🚨 Groundbreaking new study from @MayoClinic, utilizing largest collection of testicular samples in youth, found mild to severe atrophy in the testes of boys who took puberty blockers, leading authors to doubt "reversibility" claims of these drugs.

The new preprint study (not yet peer-reviewed), by researchers from the Mayo Clinic—a globally recognized leader in medical research—challenges the longstanding view of puberty blockers as a reversible "pause button" on puberty. buttonslives.news/p/new-mayo-cli…
The study presents evidence that puberty blockers induce significant cellular changes, impacting testicular development and sperm production in ways that are not reversible, with potentially permanent effects on testicular function and fertility.
As noted by the researchers of this study, no long-term studies exist for the use of puberty blockers in the context of halting puberty for gender dysphoric adolescents, and many potential health consequences remain unknown—including reproductive health.
The Mayo Clinic established the largest collection of testicular samples for patients aged 0-17 years, including those with gender dysphoria who have and have not yet received puberty blocker treatment, creating a database of over 130,000 individual cells for analysis.
Researchers analyzed testicular tissue from youths undergoing fertility preservation surgery, comparing samples from those on puberty blocker treatment to untreated controls and found concerning abnormalities in the treated group. Image
In the case of a 12-year-old on puberty blockers for 14 months, 59% of the sex glands showed complete atrophy, along with the presence of microlithiasis—where calcium clusters form in the testicles. Research shows a link between testicular microlithiasis and testicular cancer. Image
The study analyzed over 11,000 individual cells from the testicles of a 14-year-old on puberty blockers for over 4 years. 90% of the cells responsible for sperm production in this patient were stunted at an early developmental stage, unable to progress further.
The study found that puberty blockers can alter gene expression in endothelial and early-stage sperm cells, potentially disrupting their normal development and leading to issues like juvenile testicular atrophy and compromised fertility.
Many aspects of the long-term consequences of puberty blockers, given to thousands of adolescents off-label, remain unknown. This study contributes valuable insights into the potential irreversible harm these treatments can cause to bodily and reproductive functions.
One unique aspect of this study was that researchers had access to typically unavailable testicular tissues of minors.

The authors assert, “We provide unprecedented histological evidence revealing detrimental pediatric testicular sex gland responses to [puberty blockers].”

🚨New long-term study from The Netherlands finds the desire to be the opposite sex in adolescence is common, temporary, and declines with age

Thread and Link Below⬇️Image
A new Dutch study using long-term data found the majority of adolescents expressing a desire to be the opposite sex no longer felt that way in adulthood, adding to a body of research showing that these feelings are often temporary and decline with age. buttonslives.news/p/new-long-ter…
The study followed 2772 adolescents in the Netherlands through adulthood, from ages 11-26, in a sample comprising both clinical and general populations. 53% were male. Data was collected and analyzed from participants at six different time points between 2001 and 2020.

🧵: The @ArizonaMirror claims a bill aimed at providing healthcare and insurance coverage for detransitioners is unnecessary—it is a tactic by Republicans to hassle people who currently identify as trans.

I explain below why these activists posing as journalists are wrong⬇️ Image
The articles’ premise is that detransitioners face no difficulties in accessing healthcare.

This is false. There are no billing codes for detransitioning, nor is there anything resembling a standard of care, and some insurance companies exclude gender-reversal procedures.
The author, Gloria Gomez (@glorihuh), does not speak to a single detransitioner, opting instead to quote gender activists who argue the bill is “unnecessary” and not a “real issue” because detransitioners’ “medical needs are already covered by insurance.” Image

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) released its Gender-Affirming Psychiatric Care (GAPC) textbook and it’s crazier than I thought. In a recent op-ed, @Miriam_Grossman and @LHSchwartzMD call it a “political manifesto posing as a scientific guide for mental health care.”🧵
The authors of the GAPC claim the sex binary is “mythical,” created by “European colonial influences," and that scientific neutrality is a “fallacy.” Image
It says trans-identified youth are oppressed from “living in a cis heteronormative society” created by “cisgender people in power.” Image

An explainer on how modern “Social Justice” is a Trojan horse for Marxism, where this pernicious ideology has taken root: in university Humanities departments in the form of Postmodernism and Critical Theory, and why this type of scholarship is frivolous and unrigorous.

Also, how Hamas’s allies use one of its offshoots, “Palestine Studies,” and online activism to convince hundreds of thousands of people to believe in a pseudohistorical narrative that aids the terrorist group Hamas.

TikTok is a big problem, but do not underestimate the influence of Instagram’s “Social Justice” slideshows. Far left activists reach millions of people with this form of propaganda infused with Critical Theory and pseudohistory, disguised as the next Civil Rights movement. 🧵 Image
"Social Justice" art & highly conjectural slideshows reduce complex issues into bullet points that give people a false sense of being informed, where they learn to reduce people into oppressor or oppressed categories. It is what launched international BLM protests/riots in 2020. Image
“Social Justice” slideshows turn ordinary people into activists, like me. I was a “Social Justice Warrior” for 8 months in 2020 and worked for a far left Instagram account with 700K+ followers before I came to my senses. I wrote about it for @Quillette. quillette.com/2022/05/17/con…

Conservatives please for the love of the god you believe in, please drop the abortion thing so you can win elections and take back the country from the communists trying to destroy Western civilization.
By drop the abortion thing I mean adopt a stance in line with a majority of voters, which would be drawing the line at 22-24 weeks (viability).
You don’t have to like abortions, you just have to tolerate other people who you don’t even know getting them. Choose your battles wisely. Play the long game.
