🧵A Serious Defamation attempt against me tonight by Israeli mainstream media:

I was reached out by an Israeli journalist working for [@newsisrael13]. The journalist wanted to work on an article that will be published tonight reg social media posts of Israeli soldiers in Gaza ->

My journalistic work has gained a lot of recognition lately especially by major newsoutlets after showing the disgusting social media posts committed by Israeli soldiers in Gaza & the West Bank following the war that erupted on October 7th ->

Since the beginning of the war, my family members have received two intimidating calls from the Israeli military, aimed at pressuring me to halt my work.

Despite these threats, I have chosen to continue with my work. Throughout the war, I have consistently shared public posts.

Yesterday, I was contacted by an Israeli journalist who wanted to write an article about my activity. I don’t trust Israeli media so I asked him about the questions he would ask me?

He wanted to ask whether I have an agenda towards Israel ->

Whether I recognize it’s right to exist?!, raising soldiers claims that I treated them “unfairly”?! in my posts on twitter. I was initially positive to the idea attempting to address fairly on what’s happening on the ground. Following consultations with fellow journalists and ->

especially following the massacre revealed at Shifa Hospital, I declined to have an interview on tape and answered his questions on writing. Attached are the answers to his questions.

The journalist insisted on the interview, I made clear that I don’t wish.

The journalist started attacking me and taunting me that I don’t have journalistic standards. He also claims there is not a single war crime in the tweets I posted and demanding me to reach out to soldiers who are committing a genocide and torching hospitals in Gaza. I refuse! ->

The journalist claims what Israeli soldiers are comitting in the occupied territories is not a war crime incl. blowing civilian homes, torching, looting, displaying Palestinian women underwear, killing civilians, using schools as military bases. This includes the posts from WB ->

The upcoming report in Israeli media could further endanger my family, who have recently suffered physical harm from Israeli soldiers, making them more vulnerable from the attack of Israelis & settlers especially the right-wingers who consume the news and publish private info->>

about me on their groups. This is possible bc Israeli soldiers have access to my personal details & ID info due to Israel controlling the Palestinian civil registry. Members of my family have furthermore been arbitrarily arrested by the Israeli occupation forces in the past ->

Israeli military has killed 33 000 Palestinians. The majority of whom are women and children and injured further 75 thousand injured. Thousands more are still missing or have been detained by Israel and taken to prisons with no representation or ability to defend themselves ->

Since the beginning of the war, the Israeli military kidnapped dozens of journalists, placing them in administrative arrest without charges or trial. Over 100 journalists have been killed, and Palestinian journalists, including colleagues, have faced threats ->

from both the Israeli military and settlers, whether in Israel or in the West Bank and Gaza.

I condemn these attacks and hold such journalists responsible if any harm occur on me or my family members following the potential publication of such article.

Instead of journalists from both sides working together on demanding accountability & the war to end such journalists are undermining such work by giving pretext, whitewashing & support such soldiers involved in war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories. END
