Late Tuesday evening, police say a fight erupted on the grounds of Riverton Park United Methodist Church in Tukwila, home to hundreds of people seeking asylum. One of the migrant men allegedly showed a knife but no one got stabbed. It's unclear if anyone was taken into custody but cops say everything is now under control.
The 911 calls to the church for fights and other altercations continue to drain resources from the city.
Last November, advocates say this Angolan migrant was propositioned for sex. She cursed out the man who allegedly offered the cash and went after him with a kitchen utensil. I'm being told he's another Angolan migrant.
There are reports of violent fights between minors and adults, along with dozens of calls to the police for other criminal activities.

BREAKING: Dozens of migrants with children have taken over the tennis court at Garfield Park in Seattle's Central District. They're demanding more housing and resources while they wait for asylum hearings. Immigrant activists with translators just wrapped up a press conference. I'll have a full recap for @FrontlinesTPUSA.
This is all being orchestrated by far-left activists with Stop The Sweeps Seattle and various "mutual aid" groups. They are the ones who guided the migrants to this location.
This group of mostly Venezuelans and Angolans started off at Riverton Park United Methodist Church in Tukwila. During the cold snap in January, they protested at Seattle City Hall and convinced Mayor Harrell to pay for temporary motel stays in Kent.
HAPPENING NOW: King County's controversial homeless hotel is finally opening Tuesday morning in Redmond's Overlake neighborhood. It will house more than 100 chronically homeless men and women through the "Housing First" low barrier model. That means drug addicts will be allowed to live here. Treatment and counseling will be available, but it will not be required. Most neighbors are concerned this will attract crime and a spike in 911 calls, draining resources to from the city.
Since 2021, it's been the center of opposition and protests. Activist groups like Safe Eastside and small business owners accused Executive Dow Constantine and Mayor Angela Birney of working backroom deals, leaving the community out of the decision making process. For a little while, the building remained empty and even housed Afghan refugees since the county could not find a legitimate operator. Salvation Army was finally chosen to run daily operations.
While many neighbors are taking a wait and see approach, there is hope that it won't be problematic as some of the other homeless hotel locations since this Christian non-profit has a strong track record of success. But now Salvation Army opens itself up to scrutiny if something goes wrong.
I've been covering this story since 2021. Here's a quick recap of how we got to this point. 👇
Eligibility requirements for the homeless to live at this Redmond location. It appears King County wants people who have recently spent time in jail or prison.
EXCLUSIVE: Instead of helping Bellevue landlord Jaskaran Singh with his serial squatter situation, Senator Patty Kuderer sent him an email data dump Wednesday afternoon and scolded him for sharing his frustrations.
The Democrat writes: "That said, you should know berating staff and making unfounded accusations do not help anyone."
This is the initial email Singh sent to Senator Kuderer. He's clearly pleading for help.
Critics say Kuderer's Senate Bill 5160 was an overcorrection and tilted rights in favor of tenants and hurt mom & pop landlords.
Less than 24 hrs until Bellevue neighbors mobilize for another massive protest against serial squatter Sang Kim. Organizers say it will remain peaceful like the last time. But sources say city leaders including Mayor Lynne Robinson and Acting City Manager Diane Carlson are already worried about the PR nightmare and want cops to make sure the crowd does not spill on to the streets.
This posture is a stark contrast from January, when pro-Hamas protesters blocked multiple downtown Bellevue intersections with their vehicles and did not face any consequences. So far, no arrests or charges from that day. thepostmillennial.com/exclusive-mayo…
Since Bellevue already set this bad precedent, imagine how bad it will look on Saturday if officers try to enforce the law against Indian American grandmas who want to peacefully march on the street? Many cameras will be rolling.
BREAKING: King County Executive Dow Constantine and Sheriff Patti Cole-Tindall are suing Burien, saying the city’s homeless camping ordinance is not constitutional. They want a judge to sort this out before they start enforcing. Press conference about to begin. 🧵👇🏽
Seattle is not renewing the lease at DESC's Navigation Center, an extremely problematic low barrier homeless shelter in Chinatown-ID. Community leaders believe it attracts crime, open air drug use, and encampments to this neighborhood. But until it goes away next year, lingering issues will persist. Look what's happening outside the ACRS food bank used by many Asian American seniors.
I first told you about the city's decision on DESC this week. Neighbors have blamed this low barrier homeless shelter for open air drug use, crime, and 911 calls spiking in the area.
The Navigation Center is a magnet for crime. Last October, a man unloaded at least 30 rounds and several bullets hit a homeless man nearby. A simple Google search will show dozens of problems associated with this homeless shelter and other DESC facilities.
