppressed. They are:

Asexual Women are oppressed for their lack of attraction to men and Gender non Conformity and being openly asexual. Bisexual woman are oppressed for being openly bi, gender non conformity and being in a same sex relationship. Hence we have several overlaps.

Separatist History : Part 1:
Whenever I think about separatism, I refer people to Begum Rokeya Hossain. She was the first advocate for Separatist feminism as she wrote a Book on it called Sultana's Dream. But most people don't understand the feminist importance this woman had 🧵

If you don't know, this woman is a literal feminist icon in Bangladesh. The Day 9th December in Bangladesh is celebrated as the official "Begum Rokeya Day". Women from all class, profession, age this day would participate in "Rokeya Rally". She is extremely respected here.
